Thanks ladies! I’ve done all the things you mentioned and one of the seats is brand new so I wouldn’t think a defect. Maybe my expectation is too high and it is tight enough but it seemed to be moving Way more than an inch side to side so it didn’t seem right. Of course MH stopped at work last night and someone smashed the back bumper while it was parked ugh. We had 2 seats in there so I’m assuming they need to be replaced. I believe insurance covers it though right? I seem to recall someone saying it makes a difference whether the kids were in the car seat or not? Check with the insurance company either way. Which car seats? I think some seats are just harder to get a good install than others. But if you got it as tight as you could and have it checked by the car seat people to ease your mind. You may be right that it's just fine. They are diono and were nice and tight with the latch. It’s the belt system that is seeming impossible. Thanks for all the advice ladies! I appreciate it

I appreciate it That's really annoying. I was annoyed enough with my Cosco seat but I figured I got what I paid for, and I would be beyond just annoyed with a more expensive seat. Also, when you say it seems like it's moving more than 1" side to side, do you mean at the base or are you pushing at the top?

I know it says don’t go based on pushing or grabbing the top. MH and I tried it eleventy times last week. It’s the one in my in-laws car so at least it’s not our everyday driver.

I have a diono ranier and can only get it tight with the seat belt. I have to twist the female end of the buckle one full revolution so it doesn't catch on the seat. Maybe try that? I thought about trying this but my in-laws car belt did not allow me to twist the buckle like they indicate. I have decided to just bring it to the fire station and have them try it...
