I’m not sure how comfortable I am with kindergartners having a lesson about 9/11 unless 90% of it involves the paramedics, firefighters, etc. We’ll see what Dude says tonight. That was my thought as well

It hasn't come up for us so we're not there yet. Madison has never come home from school with any questions. I'm curious if she will this year. We've talked about gun violence because that has come up. I've been pretty blunt about that, but also brief.

So remember yesterday or the day before (can’t remember when) I talked about S’s seizures being noticeably decreased lately thanks to her BiPap machine. And how I said please don’t let me jinx myself....
Well today is infusion day and S has had 10...yes 10 seizures during the infusion. I am fairly certain it’s because of the dose of Benadryl she gets before the infusion. Benadryl lowers the seizure threshold. But geez! We were on such a good roll! She been only have 1 every few days...which is so much better than her old normal of 3-4 a day. But 10 just plain sucks.

I’ve been down the Asian skincare spiral, Soko glam is a good simple website that actually has a pdf to download which I printed out and wrote what products to use at each step that i keep with my products. sokoglam.com/pages/the-korean-skin-care-routineLol. I sent this same link to my sister this morning. I attempted to explain it to her over the phone but was failing miserably.

I went down a black hole in the Asian Beauty thread. Now I want to buy all the things. I did Monday! I have a lot in my amazon cart. Not sure when or how I will start to incorporate some of the products yet. I have a bunch of stuff saved in my cart. I’m definitely going to double cleans and try the snail essence. I really need a new eye cream so I might get that at some point, too. I already have BHA and hyaluranic acid serum.

We are staying next to the 9/11 memorial next month and we plan to talk to C about it but not go there or get into detail. I don’t think they discussed it at school since he didn’t mention anything.
I was a sophomore in college and an acquaintance was on the plane to San Francisco. We were the same major and had almost the same schedule and worked on projects together but we weren’t friends. One of my roommates then was from Queens and was freaking out. Since we were in Boston there were all of these alarms going off and cell phones weren’t working so parents, including mine, were terrified trying to get in contact with us.
Dh and I went to NYC shortly after New Years that year and it was still ashy and there were missing persons signs all over. It was really devastating and one of those things that didn’t hit me right away but every time I see something about it I break a bit and just want to cry. I actually avoided a lot of it today and that was best for me. It also astounds me that we still have troops in the Middle East. But that’s a rant for another day.

LO knows a little about 9/11 because I wanted to explain it to him not the school. They didn’t do a good job with stranger danger or school attacks. So I didn’t want this to be scarier for him.
He seemed ok with it and asked some good questions.
I had a friend flying when the attacks happened. He knows how lucky he was and always takes today off and volunteers at events for first responders.

Col's teacher apparently didn't get into 9/11, which is fine. He's got plenty of time to learn about the sad realities of this world we live in.

I have the cosrx snail essence and all in one cream Some sheet masks, the banila cleansing stuff, the earth company toner and maybe a few others. I need to narrow it down and see what products I want to incorporate first. Do you still use the same stuff that you posted earlier this year?

So my cerave came today and the oil one comes tomorrow. $10 a piece so I’m not breaking the bank yet. It will be awhile before I run out of my sunscreen but when I do I’m going to try either the biore or the Nivea.

lahdeedah Did you finish that thread? I’m only on page 29. I skipped over a lot. I realized it started back in 2017 and I went to fall 2018 because I figured everyone would have figured it out by then. Lol. I did scroll back a few times. I also browsed some of the fifty shades of snail blog. She has a recent post about using the cosrx all in one cream for her eyes and she likes it. I’ll link it for you because you said you want an eye cream. I’m all about multipurpose products so I’ll definitely be trying that. fiftyshadesofsnail.com/2019/02/09/cosrx-advanced-snail-92-all-in-one-cream-as-eye-cream/

I was really wanting to try some of the DE and Sunday Riley stuff but the prices had me clutching my pearls. I’m so relieved that it seems I can get good products at a fraction of the price.

The Banila Clean It Zero was a huge miss for me. Now I’m doing: - Kose softmyo speedy oil cleanser - CosRX Good Morning gel cleanser - Klairs Supple prep toner - TruSkin Naturals Super C+ Serum - Pura d’Or argan oil - Cerave, morning and night - MCK Spirulina sleeping pack I’ve got quite the assortment of sheet masks, but my favorites are Sweet Chef Kale and Twosowoong aloe. IME, you cannot go wrong with anything CosRX or Innisfree.

wedding most comfy sweatshirt ever! And don't even get me started on troops in Iraq and Afganistan. In 2011 I was supposed to be part of the final Iraq deployment and we still have troops going. A patient yesterday broke my heart with his deployment experiences. The main criticism I have of Obama is not getting us out of there.

cagoldi and vino How long does it take your full routine? So many steps. Some posts suggested a wait time between certain products. I’m just uncertain how that would go with how our night (not so much of a) routine is.

I’m just uncertain how that would go with how our night (not so much of a) routine is. I do it after the kids go to bed and it does take a while, especially when I use a sheet mask or under eye mask. I dont really give that much time between products, but i dont rush through the products and give the serums time to dry in between steps 🤷♀️. I actually have the sheet out get all products out and uncap them and then just go at it, If I dont I find I get lazy and quit after a couple steps. Once you start seeing results it’s a nice motivator to keep going.

lahdeedah it’s really not bad. At night I double cleanse, immediately do the toner (this is what rakes forever since I do seven skin method), then argan oil, then cerebral, and sleeping pack. I only wait about ten minutes between the oil and moisturizer, everything else is fine on rapid succession. If I were only doing one layer of toner I could get through it super quickly. My C serum also has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide and I find that doing that every morning has enough benefits that I don’t need anything other than my hydration steps at night.
