Is it too young to start night terrors? The last couple of nights the baby has been waking up screaming and last night I had to rock him but he just looks up at you and stares. I finally got him to settle by turning on a music box but’s it odd to me. I want to say that I read somewhere that this age is peak for night terrors. I could be way off base though. We have some episodes like that every couple of weeks.

Is there an 18 month separation anxiety? DD has been going to daycare since March. She adjusted quickly, but the last few weeks has started melting down again on Monday mornings, but this week has been every morning. She settles pretty quickly once I leave, but it's meltdown city until I leave the building. I've perfected the dump and run, but it still bothers me that maybe I'm missing something.

I finally got him to settle by turning on a music box but’s it odd to me. I was looking at the Wonder Weeks app the other day and it said they could be having bad dreams by now. Not sure about night terrors. We dealt with that some with DS but not until later, always due to him being over-tired. Does yours keep screaming when you go in? Not respond to you at all, almost like he is looking through you? (ignore my questions if you know all about terrors already....) It was super creepy for us when it happened. I hope that is not it for you guys!!

We spend a lot of time outside on the weekends. Like from sun ip to sundown some days with the exception of meal time/nap time. He usually looks to go outside as soon as he’s awake. Daycare takes him out multiple times a day. But we also know that come November to April outside time could be limited by the weather. same here, without the Nov-Apr limitations. These days with 110* heat index is rough on us but we are trying to get out some before 9am and after 7pm. And water play. so much water play.

Speaking of going outside. The baby has started letting me know when he wants to go out and play by grabbing his shoes and trying to put them on. He throws quite the tantrum when I tell him we aren’t going out. Lol

Yay for walking sarahh! A random question for you ladies...how much time does your LO spend outside? I worry I'm not taking DS out enough. We do take him on walks everyday in his stroller and he plays in the driveway or backyard for maybe 20 minutes each day. Our yard is small and close to the road so it's stressful having him out there much longer because he runs so much! We do take him to parks on the weekends, the zoo, etc. But it's so nice out and I feel bad about how much time we spend indoors! It's a bazillion degrees here, so our outside time has suffered greatly. I am too pregnant to tolerate the heat. DH is really good about taking the kids out to play in the sprinkler, splash table, or wading pool. When the weather is tolerable we try to spend 3+ hours outside every day. It's such a great way to tire the kids out!!

The Italian ice place near me has no sugar added ices. They are pretty low in Ww points. This is not good for my budget. 😂

Hi friends! Life has been crazy.... little one has a new word almost daily. Big kid had preschool camp this week and starts swimming lessons Monday.
My MIL is giving us our first kid-free weekend since 2015. DH wants to stay home and work on house projects. Since I work from home I said hell no to that. I plan to head to Minneapolis to see my cousin and told him he can join me if he'd like to.
In other news, I emailed my dr today. The past two weeks I've just felt overwhelmed/on edge/minorly anxious almost every other day. Not sure if I'm needing more med or if it's situational since I'm overwhelmed with work. We will see what she says Monday.

We don't have Italian ice stores around here so that's what I usually eat. I'm obsessed with their lemon and cherry flavors and they are pretty low calorie! I discovered them in the hospital after delivering one of my kids and now I'm obsessed.

I can about 10 different flavors for my 3pts. The Luigi’s ones are actually lower in pts I think but I don’t care. Lol

jessijean Liked for the kid free weekend. I'm sorry that you're feeling on edge, but I'm glad you reached out to your doctor again. I hope that she can help you get sorted.

My ils bought me a ninja foodi for Christmas. It was back ordered and took forever to come in. Then instead of shipping it here they waited for my sil to go to Florida where they live and pick it.
This thing is awesome. I am currently air frying some chicken.

Work is chaos at best. The kids are definitely keeping me on my toes too. We’re trying to figure out if Ds2 has some food allergies. It seems like every time he has watermelon or something with eggs that aren’t like baked into the food he has diaper issues. He’s also back to wheezing and grabbing ears. Combining that with his low weight gain we’re just beginning to wonder if we’ve missed something

I haven’t noticed a problem with any other foods so not quite your situation but I just thought you should know that you are not the only one dealing with a watermelon problem.

Well the boys are day 3 (I think?) on antibiotics and last night DH started looking like death warmed over. He was burning up this morning and actually asked me to drive him to the dr because he didn't think it was safe for him to drive. Positive for strep. I'm just praying I escape allll of this crap.

easternshoregirl, haha. There are child locks on the cabinets. For some reason they don't even try to get in there. Probably because most of their toys are in the lower level so we don't spend much time up there other than for meals.

thunderenterprise, every time I see pics of your little girl, it reminds me of our Viv. Do either you or your husband have any Asian background in your families? (My husband is 1/2 Korean and I feel like a lot of her looks comes from him.)

So I don’t know what to do. Ds2 had 1 loose poop Monday and Tuesday, yesterday he had diarrhea twice and today it was solid then back loose after dinner. He’s playing/eating fine but I know he’s cutting a molar and keeps grabbing his ear. Daycare says no one else has shown any symptoms and believe it’s related to the molar. She has even said he can kee coming. But part of me wonders if I should call the pediatrician because I would hate for him to have something contagious and spread it.

Little man had his 18m well check today (almost a month late. Oops) He got three vaccines but the dr said he won’t need more vaccines besides the flu shot until he is 4. 👍🏻
