I decided to do a woodland theme for E's birthday. It matches his bedroom theme.
We also decided to do riding tractors for the boys from Santa. I'm talking about the kids the run on batteries. E probably won't understand but N will. Then we will make them wait until after winter to us them. lol.

Thanks for sharing this! Very cute. I think I might get DS a lion bag one because he loves carrying things, and we will likely get another box of pull ups that had a free backpack before Christmas so he won’t always steal his sister’s.

For Christmas we usuallly only do like one bigger present from us, one unwrapped one from Santa, and stocking. My side goes bat shit with presents so no need. I’ll probably do the above thing from Santa and he will get the kindle and headphones from us.

WOW. Boy, it feels like a full moon in the school today.
I'm debating buying a roomba or something of the sort. Is it really worth it? My boys are so messy with their food and then add two long haired cats on top of it, I feel like I sweep constantly. Should I just bite the bullet?

We have three floors now so I don’t think it would work great but we are going down to two in the next house. Also I’m pretty sure we are going to start having a cleaning fairy starting next month. 🤷♀️

This morning was busy. Both kids has a dentist appt I took them to solo, and then DD’s swim lesson. Now I’m going to try to do some work while they are both napping.

Today is a big football game to watch. Dh wants to go up to ILs since it’s gohng to be hot here, but we have our dog 2 days post surgery in a donut so I don’t know if we will just bring him and lock him in the house (he usually swims) or one of us stays back with him.
I had some gnarly dreams last night that gave me some anxiety about our upcoming cruise with the kids.

We just got one on prime day and it's pretty awesome. Sorry about the bad dreams ldubhawksfan. My trip to LA got cancelled by my sister because her concussion is still bothering her. So I made DH and DD go to Seattle with me 🤷 not quite the same, but we're having fun anyway!

Hi, ladies! I’m solo with the girls this weekend. It has actually been a really nice weekend. H is up in nor Cal with MIL. Yesterday, we spent the morning at the gym for lessons and my workout, and then C took an epic nap. We walked to the library after nap, then had pizza for dinner and watched Secret Life of Pets 2. This morning we relaxed and we are now headed to Target and Michaels. Somehow I don’t have enough fall decor for my liking... I will never have enough. 😂

I've been super sick all weekend and we've been busy from dawn until dusk both days this weekend. All commitments to other people too, nothing for us. I'm fucking beat and not looking forward to the work week.

Sorry you've been sick cnf! sarahandben108, who does that!? It's a labour intensive one too, egg salad. I'm quite pleased that we were home around 2:30 today. We got an early start after our free hotel breakfast - it actually wasn't too bad! So when we got home we were able to get a few groceries, make dinner, give DD a much overdue bath and put everything away. I just didn't start the laundry yet. DD's swimming lessons start tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it. She finally learned how to two foot jump so I think she'll really like jumping in now.

Good morning and happy Monday! We had a fun and busy weekend. Saturday was filled with grocery shopping, going to the farmers market (I love it in the early Fall), and DH smoked a Pork shoulder and played with the boys outside while I cleaned the house. I got everything set for the week on Saturday night (laundry put away, lunches packed, breakfasts prepped) because we went to the Packer game yesterday. It was a bit tenuous in the 2nd half but we pulled through for a win. It was so much fun!
C has been crazy lately. He’s sweet and happy 80% of the time but sometime he’s so frustrating- he’ll scream and screech and cry because he wants something, and if we don’t know what it is or give him the wrong thing, it just gets worse. We’re really working on trying to get him to use words but he’s just not there yet.

cnf hoping you feel better and the week goes well. I’m back at the pumpkin patch and I’m worn out and clearly need up bump up my physical therapy exercises. Not sure if I mentioned it here, but when I was pregnant with A, I was rear ended at a low speed - I was stopped and some guy decided to ignore the traffic lights. Ever since, my hips haven’t been the same. It sucks, but until my 9 hour PP days, I was doing so much better. Last year is when it really started to bother me, so I’m not surprised, just thought it wouldn’t be this bad with the work I’ve been doing. Blah. Overall, it is nice to be back and being attacked with hugs and kisses at the door when I get home is pretty special too.

sarahandben108 - I hope your H replaced your lunch! If it makes you feel any better, when BIL lived with us he did that so often we had to start labeling stuff we didn't want eaten. Once, he and H ate 2.5 dozen frozen raw cookies. (I had pre-scooped them so I could bake them later.) There was no note on them because I thought being FROZEN and RAW would have been enough of a deterrent. It was not. Happy Monday, all! Weekend was busy - we kicked it off with N managing to get his hands on a bottle of disinfectant at DC and spraying himself in the face (literally 5 minutes before I arrived to pick him up). He's fine. Saturday was second swim lesson, a party for one of H's friends, and judging a play for our local awards. Woke up yesterday to find something had bitten N on the ear (probably a spider MOTN, H said he got super animated for a minute and then went back to sleep), and it swelled up like twice the size of the other ear. It's much better this morning but all I want for the next seven days is to not have to call the pediatrician. *facepalm* In better news, I am co-planning our big monthly full department meeting this week. We always end it with a game that either educates us on our company, each other, or do something that fosters communication/teamwork/etc. I decided to take it up a notch and we are creating an in-house escape room. We even got the CEO in on the story. I am way more excited to be working on this than anything else I have going this week lol.

Im laughing at the thought of your lunch being stolen and it wasn’t even at the work fridge! In all fairness, it wasn’t in my lunch bag. I just had it in a container. But both boys had their lunch bags in the fridge for today and I didn’t have room for mine. I was still super annoyed. It didn’t help that after he ate it he told me it was delicious 😂

Sorry you’re not feeling well cnf. I hate weekends that a filled non stop. How’s the job going? The job is ok. I really love the kids, it's such a huge change from being in the inner city. I'm bummed about the curriculum. I'm just not excited about what I'm teaching and it makes me feel like I don't want to be here long term.

Hi, ladies. Happy Monday? As happy as a Monday can be, I suppose. I actually had the first Sunday evening in months, maybe longer, where I actually felt ready to enter the work week. It was a nice feeling. I really think my fall candles contributed to my feeling of calm. Haha.
We had a lecture today at work. It was supposed to be my Monday off, since I am working Saturday, so I am taking Friday instead. I am excited about that. I still have to work Saturday, but having Friday and then Sunday off feels almost like a full weekend, even with a work day sandwiched in between. And I scheduled a massage for Friday afternoon!

Received a diffuser to try from some Amazon seller. I have zero essential oils. Found some Reddit thread today that mentioned boiling water with vanilla extract or other spices. So I popped some water, cloves, vanilla and cinnamon into a pot on the stove. Boiled it. Refilled it a ton of times over the day. Decided why not put it into the diffuser instead of keeping the stove on. Strained it. Popped it in there. My house has smelled like fall all day. I’m so happy.

I’ve had jobs that I was good at, felt like I was just checking boxes and doing what needed to be done, but loved the people I worked with. Hopefully something else opens up and you can move into what you enjoy. Sorry this is such a sucky transition.
