Anyone follow the Skalla sisters / Mormon Kardashians

I realize that we never talk bloggers or influencers around these parts.  I have been following Rachel Parcell (nee Skalla) or Pink Peonies for a looong time.  Her three sisters are also in the influencing game.  Every single part of them is stereotypical utah valley princess mormon white privileged on another planet.  French inspired McMansions, fake boobs, nose jobs, every designer bag you could imagine and an affinity for sugar and diet coke (all while being so skinny, without tryin').  It's beautiful entertainment.

I have taken an especially renewed interest in this clan since sister #3 broke off (or was dumped) engagement #2 (or was it actually considered courtship #2/engagement #1? Who can keep count).  Meg and Travis were engaged back in June and were set to marry on August 16th.  She and Travis sort of fell off the grid, a breakup became apparent and then POOF on Aug 15, she shows up on the internets engaged to #3 (#2?).  

Anyway, here is any of you want to dissect and speculate on anything Skalla sisters.

I have followed Rachel for awhile and was very much like WTF when I saw her stories about the engagement. I mean it's literally been 2 months since she posted about the last engagement! The way they presented it was so strange as well.

I just googled, having never heard of them, and then second hit said "calling THEMSELVES the Mormon Kardashians" and my eyes rolled right out of my head.

But I have a deep and abiding fascination with Utah Mormons so I'll be in this rabbit hole for a bit.

If you have truly never heard of them, you are in for a very large rabbit hole.  YUGE.  SO much material.  Tag me if you need clarification on anything.  I'm a superhaterfan.  More of a fan than hater tho.

I have been following Rachel for a while, then started following Emily and her very recent workout clothe line. I actually bought the yoga pants and top, and they are nice (though $$). I have a love/hate obsession with them too.

And then I fell into a very large rabbit hole on reddit when both older sisters commented on Meg’s broken engagement #1 early July.

I have been WTF about their non-chalant attitude about Meg 2nd engagement (in 2 months !). I mean yes you can do a mistake and broke your engagement but being engaged again BEFORE your supposed wedding date is just tacky.

People on reddit are saying that she has pressure from the Church to get married asap because she is 23, and already ‘old’. 🙄

Also, seems like she got both of her engagement rings from the same jewelry shop, in exchange for publicity from her sisters. Shop is tagged in her engagement pics and both Rachel and Emily did live ad showing off eternity rings last week.

Meanwhile, Travis still has pics of her on his IG, with her comments calling him ‘her love’ and a multitude of 💓💓💓

People are now speculating rather she is going to use the same wedding dress 😂 shop is the same and has already used engagement #2 as an ad. Oh the life of IG mormons influencers 😂

The new guy she is engaged to (Zach) was someone who she went on a double date with when she was still with previous fiancé (Travis).

And yes, 23 is an old maid. Most of these people get married while still in college.

When my (not LDS) parents lived near BYU, they knew a not insignificant number of people who got married out of high school or immediately following returning from their mission - so married at 17-20. 23 is basically scandalously old, and broken engagements start to sully one's perceived pristine Virginity.

ETA scandalous to a certain LDS sensibility that is found especially in Provo-area Mormons.

Yup, marriage early on. All of my BILs/SILs were married right after their missions or right out of HS. H was a misfit who did not go on a mission so no proper Mormon woman (girl?) wanted him. And then here I come corrupting his life with my non-Mormon self.

becausewhy, we are twins. My mother-in-law for years would respond to the question, "what would you like for Mother's Day this year?" with, "for you to join me in church that day." To which, her wish never did come true. I'm a Mormon though, inactive, but safer to say non-Mormon because my activity will never move in the direction of active. DH stopped going to church right after he was baptized at 8 so it's funny she never stopped asking him. She has since given up and she loves me, corruption and all. Now I'm just witnessing his entire family (and much of my extended family) being the best jack-Mormons they can be.

ripper, I must be living under a massive rock because I'm right here in Salt Lake and haven't heard of these guys. This will be a fun spiral sesh.

YES!  All his siblings have left the church in recent years and drink which surprised me the most out of everything.  H's friends who I inherited also have gone through/are going through this as well.  I was never Mormon and came into the family completely naive about the religion.

I was very surprised that Emily was so open about doing IVF for her twins and how Rachel discusses her infertility struggles for #3 and what method she is using. I would have guessed the Church did not allow infertility treatments.

I'm here for this, I follow them only as a hate follow. Rachel's clothing line is awful, I was shocked that her and Tan from queer eye were friends and now this scandalous engagement is fantastic!

I hate their fashion but do like some of their home stuff. I like their dorkiness, and feel that is their only selling point if that makes sense.
