Weekend wake up!

I’m freaking out big time!!! We’re leaving for the states tomorrow. What was I thinking taking the kids on a 5 week camping trip on the other side of the world?! Anecdotes about your kids doing amazing on long flights are welcome 😉!

No experience with long flights nam2013 but I think it’s so amazing you are giving your kids this experience. How long is the flight? Is it 1 direct flight?

I got up at 6:30 and walked/jogged 3.4 miles so that's done for the day. No idea what else we are doing this weekend. We need to get all our trash in the dumpster before they come to pick it up Monday. There is a Touch a Truck event this morning but evie doesn't know if she wants to go. H seems to he in a mood already.

About 8 hours and yes a direct flight. I’m most worried about food and ds. I have a ridiculous amount of food that I know he eats with me in my carry on.

Good morning! Got my run out of the way despite not being in the mood and we've got cartoons on the TV while DH makes comments about going to the gym. He needs to go soon if he's really going because Col has soccer at noon, we need to get to the library, I was hoping to get Col to the pool today or to ride his bike, and DH wants to take the kids to a double header of the local(ish) college summer baseball league.

Anyhow we'll see how it goes, the kids were both alternating between crying and hysterically laughing at breakfast, so they're definitely our wild cards.

I took both kids on a 3 hour flight and they did well. Just make sure they are drinking something at takeoff and landing. Lots of snacks and distractions and you’ll be fine.

Sierra had another rough night with seizures last night. Started at the same time as the day before 🤔. Then today her balance and walking are waaay off. And she just wanted to snuggle, it made it hard to leave her at the babysitter.

And I just saw on FB that one of my former preschoolers is getting married today...feeling really old now.

Took both boys to the library to try to motivate DH. They are having a blast but Chase has no concept of an inside voice. Preschool cannot come soon enough!

One of my good friends is coming to visit soon. She sent a case of diapers yesterday- which was perfect timing because MJ outgrew newborn diapers, literally over night. She wet through twice, put her in a size 1 at 4am and problem solved.

My mom just left with the boys. I'm going to enjoy the quiet.. they are so wild and hyper since we got home from the hospital. I know it's a huge adjustment for them but it puts me on edge and I feel bad for snapping at them.

Very fwp ahead. I just said goodbye to my parents. I haven’t been away from them for this long since I was 19 or so. My mom is a mess and I was worried about ds being emotional, I forgot that it’s me he’s got it from for a second...

I was up late submitting final projects for my one class and both had been graded by the time I woke up at 8, and got 100 on both, somehow..but I'll take it!

Lounging around and walked the kids to a yard sale in the neighborhood, now cooling off. Going to attempt the pool this afternoon, not sure I'm feeling bathing suit ready, but prob should find out if my bathing suits even fit me at this point before we go to the beach next week.

Just left Hallmark for their Ornament event. E came with me because C had a late night at work. One of the ladies i see at each event bought E a toy. Now I’m in line for Krispy Kreme for donuts.

Today I’m cleaning and doing massive amounts of laundry. They fixed most of the drywall yesterday so everything is dusty. We’re going to my SIL’s house after H’s nap today. Hopefully MH will take the kids in the pool so I can snuggle the baby.

We had a very late night yesterday. My SIL/BIL and niece came in for an overnight visit. We’re headed to the children’s museum now to meet a college friend of hers and so the kids can play. We’re expecting rain for most of the afternoon, so this is the outing of the day.

ETA We’ll be heading towards the landmarks, museum and the zoo. I’ll stay in touch, maybe we can figure something out .

Morning! We had a cat door installed in our bedroom this week so we can finally keep the door closed at night, and I find it hysterical to watch him gather up the courage to go through it to get out. It’s also a very Kramer-esque entry when he comes in.

Probably early August we’ll be heading towards lubec/Bar Harbor .
