tallb I really only like short curtains when there is a window seat/built-ins underneath, or maybe in a kitchen window or something. If you don’t want long drapes you could always do a Roman shade. I typically like inside mount but outside mount would conceal any old holes, etc. from previous hardware. lahdeedah I love sea salt—used it in my last laundry room. My sister’s MIL just used it throughout her entry hall/great room/kitchen at their new house and it is gorgeous 😍😍 Definitely has me thinking about it for our next stop! Great to hear! I read a few designer blogs that said it was a nice neutral and decided to sample it in the bathroom. Not sure about whole house, but if I love it a lot, I may bring it into a bedroom. It’s the color of my master bath and I like it a lot!

My uncle has a rat tail, always braided and goes about halfway down his back.... it's really a shame he wasn't born female. He has beautiful black ringlets curls. I would cut that off while he was napping. But, cut it crooked so it looks like he did it himself!

Morning! We are just hanging around home this morning. Actually, I might make the girls go to Lowe’s which they’ll hate. I’m trying to narrow down paint color so we can paint our house. This is the most recent sample I bought but I’m concerned it doesn’t contrast the stone enough. (It’s painted along the right side) This afternoon we are going swimming with friends. I like the color. Would you consider doing a griege since you don’t want to go dark for contrast? I would be open to that tone as long as it’s not too beige. I got 2 more, darker samples that are on and drying right now.

I know, the Roman shade is probably the best bet in this situation. I like the PBK ones a lot but the sizes aren't right for an inside mount, which I prefer as well. I am not sure I like the cellular look, which is another common option. The current rods are high and wide so I'd have to patch/paint regardless I think.. Yeah the PB Romans are attractive but the sizes have never worked for me, either😒 My sister is doing PB drapes in her family room and we decided on matching Romans for the kitchen but of course they didn’t offer the right size. So she bought extra panels and is having them made by an Etsy vendor. It was actually pretty reasonable! Just a thought—a lot of them stock fabric, too, or you can send your own choice.

I loved your old/current house color trtlcrzy! Just ready for a change? I like it a lot still, but so many of my neighbors have painted their houses similar colors or dark colors so I decided to switch it up. It is fading on the front of the house so it needs to be repainted anyways.

Ok. First picture is the original color I tried on top, and the medium color on the bottom. Second picture is the darker color on the bottom

Hi all, another day in paradise over here. I only have a 3 day week since DH and I are headed to Chicago to celebrate our anniversary for the long weekend. Unfortunately he's been kind of annoying me lately, so the timing isn't ideal. He was just so negative about the boys making vacation so stressful then didn't really DO anything all weekend. And now he's stressing me out about money again and we're going to need to sit down and talk about that again. And generally he doesn't take anything I say to heart until a few days later, when it finally starts to sinks in. So the timing is not ideal but neither is potentially biting his head off about something minor and him having no idea why. Freaking marriage, man...
Chase was super lethargic this morning, and he's just not a good enough communicator to let me know if he just didn't sleep well or if he wasn't feeling well. I wish work wasn't so nuts, I would've been happy to just take the day with him. Boo. Colin started camp yesterday - they have 3 field trips a week and he's already got his little group of boys to hang out with - so he's loving life. It makes getting HIM out of bed easier.
In other news, I had my appointment with a specialist to talk through my mammogram results. At my secondary scan and U/S, they didn't really say anything except that I did have dense tissue and calcification like the first tests indicated and I needed to come back in 6 months. None of the techs offered any explanations and I never saw a doctor. So this specialist sat down explained that the density is a non-issue and that they'll have me back to monitor the calcification every 6 months for 2 years, but that there's absolutely nothing concerning in my films to her. I hadn't really been conscious of any stress over it, but I sure felt massively relieved when I walked out of there.

joelies that's stressful about your mammogram. Did you have a regular mammo or the 3D? I think the 3D is supposed to detect abnormalities easier in dense tissue.

I really would love to get a sewing machine and at least learn to do basics (drapery panels, bedskirts, etc). I understand the construction of them, I would just have no idea how to even turn a machine on 🤦🏻♀️

trtlcrzy first, I love your pots with the flags and the peek of daylilies(?) in the background! I like the intensity of the deeper shades vs the first one you showed us. More contrast. I think my favorite is the lower one in pic #2 bc it’s a bit warmer, followed by the lower one in pic #1.

Right now I think I’m leaving more towards the bottom color in the first pic. But I keep looking at it and can’t make up my mind. Picking paint is the worst.

Hi. tallb We have 63" in my room and I like how they look. I can snap a pic of you like. Just simple white waffle weave. I tried longer, but they looked weird on my short windows. peachsmama when are you due again? Exciting! trtlcrzy I like the second pic, bottom left of the last photos you shared. It's richer and warmer and compliments the brick nicely.

Afternoon Ladies! Just over here replacing all my tank tops via the ON website. Is it just me, or do you guys feel the need to buy a whole new wardrobe for a vacation? I don't know why, but I never want to bring my old clothes to a new place.
I'm laying low after a busy morning of working out and running errands before a busy evening of therapy and picking up my kid at the airport. He was supposed to be with his dad for two through the 7th, but I guess they are sick of each other already 😂

I wish I could watch the last three episodes today; but I expect Mh home with the boys at any minute.
Ok carry on...

I love when friends with kids visit but I really love when friends without kids do. I’m having cheese and tequila while my friend takes care of my kids.

Work has been so insane since returning. And today I left at 2 for therapy and five mins away they called and cancelled because she had an emergency. This is the third time in a row she’s cancelled. One was sick kid and the last one was also an emergency. I had a bit of attitude about it and then was told she’s really sick and headed to the hospital 😐 So I feel a little bad. But I also need to chat with someone consistently and I really like her. So frustrating. I did get to come home and hang with the cats for a bit before karate. I just have to work a full day tomorrow just to get through my emails from vacation. I knew July would be hectic but yikes and it’s only the 2nd!
Anyway I haven’t read Monday but will try to now.

Im irritated. DC was trying to charge me the full rate even though Cadence is out all week. I emailed them and was like, hey I noticed you have the wrong rate on my statement. Cadence isn't there this week, so it should be half rate. They emailed me saying they didn't know Cadence would be out all week. The fuq you say?? I've got receipts, bitch! I emailed them TWICE, messaged them in their app AND told the dude in person. No one responded to my emails or app message, so I told dude in person. He couldn't care less when I told him, so whatever. And yes, I responded with dates and times. So they were like, ok we'll change it in the system, but we'll still charge the weekly activity fee. What activities? I took balls and jump ropes they asked for for fitness week last week and Cadence said they never touched them and didn't do any activities like that, so I would love to know what activities they are doing other than movie watching, tablet watching, and coloring on printed sheets.
I'm so ready for August. She will not be returning. The lack of communication with this office staff is ridiculous.
