kim22 the one from top to bottom or the ones between your molars? The first one I had to do myself, of the latter one I can only remember the orthodontist putting them their. Maybe he/she can teach him? I had braces for three years (12-15) and they suck! ETA they had little hooks on them... the first period I had to put some beeswax around them, because I got sores in my mouth. Just a (not so fun) heads up...

kim22 I had rubber bands for a brief time 25+ years ago and I remember the initial learning curve putting them on, being difficult. But once you get used it, they're a breeze. Hopefully you can find something to help him.

Anyone’s kids watch The Inbestigators (not a typo) on Netflix? It’s such a cute show. 4 kids get together to solve mysteries in their town. And the accents are adorable.

Just got a text from a dc mom friend. She said she saw Cadence this morning and helped her find her teacher's table. THANK YOU!!! I'm going to talk to Cadence and see if she just wants me to park and walk her in for awhile until she gets used to where to go. I can't handle the stress.

The front of my thighs are killing me. No idea why, but I just slathered Biofreeze all over them, and I really enjoy this kind of numb tingly feeling.

We can’t walk them in, so I imagine Josie just hanging around, wandering, and looking at the different classrooms and no knowing she should be somewhere else. Irrational, I know.

LO has a good first day. There are a total of 11 kids. 6 from preschool so he has friends already and he is sharing a desk with a girl from preschool. He didn’t even blink when we said goodbye.
We took him for ice cream afterwards. He was in green today (excited to learn is what that means) and he told us that he didn’t get to play with the toys today. And he can’t remember anything else.
The pickup line was ridiculous. I will be parking and going in. We waited 15 minutes before realizing we weren’t going anywhere for awhile so I got out and C went around and parked the car.

Vent ahead:
I changed my work schedule so we only had to pay for homework help after school and no before school care. C agreed to cover for someone tomorrow morning at 5. He’s suppose to take the kids to school and daycare in the morning around 8. So now I have to come in later to work and use one of our 12 passes for they year for Lo to go to before school care and still go to work later (I have to be there by 8 for a meeting so I have to drop E at dc by 700 and LO at school at 715.
C didn’t even think about the kids or my schedule when he did this. It will only be the 2nd day and he’s already making me rearrange my schedule for him. He didn’t have to change his shift he volunteered. When I asked him to pickup LO and E he made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. Dude, I have to work a full shift, this school has a lot of no school days and I know I will have to be the one to take the time off.

They go to a little playground in the front of the school and play if the weather is permitting, then they’re all walked in through a door there by aides. I don’t actually know what they do if the weather is bad. Let’s hope for sunshine! Eta: they told us there are aides to help get them out of the car and usher them to the playground. And only the kindergartners play on this playground.

It’s just so frustrating that he assumes I can just change my schedule at any time. I would have been willing if we could have discussed all the arrangements beforehand. My work is pretty understanding but there are limits and rules about these things

Sierra’s aide meets us at the front door and takes her to class. Then walks her out to my car at the end of the day. I can’t do the pickup line though since she’s in a car seat.

Josie’s still in a car seat, too, but I can reach diagonally to unbuckle. It’ll be easy in the warmer weather. But extra annoying when coats and hats and all that other stuff needs to be put on at the last minute.

My mom is babysitting tonight so we got a kid free night while in STL! Went and met some friends for afternoon drinks at a bar, now headed to the casino. We still haven’t ate dinner, hopefully I can get some food at the casino. Then I have to get up early tomorrow to head over for my carpal tunnel surgery.

Have you had open house yet? At H’s school they all have assigned doors they go in, that we showed her last night. Then each door has lines painted on the ground with different shapes, H’s class is a circle, that they line up. I assume the teacher then leads them to their class from there.

Not yet. We go on Wednesday. I know it’ll be fine, but when I’m low information I love to imagine all the scenarios.

jewels sorry you had to take B to the ER. I hope he’s feeling a lot better after the fluids and meds. My children are driving me up the wall so I’m going to “clock out” for the night and let DH handle it. I have a headache and I’m crabby.

My child is being a beast. She keeps telling me she hates me and screaming. I'm legit not doing anything. So glad it's almost bedtime. She is however, allowing mh to do things for her. Guess I've been replaced. Haha
