I was convinced it was Saturday this morning... well it wasn’t. I was at work on time, but only just and without my lunch. Hope you had a more realistic start of the day!

Since M's school starts at 7:30 I've actually been early to work. So far, she's been good about getting up this week. We'll see how long it lasts.

All of our new doors are now installed....but now I'll need to replace the shutters because they don't go with the front door. Ha ha ha!

Day two was harder than day 1. N had a good day yesterday but told me she didn’t like being confused on what to do. This morning, she said she had a tummy ache and didn’t want to go to school. then h bonked her on the mouth right before she got on the bus so i had to send her on crying. Ugh.

Allergy shots this morning, which meant Cadence had zero desire to get dressed, brush her teeth, or brush her hair. Ready to go? No, because suddenly her shoes feel funny and she refuses to wear them. Put a different pair of shoes on and got out the door. I'm exhausted.

Morning. H is off to school and S and I are playing outside. It’s supposed to get to 87 today. This morning when I was dropping H at the bus it was 60, dang bipolar weather. Nothing else planned for the day, except I have to work tonight.

Morning ladies. Sorry for some of the rough starts.
Maddie had a great day yesterday, much to my relief because the start of K and 1st didn't go so smoothly. She said she got a lot of compliments on her Chinese dress and felt good in it which made me so happy. She's my tomboy who doesn't like dresses and last year told me, "I'm not like other girls--I'm not pretty." Broke my heart. I'm glad to see her feel more confident.
Cass had a tough time with Maddie gone, but only 2 more days of that and she'll be in school too.
One of the ladies in TKD continues to act crazy and weird. It's bizarre to me how some people just never grow up. She's in her mid-40s and acts like an annoying 12 yo. Luckily she usually only comes twice a week (but lies and tells everyone who doesn't come more often so they know any better that she's always there because apparently she thinks she'll get a gold star--weirdo).

Is that when her before-care starts or actual school? The earliest I ever started was in high school and even then it was 0750. Yay for being on time though.

You can start dropping them off at 7 and breakfast starts at 7:15. Last year they re-did the start times for all of the schools in our district to streamline the buses. They had 83 different start times. So now all elementary schools start at 7:30 and middle school & high school starts at 8:30. They offered 3 different scenarios and had the parents vote. A lot of high school students were responsible for dropping off younger siblings, so that's why elementary is so early. My high school started at 7:30. I had to get there by 6:30 to get a parking spot though.

My sister's SIL posted this long fb post about how her daughter started preschool and was so annoyed by all the crying kids (first day being dropped off) and kept saying they were a bunch of babies and needed to shut up. Guess who's in the same class and was crying at drop off? L! Ugh.

I went to a small private school though so parking was never an issue.

First bell rings at 7:30 for all the kids to leave the cafeteria, in silent orderly lines following their teacher. Kids should be in their classrooms, in their seats at 7:45 for the final bell. Classroom doors are locked at that time. If your child arrives after 7:45 they must first go to the office where the teacher is called to unlock their door for the late child.
Parents are not allowed beyond the office after 7:45 unless they have a visitor badge.

Edit - I just finished reading. But honestly she's still a little shitty for posting that anyway.

S started K today, he did great! S requested B come with us for drop off so he could see the school... Then B cried the whole way to day care "I want to go to Kindergarten!!!!!" So, that was fun.
I can't wait to hear about it tonight, but my guess is it will mostly be "I don't remember" and "I don't know" b/c that's my usual daily report from anything he does.

Yeah, my graduating class had a little over 1000 people in it. Right before my 20 year reunion they finally redid the high school. Now it's 2 stories and freaking huge! They moved the 9th graders over the the intermediate school across the street. The intermediate school got rebuilt on NASA's campus a few blocks away.

If my kid says something akin to an asshole I correct her and explain why that's something a douche canoe would say and encourage her to have some empathy. It's not something I'd post on FB. But a lot of people post a lot of weird crap on social media I never would so there's that.

klong11 inthekitty I'm not going to make you read the royal thread but the argument about Harry & Meghan flying private ensued because of Harry's recent comments about the environment. It then turned into a shit storm of 5 pages.
