jewels, not going to lie, I'm slightly intrigued by your nail removal. There used to be a show on TLC called the Toe Guy or something...it showed toe nail removals, and all sorts of issues related to the feet. I'm gross, I know. I also watch Dr. Pimple Popper.

slenle I’m giving YH the side eye. Just last night I tried to eat with the kids and had to get up eleventy million times to get more juice, more pasta, more meat, napkins, etc etc. I can’t just sit and enjoy my meal ever. MH is usually showering while I feed them.

Ouchhh jewels! That sounds as intimidating as giving birth to me! Good thing sandal season is ending at least so you can not look at it while it grows back.

Also, something bit my ring finger last night. I didn’t see a bug, but all of a sudden I had a really sharp stinging sensation. I woke up to it looking like a pimple on my finger, and now it’s basically throbbing in pain, I can’t even put my wedding ring on. What kind of bug does that? Pop it and soak in peroxide for a minute. It will hurt when you pop it but you need to get the junk out IMO. I have had many spider bites like this.

This is the first day in months and months that I am not buried in work. I'm killing it at year end purchasing, despite curve balls, and getting shit done. Feeling good about leaving for a training next week. Then I found out the judge we have been waiting for confirmation on for 4 years was confirmed last night! Great for us but its going to mean a lot of HR work for me. I'm basically hiding until someone tells me I need to do something. I have a co-hort in HR who says she does the "higher level stuff". I think now is a great time for her to shine.

Speaking of dads feeding their children...when H travels, I don't cook. I let Evie pick what she wants, then I make myself something easy. I don't want to deal with her not eating what I cook by myself. So it's usually a lunchable, easy mac, etc with some fruit. She usually calls H after she eats dinner to talk to him and he always asks what she has to eat. He ALWAYS says she needs to eat healthier. Dude, you take her out to dinner when I'm not home, so STFU. She's fed and happy.
These freaking ads online...mine is currently showing some stupid clip of 'Oncologists are freaking out after true cause of cancer revealed' and the pictures look like an octopus arm and a stomach lining. So gross. I have no idea what bullshit I searched to make this crap show up.

Glad I’m not alone in my annoyance! I think he still has days where he gets moody about me SAH... which is a whole other thing. But whatever. Hopefully he’s over it by the time he gets home or he might get an ear full.
And good news! My niece is feeling better so I’m about to take H to my parents and have some time to myself!

Pete was oblivious. I finally looked at him and said, “Well, don’t get up.”

Funny you sat that, I Actually said to the nurse that I was freaking me out more than when I had my c sections! But guster and @ everyone else it actually wasn't so bad. They numbed me off then took it off. He said that S had done most of the work and it was barely hanging on (sorry if that's gross). I have it wrapped in a giant bandage now and it will stay in that all day, then I remove it tonight and I have to soak it in a betadyne mixture 2 x per day for the next 2 weeks. Keep it covered during the day and uncovered at night after the first 2 nights. He basically said it's 50/50 if it grows back properly or not. And of course it's my big toenail. I wonder if they make lee press on nails for toes?? Anyway, yes, thank goodness it's almost the end of flip flop season since I wear them exclusively from like April - September.

Moms are the default parents because dads are more likely to ignore the kids/be oblivious/be lazy so it's the moms who have to meet their needs. It's bullshit.
The girls kept bugging me during TKD the other night. I was in class and MH was up covering the front desk but it was late so no one was there, aka he was watching YouTube videos. Yet I was the person they went to. 😒😒😒

mwhip, dont feel bad. Because of nightly TKD the girls have a lunch dinner almost every night--fruit, carrots, sandwich, cheese and crackers. 🤷♀️ I rarely cook. The food is still fresh and reasonably healthy though.

My big toenails very rarely grow long, so I have them put acrylic on the top of them. so there’s hope for you and sandal season.

jewels when I used to get my nails done regularly, she told me she had a few clients that she painted toenails on, because they didn't have toes. I think it was usually the pinky toe. I can't imagine it would last long, after washing your feet. Fingers crossed it grows back on its own!

I’ve heard of people losing nails and always wondered how do they grow back? Like, does it start from you cuticle just like a normal nail, or does some other process happen? And does it just look like skin underneath the nail??

I’ve wasted my morning doing nothing. I need to pack for our overnight trip this weekend. I can probably fit my stuff and the boys in one suitcase. I have errands I want to do, too so I need to get moving.

I could only have the same conversation so many times before it was clear he was just happy to let it go on like that forever. Atticus even asked him one day why it’s mom’s job to do the dishes, and when I was running around like a crazy person trying to get everything done for all three kids he once looked at Pete and said, “what do you DO?”

I’ll throw in some meatballs or breakfast sausages, olives for dd and usually some popcorn or crisps, because it a ‘fun’ meal!

Hi!
I just got back from a hair appointment (just a trim); tidying up before I head to pick up C, and then we'll run a couple errands before B gets home. My flight to Nashville leaves at 5:30 a.m. so my usual stay-up-til-all-hours packing/cleaning routine will not work this time!
Re: husbands, DH is not perfect but he is the first one to jump up and help out with the kids or around the house. Of course, the kids still come to me first 99% of the time, but if DH overhears and/or I am busy he is up and at 'em. The guy does not have a lazy bone in his body. I wonder if this is nature v. nurture, and if nurture, I need to figure out what his parents did and train B, lol.

I make a fruit/raw veg/cheese plate with “healthy” tortilla chips and some kind of sliced turkey, smoked salmon, shredded rotisserie chicken at least twice a month. The kids call it a cocktail party it’s probably their favorite meal.
