So today we went on a wild goose chase to find train postcards for L! No luck. All the train museums near us are closed till Saturday. But in happy news, I'm drinking wine and I picked up the pattern to L's baby blanket(I lost the previous copy in the house somewhere), and I figured out where I am so I don't have to start over and now I can drink wine and knit!
Dh is playing with trains on the master track up stairs (not special just the battery operated Thomas train tracks) and seems to be in a better mood from this morning.

Next week is our 10 year anniversary. Years ago we decided that we'd go to Hawaii for 10 years but obviously that wasn't going to happen. So I asked H what we were going to do instead. I'd at least like to go out to a nice dinner next week and maybe do a weekend trip later. I spent over an hour looking up nice restaurants in the area last night when he turns to me and shows me a FB post from a local brewery and he says "maybe we can go there". Dude. Seriously? I can't drink and their menu is mostly sandwiches.

Let me know if I need to fly over there and give him a swift kick in the ass.

I was hoping he would take the initiative to plan something but now I'm sure I'd be disappointed. The places I'm looking at are downtown and I can guarantee he will complain about driving there during rush hour.

Same. I'd really like to try the roasted carrots, butter braised radishes, roasted cauliflower and mushroom barley orzotto at Republic but not for an anniversary dinner.

That reminds me that I'm meeting a friend for dinner on Wednesday. I'm excited to look at menus next week.

Hopefully now that you explained what you want he gets on the right track lol Ours is next month. We had planned to go down south in the winter with friends of ours (would be a few months after our 10 year and a few months before their 10 year). The friends are getting divorced and after our family trip this summer we need to save for a bigger house..... So nice restaurant it is.

Their chef tasting is what had me interested. Otherwise I agree. Parc was my top choice! The other place I had on there just because they almost won the James Beard but their menu wasn't my favorite.

Their menu does look good. It's just I like the other 2 places better.

Happy Friday! I set up a play date tomorrow at the splash pad w/ a kid in Os class. Then I got anxiety about it lol but it was my turn to initiate. I complain about not having many mom friends but then I don’t do anything about it. So I’m trying to be better. I like this other mom from his class but we will probably have to say “Hi” at pick up/drop off 10 more times before we can get a play date going. I was *bold* and friended her on FB. Harder than dating...

Most of my friends with kids live all spread out over SoCal, so we're talking at least a half hour drive one direction or another to meet in the middle. Not at all conducive to regular play dates.

Harder than dating... it is so hard. I’m hoping it gets easier as they get older because they can start requesting play dates with certain kids at school and then maybe a friendship will happen naturally between us moms? Wishful thinking maybe. I’ve started hanging out with a mom from a kid in B’s Class. It helps that she takes a lot of initiative and really engages in conversation with you. We started off doing play dates in super public places so I didn’t feel the need to just stand there and have awkward conversations with her because I literally had to follow my kids around. That seemed to help.

Also, I cut a red onion today for lunch and I cannot get the smell off my hands. It never lingers this long. Ugh.

The nurse for infectious disease called. They're still waiting on one of the test results but everything else came back normal. His IgM level is low but the immunologist will have to go over that with me since it's a test he wanted done. A google search says it could be selective IgM deficiency. It does sound like H but I didn't go to med school.
Selective IgM deficiency (SIgMD) is a rare immune disorder in which a person has no immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies, or too little IgM, with normal levels of IgG and IgA antibodies.[1][2] IgM is the first antibody the immune system makes to fight a new infection.[3] Therefore, when a person does not have enough IgM, the body may have difficulty fighting infections. SIgMD can occur in infants, children, or adults.[1]
She's going to talk to my ENT but she's suggesting tubes and will request cultures done at that time as well.

What's everyone doing this weekend? Are we moving over to that 5 and under on a different board?
We went swimming this morning. DH is getting all his last minute house stuff done before heading back to work. Lawn mowing, changing the screen in the sliding screen door, changing the brakes on the car.
Any Father's Day plans to show them how it's done? Or plans to only do for FIL?

I'm working this weekend as usual. H is doing so good with potty training. No accidents today.
I'm posting on the 5 and under board, but definitely not moving.
DH is offshore so no plans for Father's Day. I did buy him a box of his favorite teas (despite the Mother's Day mess).

I’m here. I had a bridal shower today and just got home a couple of hours ago.
I posted on the other board once but don’t plan to completely migrate over there. I have a hard time posting on more than one board because I feel like I just write the same exact things. Lol.

hangry I see your "like". Where you been? hey hey! I’ve been very in and out. MH has been traveling a lot which means I am “on” from like 545 am to 9pm. Then I have no energy to post. Anyway, yes, I saw your Toronto post! But then I got pulled away again before responding. You better tell me when you make the final plans! Where do you think you’ll stay? Also, I love the zoo, just make sure to wear your walking shoes! Let me know what else you’re thinking.

I haven't posted on the other board yet but may take a look. We've been trying to get things done around the house this weekend since it's raining. Today I think we're pretty much doing the same thing as mother's day, including the same restaurant for brunch. It was good but I didn't think it was THAT good. Oh well.
I met with my MFM yesterday and they told me that the MRI results were pretty insignificant which is a good thing. They didn't call it a mass but there does seem to be some type of tissue there. Just nothing of immediate concern. They'll do more tests on the baby after she's born. Still waiting on amnio results. I think we'll still get a second opinion on everything though.

Happy Father’s Day to your H’s.
L is being a nightmare this morning! He was up early for him (on par for kids his age) and is just being a jerk! I’m starting to really be bothered by the fact that he hits his head whenever things don’t go his way. I think it’s because he can’t say that he’s sad or mad or hurt so he bangs his head then says, “head!” 🤦🏽♀️
