Are any of your kids talking about Halloween? Cadence asked me the other day if I had ordered her costume yet. Dude, lets start school first, then we'll think about Halloween. She wants to be a wolf. She says it is because wolves howl and its 'howloween'. Crazy kid. I love this idea. E isn't taking about his costume yet. I saw this picture of a potted vine costume and I kind of want E to do it. 3hrs until open house. Is getting real here! E spent most of the morning playing with playdoh pretty independently so it's been a nice relaxing day

I'm over here stressed about the first day of school in 2 days and some of you are planning Halloween costumes for 2 1/2 months away. I must be the worst organized person/mother ever.
I meant that mostly jokingly...I wouldn't take anything Evie suggested for Halloween remotely serious at this time. October 1st, yes. But girlfriend changes her mind too much for me to put any thought into it at this point.

I can always count on Costco to keep me planning for the next season. I went the other day and they have the costumes out already, back in July they had the snowsuits out which forced me to pull out all the kids stuff and see what we needed.

If Cadence sticks with the wolf, which it would be great if they did because I think rather than doing Halloween costumes the school does a book character parade. Cadence will be the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood, then the family costumes fall in to place, I'll be Red, the H can be the woodsman. Done.
She also keeps picking costumes at PetSmart for the cats.

It’s a pretty much weekly conversation over here and has been since last Halloween, but I won’t start really looking at anything until I put out the fall themed decorations so sometime around mid to late September |

Lo is going as Jack Skellington. I bought the costume last year. C is going as Oogie Boogie. E and I are going as something from nightmare but unsure.

Also hi. Same shit, different day. My parents will be flying up in about 2 weeks and staying in the general area for 3-4 weeks, so I plan to take a few random days off to spend with my Mom. I tend to isolate myself when I feel overwhelmed, and it couldn't be more true lately. I'm finding myself avoiding my parents and friends, it's like I've hit my limit on stimuli or something.
Chase has been hoarse on and off for 4-5 days now. No fever, very little noticable congestion, and his energy level has been fine. He SAYS he feels fine, he just thinks I'm funny, asking to look in his throat. It's been weird...

Went to k playdate and j and the girl he hit it off with last time paired off pretty quickly. They played tag with a group of boys and had a blast. I exchanged numbers with the parents and already invited us over for football afternoon screenings in their back yard. J was like, so she is going to be at my school? I'll see her everyday?? It was pretty adorable.
Our neighbor friend was there with her son, who has a preschool friend that was a total jerk..and not sure j and him will hit it off😣. His friend told that kid to karate chop me bc I wasn't spinning the spinner fast enough😳, at least he wasn't the instigator, but yikes.

peachsmama I don’t think that’s heat rash, I think that’s newborn acne I kinda thought that but it comes and goes through the day. Like when she wakes up its almost gone. But as she nurses it shows up and if she cries and she gets all red and hot it like explodes. |

Hi! We had a fun weekend camping. Ended up spending Saturday night at home since we had to come back to town for a party and it was rainy. We went back out Sunday morning for a bit at least to make up for it.
My best friend had her baby yesterday and i got to snuggle her this morning. So sweet! Now I’m getting really impatient for our baby.
Then today we had a golf event with my sister and bil and it was a lot of fun. I even won a great raffle prize. Hoping I’m not too sore tomorrow like I was after golfing last week.

Open house was chaos! After the teacher gave her talk we had to fill out paperwork and kids were running around crazy and people didn't know what was going on. I guess all the kids are comfortable there. I forgot to take pics because MH stood in the hall while I figured out the paperwork and what we were supposed to do. He was kind of an ass about the whole thing and doesn't really care to find out info like how he gets home or gets lunch

Or we can continue the hero vs billion theme and e can be Ariel and I’m Ursula or she can be Alice and I’m the red queen. |

I thought we could do a cute wolf costume, furry boots, gray leggings, furry gloves and ears, furry vest, maybe a gray or silver tutu. Nope. She wants head to toe fur and face makeup. I'll be ordering this costume and not making it at home this year.
