C started camp yesterday and is so exhausted. They do so much during the day and he is thrilled. One of the things they do every day is cook together. Tonight he asked me if we could make a cake tonight. I said no, we don’t have time but can this weekend after I can pick up the ingredients. He was aghast that I don’t just have cake ingredients lying around and told me what they what they were to confirm. Dude, I’m not a from scratch kind of mom. Be happy to get a box mix and not a pre-made.

Morning. I stayed up too late again...I did pass glucose test, so that was a relief. We tried banza pasta from Costco that is made from chickpeas, and it was pretty tasty! Def recommend if want to up fiber and protein (and is gf/vegan). What are people's thoughts on shorter curtains? I can't see any pictures of rooms styled with them, and yet Pottery Barn kids sells 63" length ones. I love how long ones look, but we don't really have a ton of space in the kids rooms and need furniture under the windows. We have curtain rods installed so I'm inclined to use them rather than take them down patch/paint. Currently we have long ones in the shared room that go behind the changing table/bookshelf and looks like a hot mess since they are too long and beige in a grey room -aka super ugly. Have not read ahead but all my kids have shorter curtains in their rooms. I don't love the look but I have the fear they'll somehow strengle themselves or something. |

I was looking at her shop! They look awesome, but major decisions on what to pick! I have what appear to be hand made Roman shades in the windows now, but they are not light blocking at all. I'll keep you all posted if I ever decide anything! EtA: not sure why I use an exclamation mark for any of those sentences 🤦 |

Hi all!
Currently sitting in the upstairs bedroom with the kids while they attempt to fall asleep. Considering it’s over 2 hours past their bedtime, one would think this wouldn’t be a long wait but they were so wound up 🤪
Long day but lots of fun. The kids fished this afternoon, we had a nice dinner of grilled swordfish, went into town for ice cream, and my dad did a fire by the lake afterwards with s’mores and sparklers. Tmrw we have a walk and lunch out (lobster rolls) planned. We joke that this is Camp (my dad’s name) bc he keeps the kids so busy 🙌🏻

wedding I’m sorry. That is kind of unacceptable. I get emergencies and all, but damn, three cancellations on her behalf. Not cool. klong11 Sounds like they need to tighten up on the way they communicate and do business. One more month and they are someone else’s problem.

wedding I agree with lahdeedah, 3 in a row is not professional and really frustrating. And this is a serious appt, it’s not something frivolous. Anywho, don’t blame you for being irritated.

This is Bob, the sad eyed cat we saw yesterday. I just want to snuggle him. 😿 I don’t know if it’s shadowing, but his face looks funny. I forget the condition and I’ve only seen it in dogs but it’s an autoimmune thing that causes the face to be a bit concave or bony in some areas and it makes the eyes appear that way. I wonder if he has something that is making those eyes. Also he’s a chunka! How many cats are you up to these days? I’m having some weird guilt about loving the baby since I’ve been so adamant against kittens previously. Mom is great but we haven’t bonded yet and she’s not a lap cat. But Marty and I are officially bffs. |

He is in the new Charlie's Angels movie that is coming out. Also, according to imdb, he's going to be playing He-Man in a movie in 2021.

OMG I'm laffing at Noah harnessing The Power of Greyskull. Did anyone see the 80s live action movie of He-Man? It was something else. I don't remember much of it, but some movie I used to watch repeatedly on VHS that we recorded from HBO (I think it was Flight of the Navigator) had a preview of He-Man before it so I saw it so many times. Much cheese. Did laugh.
