Yes we saw the tail end of the Serena match at the hibachi place (we could see the TV in the bar area from our table). I saw Meghan Markle was there and now apparently the internet is in an uproar b/c she left the baby to attend.:eyeroll: She cannot win for losing lately. I like Rafael Nadal so I'm interested in the final tomorrow (Federer is my favorite, though, I love his cardigans  ) Did she leave him on the side of the road? Lord. Not like he's 2 days old. |

That reminds me that I need to make appts for the kids’ flu shots. I was waiting until after H’s immunologist appt. I heard something the other day about them recommending getting them early this year. I normally go to the pediatrician's flu shot clinic but I think we'll just go this week. |

We went early because I got the flu last year in late September. Do not want the flu. Plus we had to get Lo’s vaccination records for school so 2 birds 1 stone.

Jack's party went great yesterday. He was so cute opening gifts. He yelled "this is what I always wanted!" After the first one. Then "actually this is what I always wanted!" For each one after. Lol. At one point it was "this one I wanted for a thousand years!"

It's easy like Sunday morning around here.
Yesterday I made a good soup (found butternut squash at Costco. It was hearty and yummy. MH wouldn't touch it. 😒 We had guests and they loves it though.
Got a lot of errands done and went to boot camp with my friend at a park.
Today I want to puzzle and knit. Fall is taking full effect here and I love it.

My SIL takes photos of us in our backyard every fall. She takes lots of posed ones but also snaps a bunch of us in between, which are pretty consistently my favorites.
Anyhow Col's baseball was fun but now he's an overtired mess. It's going to be a fun afternoon and evening.

I don't love the experience of family pics (does anyone?) but I do feel like they're important to record the kids, especially, at various stages. I was thinking this would be the last one before B starts losing teeth in earnest--I think their little faces change so much with adult teeth! Flu shots...Wow, it's about that time, though! peachsmama what a sweetie, she is precious. Hope all the under-the-weather littles are feeling better soon. |

Church did not go well. We didn’t stay for the bbq afterwards because I thought since LO was not behaving it wouldn’t be fun for anyone.

He hates having his picture taken, to the point that we didn't do engagement pictures b/c I knew the wedding photography would be enough for him, lol. B is a pleaser so he's easy, C is a bit of a ham, and I am naturally smiley. DH is the one I worry about! |

Also, hello! We took the kids out to lunch today (chicken fingers at Raisin' Cane's, mmmm), then DH and B headed out for B's first flight and C and I went (where else) to the mall. DH discovered an oil leak during pre-flight and there were no spare planes, so they went to TopGolf and B had nachos while golfing. So still a pretty solid day for him, lol.
I found some random stuff for myself (that it's still too hot to wear) and I think I have it narrowed down to 2 color schemes for the pics, I'm just going to order a bunch of stuff and return whatever we don't wear.

I hate the photographer photos but do love them. Our wedding photog moved to Boston but still comes to our area in the fall and I have penciled us in for late October. They have done wedding and 2 family sessions, so I want to have some with our new house and baby. I need to get over the cost before I consider outfit coordinating.
We had a full day. The first party was super casual and fun, met lots of nice families. Then went to our friends house an hour away...they upgraded to a very adult/gigantic house. It was great to see this group of friends, but hard to catch up when we only visit basically once a year. And j forgot he couldn't swim and panicked when he tiptoed too deep in the pool. Mh was seconds from jumping in before he got his footing, but he kept his head above water.

We have never done family photos professionally. I did each kid’s first birthday and then I get whatever school/sport photos every year.
I was going to wait on flu shots because twice we had them in September then had the flu in May and the doctor said maybe we got the shots too early. Now I’m going to have to look into that again. Last year I did them first week of November.

So LO made himself throw up because he didn’t want to eat dinner. But he still thought he would get a treat. Big fat nope on that.
Both kids have been little terrors today. Not a fun time for me tonight.

We do flu shots at the beginning of oct usually.
I am pro professional photos. We never did them, or really took family pics at all when I was a kid and I wish we did. I plan to do them every other year though because $$.
I have been working on repairing the hole H put in the wall for the last couple of days. I just painted and am waiting for it to dry to see how well I did. I bought a can of texture spray because our walls are orange peel texture and it worked really well. The girls were put to bed at their normal time...but then didn’t fall asleep for like 2 hours. So they should be delightful tomorrow. Luckily they both have school tomorrow.

I always do flu shots when M goes for his yearly check up in November. I think we didn’t them a little earlier last year because we ended up at the doc’s office for something.
