I still had 102.5 fever this morning so I'm home from work today. I've taken two doses of antibiotic in, but so far I still feel awful. I really hope I don't have to call in tomorrow too. Pulmonologist and PCP both said that we could let Z CIO so that's happening as soon as I don't have to worry about completely emptying my breast. Are you ready to do CIO? (PS...I am honestly just wondering. I believe in it 100%). And how did it go with the shots yesterday I'm ready to sleep.... Shots were fine. They split them up so only hep a, pcv13, and mmr. He cried for less than a minute and they didn't seem to bother him at all.

PennyCandy I hope he gets the hang of CIO quickly and I'm so glad his doctors gave the go ahead for it!

ohreally I have had similar days/nights like the one that you had. Sometimes moms just need a little bit recharge alone time. Can you spend some time this weekend prepping for the week and long weekend to help relieve some of the stress? Any teens who could be a mother's helper for a few hours? I’m going to try to prep as much as I can this weekend. I hope to distract the kids from bugging to play outside or go out to eat by having them help pack and meal prep. We’ll see how it goes.

My temp is down to 100 this morning. I still feel pretty yucky and my poor boob looks sunburnt. It's so painful. Since the fever is down I'm trying to decide if I should give it until tomorrow to call the doctor.
I have to work today. I'm the only nurse scheduled and despite my coworkers telling her she should have backup ready just in case, my supervisor didn't do it. They would be screwed if I didn't come in.

I tried this last night when I was trying to prep for our house to be fumigated. DD kept complaining that it was boring. No kidding! Then you're welcome to try to keep your brother entertained/contained, instead of helping!

PennyCandy , ugh, i'm sorry, mastitis is so awful. it can take the redness a while to go away. if the fever is down i'm sure the antibiotic is working. you should be home resting, though. could you leave early?

Work has been nuts this week so I haven't been around much. I'm so done with this week. A terrible storm came through Monday afternoon. My H was out of town and I had a lot going on at work so I wasn’t able to leave at usual pick up time. There was thunder rumbling non-stop for a good 10-15 minutes and I was rushing trying to finish up but I didn’t make it before it started raining.
I brought an umbrella but it didn’t help at all. I got absolutely soaked getting the kids in the vehicle. My shoes were filling with water, and I looked like a took a shower in my clothes. It also looked like I threw buckets of water in my vehicle. I soaked an inch and a half of water out of my cup holder when I got home and wiped down the interior of the vehicle. So that’s how this week is going. Then yesterday the baby threw up her milk all over me right before bedtime. My pants, arm/hand, and the book I was reading her were all soaked. All done.

kam3100 could it be a reaction to the meds? I'd probably call the doctor to let them know

kam3100 might be a reaction to the tamiflu. Or some kind of a rash in response to the fever. I would call the doctor just to check.

kam3100, my guess is also that it's from the virus. my kids have had that before towards the end of a viral illness. it's pink spots and they're not raised or itchy.

Here’s a pic. It’s a little on her face too. I’m guessing a viral rash too because it’s not like hives. But it just looks sad.

The rash seems a lot better but she is sleeping sooo much. She went to daycare today and her first nap was three hours and her second nap was two hours. She drank about a total of 4 ounces of formula. I can’t get her to nurse to take a bottle. Poor baby.

Evidently I have to vent to you and she drinks a bottle. This happened to me when I said DD2 wasn't eating as much for breakfast. Then the next day she had scrambled eggs, a clementine and some toast. 🙄 I'm glad she took the bottle.

Evidently I have to vent to you and she drinks a bottle. Charlie's appetite, even nursing, goes to crap when he's sick. We add Pedialyte to his cup to aid with hydration. Hopefully you're nearing the end of this.
