Took Cadence to dc this morning. We made it out the door on time!!! Then, I was late to work because she decided she didn't want me to leave her at dc and that she needed to wrap herself around my body in a giant sloth hug and refuse to let me leave. I said, "Look, there's your friend J in the lego room. Go play with him....but keep your pants on!" She gave me a death glare for that one. LOL
So I pried her off my body and left her standing at the door. Really hoping her friend C showed up shortly afterwards so she would have someone to play with. Hopefully, she isn't getting sick or anything. She said she was just tired, so hopefully that was all.

I’m at M’s elementary school to pay for after school care. It’s the 1st day the teachers are back and no one is in the office. They didn’t give a time on the phone when they called to tell us to come on the 12th.
I’m slightly annoyed that they didn’t leave someone in the office.

Morning time. Just got in after my 34 week appt, which was so quick I didn't even have to pay for parking. My blood pressure is super low so need to hydrate at my desk today. My SIL suggested the beach in 2 weeks and the doc said she's pass, so that's an easy out, so hopefully they will just visit us.
N looked sickly but no fever,so she's a school...MOTY. Oh and her teacher made her a photobook of all the pictures she has taken of her over the year, which is a bit OTT, but super sweet. Helps that she is a photography major and takes great pix.
And the new bed is great! I'm pleased and the new mattress arrives tomorrow. My mom wants my old queen for my bedroom at home which now has a double,so now need to figure out logistics to get it there..

M is not excited about going to school. I think it’s normal and he will eventually fall back into the groove. It took two weeks or so when we started a new school last time. The teacher said he is fine once he gets in class, so I think it’s just being nervous about going in.
I’m overwhelmed with everyday home chores now. So much stuff to get done, but I have a list and as long as I check off a few things a day, I will try not to stress.

Hi! We spent the weekend at the beach/lake. Only 2 weeks left of day care for L! Is anyone worried about their kindergartener and the bus system? L will only do it 2x/week but i have this fear that he wont get off the bus one day. Will the bus driver know and direct him to get off? I'd be there at the stop but what if he somehow got off too early? #mondayanxiety Yep. I want M to start riding the bus home on the days I don’t work, but I’m not sure when I’m going to start him because of this very same anxiety about it. |

Hi ladies. Can I sneak back in?
It's been a while, eh? Three days into my vacation I stabbed my right hand with a kitchen knife, by accident of course. I havent been able to do much of everyday things, doing dishes, getting dressed has proven difficult, havent been able to bathe the kids to try and keep it clean, even putting my hair up brought me back to a time of a messy side pony...it was not a good look btw. Working last week was interesting, but it seems to be getting better and I can do most tasks again, thank goodness.
I hope everyone is well, I'm off to catch up..

Welcome back melaniesue and vino. Vino, I hope your hand heals quickly! Ouch! mamabear I think the bus anxiety is normal. I had it when I was thinking about putting E on it. I finally decided against it because the grandparents are able to drop her off and pick her up. I think my concern was more with her being 5 on the same bus as a senior in HS, and her shyness. I'm sure in a year or two, I'll put her on it though. My anxiety is now more, what if she doesn't make friends, pees her pants, picks her nose, eats lunch alone, all that stupid crap. I just want her to have fun and be happy, so it will be so hard with her there all day. The logical part of me knows she will fun, although be a shit for awhile during the adjustment to full day school. |

mwhip E will do great! Kinder teachers have an incredible gift of ensuring everyone gets along, feels confident and allows them to grow. It's amazing to watch and see them grow up and be so independent when school starts. and rest assured all the kids will pick their noses and be weird 5yo's together

mamabear, our bus has kindergartners sit in the first two rows of the bus and they must identify who's there to get them when they get off the bus.

Hey. DH went back to work this morning. I’m still sore, but feeling well enough to skip the prescription meds. Of course now starts the bleeding/period portion so I am having period cramps too. A friend dropped by this morning with her kids, she brought us pizza for supper and that was nice. I am going to take a nap with the girls as soon as they are done with lunch. My BFF is going to stop by later with ice cream and then tonight I have to work. vino I hope your hand is good as new ASAP. |

Are any of your kids talking about Halloween? Cadence asked me the other day if I had ordered her costume yet. Dude, lets start school first, then we'll think about Halloween. She wants to be a wolf. She says it is because wolves howl and its 'howloween'. Crazy kid.

klong11 my last payment is on Friday!!! I can’t wait! We just had a fire alarm go off randomly. I was happy about it bc I have no work to do. I need to make up some hours bc I’ll be coming in late for meet the teacher Friday morning. It’s hard to make up hours when you don’t have the work to keep you busy. So here I sit looking busy. Sucks to pop back in and then be super boring. Sorry guys!

So the day with my friend that I have been looking forward to isn’t happening. DD was sick miserable this morning and had a fever. She wanted to come home so I canceled my friend and packed up. As I was packing, I took a call from my insurance company about a bill they messed up and my freaking fire alarms went off at the beach house! I actually slept the last 3 nights without fear of the dam things and now the problem has followed me. Obviously, I now believe in ghosts and I guess I should just thank the ghost that it was 10 am and we were awake, not middle of the night. The baby kept pointing at the alarms he last few days and saying beep beep and I kept saying, no these aren’t going to beep. I will never have another good night sleep again.
