I'm house bound all day after dropping my kids at the sitters. The plumber is coming to put out door hose attachments on my house. Part of the builders knock out list because my failure of a project manager forgot. Didnt even have them plumb for them.. so he'll likely be here all day.

Ds’ school is closed for the day. So I took the kids to a nearby lake early in the morning to get rid some energy before the heat is overwhelming. It was nice. Swim class in a little bit. Aside staying still to endure the heat, not much else on the agenda.

@winealthetime did your BIL get trough the night okay? He did! He has surgery this morning for his wrist, but CT shows no additional brain bleeds or anything which is great. He thinks it's 1999, but answered some questions correctly. Thanks for asking! |

That's hopeful news wineallthetime! My desk is a mess, I need to get some work done today. But I seriously contemplated calling in sick today. Not because I don't feel good, just because I want a day to myself. But here I sit. |

Morning. Kids have vacation bible school 9-noon this week. Which means 3 hours alone every day! Hopefully they like it because I might sign them up for another one in August that is 9-2. I confess I’m doing this mostly for my sanity. Lol.

Morning! Week 2 of swimming lessons here, but the highs this week are in the 80s and 90s which should be much more pleasant for the girls. Not sure what the rest of the day will hold.

Morning! Today is the last day in Oklahoma. E and I fly back tomorrow. I’m unsure if LO should stay or not. His cousins that will be here are not very nice and I don’t want LO picking up bad habits.

Morning!
I feel so groggy this morning, I feel like I'm moving at half-speed.
We made blueberry muffins for breakfast and B has speech after lunch and then his swim lesson tonight, but otherwise not much on the agenda. We leave for Maine a week from tomorrow so I probably need to start thinking about packing for that.

nam2013 That does seem warm for your area. Do most/any homes there have air conditioning? Up in Maine, the majority of homes and even a lot of businesses do not have it. When there's a heat wave, we always seek out restaurants with AC and go to the movies, lol. Thankfully my parents do have window units for the bedrooms so everyone can be comfortable at night! Hope the heat breaks soon!

I’m unwinding from a busy but fun couple of days. I have to grocery shop when C wakes up and the big kids have a 1/2 day. Lots to do in this short week. Tonight I’m bringing pizza and cake to the end of DD’s gymnastics practice for her birthday. I have to fill out cards for every teacher in DD’s school and run the end of year party on Thursday then I’m officially done with my PTO job. I need gifts for DD and DS’s teacher. I also need to go to my old school one afternoon and go through some stuff I have stored in a friend’s room and label it to be transported to my new school. Friday we leave for 11 days at the beach because DH took off and gymnastics is closed. We have 4 different sets of friends coming over that time so it will be fun.

At work loading up on coffee. We had a tornado warning at 345 am and my phone went nuts so I was up for a good hour making sure we were in the clear. The weather is supposed to be nasty all day. Hoping to get to the gym after work.

flamingo it is exceptionally warm & no most houses/school/businesses/daycares etc. don’t have air conditioning, it’s a nightmare. The heat should break Wednesday 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

Morning! We had a super busy weekend. My inlaws were in town, but I also double booked myself b/c I went to Old Timer's day at Yankee Stadium w/ my dad. Such a fun day, they bring out all the old players, some who even played in the 40s and 50s, along with the recent retirees. It's something both my dad and I have always wanted to do, and my dad is a lifelong yankees fan at almost 80. (Sorry nam2013!) The yankees lost their game but we had a great time. I was exhausted as it was 85 degrees and our seats were in the sun. Plus I left my house at 9:15 and didn't get home till after 7! |

Morning all.
I had grand plans of heading to the gym this morning at 4.30 but B and J took their turns sabotaging me last night, which is very unlike them so I didnt end up going. I might try and go this evening, even if it's just some cardio, it's better than sitting and eating snacks.
My Mom came over yesterday early afternoon, helped me plant some flowers, and we ordered in food for her birthday. She's turning 65 on Wednesday and has booked a trip to Germany for a passion play tour of some sort for June 2020; I did some sleuthing and found the travel agent and as a surprise paid off half the remaining balance, she was so surprised and cried her way through disbelief, it was so cute. I love finding the perfect gift.

Hi girls! I missed everyone.
I’m sure there’s a lot I missed. I can’t wait to tell everyone all about the trip. I’m probably going to start a separate thread so I can add my millions of pics.
So happy to be home! Pete held down the fort really well and the kids are so happy to have me back.
Also, my mom got engaged. To my ex-stepdad. Yeah, they’re getting married again on the 4th of July. They seem really happy and have been on and off since they divorced twelve years ago so it’s really not a surprise to anyone.
