It’s nutty how fast time flies.
I’m waiting for the pediatrician to open so I can bring the baby in. She still has a fever. Other than being whiny though she doesn’t have many symptoms.

Mastitis started yesterday and I feel like I'm dying this morning. Waiting for my OB to open so they can call on antibiotics.
We had a good weekend. The party was nice. The cake was amazing. Everyone was so generous.
We have his well check, first dentist appt, and pulmonologist today. The one year appointment is the hardest for shots for me at work. I can't remember how our pediatrician administers them. You can do them all at 1 year or do some at 15 months and 18 months.

This summer has been crazy busy. I can't believe we're halfway done. It feels like summer will be over before we know it! Then it's off to kindergarten for DS 😭

My sinuses are full of gunk so that's awesome. Every time the baby picks something up MH and I both end up with it as well. I used to think I had a good immune system. 😭 or maybe just anything I inhale goes straight to my sinuses lol.

Well shoot. Dd has the flu. In July. I wasn't expecting that! Poor girl. I hope you can bring the fever down to help her feel more comfortable.

Oh man kam3100. I hope the rest of you don't get it. Did they give her Tamiflu?

Ugh.... I tried making potato salad for dinner tonight using vinegar. It was so bad. Even H couldn't eat it.

Vent alert: The most important thing to do with the baby is keep her hydrated. I told dh this. I get home and he hasn’t given her any bottles ‘ because she doesn’t want it’ so I make one of the bottles and she guzzles it down. I’m so mad. So mad.

DD had it in her a little over 12 hours after her fever started and she had a really mild case. Like fever started Thursday night, meds Friday around noon, and was fever free sometime on Saturday afternoon.
Apparently it tastes bad though. The rest of us got a dose to keep from getting it and both kids fought it so hard.
I hope it works for her too.

I'm nursing Charlie to sleep thinking about how nervous and anxious I was for him to arrive last year at this time. And all the wondering about what his personality and looks would be like.

DH was at a business dinner last night and I struggled so much with the kids. They weren't even being bad, it was just a bunch of little things that really grated on my nerves and I didn't handle it well. The two year old was being mean (pulling hair, sitting on his big brother) so I finally just said it was time for lights out with no bedtime stories. DS1 sobbed and sobbed. I felt bad but I just needed a break.
Unfortunately, I let my feelings carry over into this morning and was very short with them. Ugh. DH is in Europe Saturday-Thursday next week and then we leave on a long weekend getaway Friday. I don't know how I'm going to handle caring for the kids, working, and getting us packed next week.
I wish last night had gone better so I had confidence I can do it.

ohreally I have had similar days/nights like the one that you had. Sometimes moms just need a little bit recharge alone time. Can you spend some time this weekend prepping for the week and long weekend to help relieve some of the stress? Any teens who could be a mother's helper for a few hours?

My oldest starts kindergarten two weeks from tomorrow and I’m totally not ready. Mine starts in a month. How are they already so grown up?!?! She's equal parts so excited (mostly to be a "big kid") and completely nervous, since very few of her preschool friends will go to her same elementary.

It's Charlie's birthday! We took the kids to the Tumble Gym this morning to do some "special." No other plans. H has work stuff tonight so I'm solo. It happens ohreally. I will probably be posting something by tonight. I've caught myself losing my cool with DD more than I should lately.

I still had 102.5 fever this morning so I'm home from work today. I've taken two doses of antibiotic in, but so far I still feel awful. I really hope I don't have to call in tomorrow too.
Pulmonologist and PCP both said that we could let Z CIO so that's happening as soon as I don't have to worry about completely emptying my breast.

Well shoot. Dd has the flu. In July. Oh no! FYI tamiflu made my kid crazy. He wouldn't sleep or eat, he basically just screamed. Hopefully you have better luck with it than we did. I hope she feels better soon.

I hope she feels better soon. She threw up after her first dose but today’s dose she didn’t. She has just been asleep almost all day. It has me nervous. Dh is taking her for the ‘afternoon shift’ so I can work but we are keeping an eye on wet diapers because she is it nursing her drinking like she should. So stressful. I sure hope you’re on the mend soon.

(PS...I am honestly just wondering. I believe in it 100%). And how did it go with the shots yesterday
