I think they are ok with fertility treatments because they are all about the traditional family thing with a ton of kids, to boot.

Their dads bought their boob jobs, supposedly. I think they are ok with the parts of Mormonism that works for them. They’re not exactly wearing garments and dressing modestly. Although I think that’s a big part of why Rachel’s line has had success. Everything is “church” friendly.

In the first few years of blogging, Rach was still wearing her garments.  She definitely does not anymore, or rather, they all hang out in work out gear or swimwear b/c I guess that is exempt from having to wear garments.  lol

I was following Rachel for years but actually unfollowed because she was just too perfect and it was annoying me. Love her style and decor. Every now and then I'll stumble upon her and her sister's pages and spiral. It's a good waste of time haha.

YES!  All his siblings have left the church in recent years and drink which surprised me the most out of everything.  H's friends who I inherited also have gone through/are going through this as well.  I was never Mormon and came into the family completely naive about the religion.  

At least they are leaving the church though and not claiming the best of both worlds. I can stand it!! Living here is living in my own little hell. Especially having been brought up in it and not just witnessing it as an outsider. Are your H's parents still active?

For a long time some were living in both worlds and some are still not "out" to their families due to the backlash it would cause. H's mom was very much devoted to the church and moved to Utah and really, her life was church. She was probably the most devoted person I knew. I guess she started questioning her faith when she was dying of Leukemia. H's dad is still very much active, was a bishop, did the boy scout leader thing and basically everything required of him. H was brought up very strict Mormon and didn't even have television growing up. He also wasn't allowed to listen to mainstream music or watch any movies that were PG-13 and above. H's dad recently gave up lecturing the kids as far as I know but he has said he feels like he failed because no one goes to church any longer.

Things really took a turn when H's sister came out as transgender (male->female transition, so born male) and that really threw the family into chaos. She is no longer with us and she struggled with the lack of support from the most of the family. Since then some big bombshell news has been told to me in confidence about other people's secret lives or desires but it hasn't come out and if it did, I have no clue what that would do to the family. Anyway, so there's the run down.

They are watching The Bachelor(ette) too much, it is like a copy of what that show is all about. And so much fake smiles and pushing/pulling/kissing BF because he does not know what to do with himself. I could not watch it until the end, too much cringe.
