My blood pressure was 150/79 at my appointment today, so they made me go to L&D for more monitoring. My urine came back borderline with protein and my BP has been high so I'm here until tomorrow for a 24 hr urine test. Hoping it comes back normal and I can go home. Hope things come back normal today. When do you find out if you can go home?

The kicks last night and today have been lower. Less in my ribs. Maybe Frisco will actually drop unlike #1 who refused to descend, even in labor until the very end. 🤞🤞🤞

My anxiety has really been ramping up this week and I'm wondering if it is hormonal? Yesterday my anxiety was through the roof all day and there was no real reason I could identify (unless caffeine is suddenly to blame? I have a cup of coffee in the morning and one of those mini-cans of Diet Coke in the afternoon. I have pretty much had an immunity to caffeine my entire adult life, so this would be unusual), and it never went down. I went to work out because that usually calms my anxiety, but it didn't really work at all and I almost left my class it was so bad. It's already amping up this morning, and I did a quick meditation using the Calm app, which usually helps, and it did nothing. UGH.
My BH contractions have been releasing anxiety feelings, so I'm wondering if those are just increasing? Is it going to be like this for the next month? WAAH I hate this.

I have so much space in my ribcage and tons of pressure in my pelvis. No idea how I'm going to last 3 more weeks with her situated like this! I'd almost rather her be up a bit higher because I look like a damn penguin waddling around today.

Really hoping they don't want to deliver this early (35 and 5) but we'll see. I was planning to work for a few more weeks too. She seems happy in there (per non stress tests) and I don't want to evict her but I guess the drs know best.

stayingblonde My anxiety is always worst even when pregnant the week before I get my menstrual cycle (when not pregnant). I wonder if the timing is the same for you. It took me forever to figure out it ramped up the same time every month even pregnant.

stayingblonde I have been having extreme feelings of anxiety and guilt everytime I have to pump. I thought it was just because I hate it so much but I decided to Google it and it's a real thing. Apparently my body has a drop in dopamine right as my let down is triggered. I'm sure that's not what's happening with you but maybe there's something random going on with your hormones.

goldenlove I remember getting anxiety when pumping last time! I had totally forgotten about that. I also did a little googling and it looks like increased anxiety because of pregnancy hormones is definitely a thing. Ugh. So annoying. I hate feeling so anxious all the time!

It's seriously the wooorst. Like pumping needs more to make me not wanna do it. I've been thinking about asking the lactation consultant since they're there but from what I read there's not much you can do.

Looked at the list of names with H and turns out there's only one of mine he vetoed, so the situation is not as dire as he made it out to be when he told me last Saturday night that he didn't like any of the names on my list. He only had three girl names on his list and I knocked off two of them because one had too much of an 80s feel and the other is way too popular for my liking. I'm iffy on the third but we'll leave it while we put more names on our lists and then discuss again in a few days.

MH took R out of the house for the afternoon/evening so I could get my nesting on. I set up the rest of the baby area, did a ton of baby laundry, sorted through all of our NB and 0-3mo clothes and put them away, and listed a bunch of my own stuff on Poshmark and Offer Up. I was feeling like a damn champion by the time they got home.
Pregsomnia (and my little dog) woke me up at 3am, though, and I wasn't able to get myself back to sleep. I'm pissed about it.

stayingblonde pregsomnia is the worst. I keep waking up for a few hours every night and haven't slept past 5:15 in a few days. It's so counterproductive, especially at this point in pregnancy!

I walked my oldest two to school this morning and I'm thinking that may be more frequent before DD3 gets here. It's so nice out but I also need to build up some endurance for labor and, ya know, if it helps get things more ready for her to come, then it's worth it!
Plus, of course, the kids loved it. Minus the fact that I got the kindergarten school drop-off time mixed up with the drop-off time at the school they're both going to...one downside to them switching schools so frequently! (Our district is set up so that students change schools about every 2-3 years. Keeping track of the different schedules is fun when you have multiple kids attending multiple schools haha)

She was born yesterday at 36 weeks, 5.5lbs. My protein came back high so they diagnosed with mild preeclampsia and induced. She had been in NICU for blood sugar and temperature but I am hoping she will get out soon. She's such a little darling.
