I have another interview this morning, then I need to pick up gift cards for DD'S teachers. Tomorrow is her last day of school. Can't believe my baby is heading to the second grade. 😭

klw good luck! Just a fairly normal week. Although at work I’m visiting two sites and I’m somehow the team lead. Not sure how I got that, probably because I talk too much. I think dd2 isn’t nursing efficiently on the weekends and would prefer a bottle. I made a bottle of formula for her after I nursed her and she sucked it down. Oh well, at least I know she will have no problem with the formula at daycare.

I was off work Thursday and Friday last week. For the first time ever, I completely unplugged from work. I never thought about it. Never checked my email. I took the kids to the library play and learn on Thursday. Friday I took them for DS3's 9 month photo shoot and lunch. After naps I got out the sprinkler and water toys. It was great spending so much time with them.
Needless to say, it was difficult to come back to work today. I think I need to find a job at a school because I want to take advantage of all the summer time activities at the library, nature centers, and parks with them. This time is fleeting and, before long, I won't be tagging along to their extracurriculars. We made a summer bucket list last night and I think we can actually accomplish it so I'm going to focus on all the fun stuff I get to do with them instead of all the stuff we're not doing.

Zach still has cold symptoms. It's been over two weeks now and he was inconsolable from 12:00 to 3:00am until I gave up and brought him to bed with me. He's going to the pedi this afternoon. It took calling DH a fucking asshole at 2:00 to get him out of bed to try to help me. Of course that only pissed Zach off more so it didn't actually help. Obviously not my best moment, but I'm so sick of doing everything in the motn.
James has his swallow study tomorrow and then we are going to do something special with him so he gets some one on one time with us. I don't think there will be any change. If not, he will have to have an MRI of his brain to see if there is a neurological reason for the swallowing issues.
My dad is coming to visit this weekend so I took a half day on Friday. We need to get the house straightened up and the floors cleaned before he gets here. It should be a good weekend. We're just going to relax around the house/outside with lots of beer and good food.

Crazy busy week but not? We went to the beach this weekend and didn't get home until after 8:30. That meant laundry and groceries today after work, which are normally weekend chores. We normally wouldn't have stayed gone so long but...
Tomorrow is the last day of school 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉-praise sweet baby Jesus this class has done a number on me. We have a workday on Wednesday but I doubt I get everything finished.
Thursday afternoon is our design meeting for our new house. I'll probably go back to work that morning.
If I can just get myself through tomorrow at 3:45, I feel like I can breathe. I just love summer and being able to catch my breath. Our time is so much more flexible and enjoyable.

Ugh PennyCandy. I hope the abx kick in soon. I'm sure tonight will be rough too, but hopefully tomorrow night will be much better. And tell YH he might as well count on doing an hour or 2 MOTN holding Z upright. You deserve some rest too.

PennyCandy I'm sorry he's sick. Hopefully he will be back to sleeping better soon. I hope J's swallow study goes well today.

Hi ladies, I’ve missed you all and wanted to check in! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the nicer weather! Work has been insane and I am feeling really burned out. I finally have vacation scheduled for July 4th but can already tell it will be at least a partial working vacation. L is doing great, starting to let go of things and take a step or 2 before falling over. She is still pretty much constantly sick and seems to have some tendencies toward asthma (always gets wheezing when she has a cold) and eczema and maybe some low grade allergies (tomatoes cause her to get spots all over her face for example?). I will post a pic of her in a minute if I can remember how!

Should add that I obviously didn’t take that picture, lol. We had a photo shoot with all the girls a couple weeks ago.

Work has been busy so I haven't been able to be on much. Last week I was out at a conference and then I was catching up when I came back. I have a lot of work travel I need to plan for coming up and I'm not looking forward to it.

hey, catspajamas2! are you using a nebulizer with L? even one with saline can help. also i wanted to mention that DS1 was very prone to wheezing when he got sick from ages 1-2, then less so from about 2-3, and now he has completely outgrown it. he was pretty eczema-prone as well, and that is better too. so hopefully she will also outgrow it!

You guys! We get to go down to mildly thick liquids and if he tolerates that well, thin liquids, after his next follow up. This is the first time we've seen any progress with swallowing in J so it's a really big deal.

Hey vvvvvfee! That's so great to hear :-) She has an inhaler with a spacer for when she gets wheezy and it works really really well. I hope she outgrows this but she is happy and healthy overall so I try to keep it in perspective. How are the boys doing? Are they ready for summer?

Today was the last day of school! Other than the general amazingness that is summer vacation for teachers, I made it through another school year pumping. That said, I am so freaking glad to be forever done with pumping at work and juggling my crazy teacher schedule and all the stress that comes with it.

doublestuf, you are a rockstar. I think pumping at school was part of why I only made it to 9 months nursing my oldest (and summer coming when he was 7 months old was a big part of that too. Enjoy break! We’ve been so busy here. DD’s birthday party was on the 2nd and then I had a lot of family in my tiny house all of last week. It was fun but I’m ready for life to get back to normal.

So L will be taking her 3rd plane trip for the 4th of July. She was pretty much ok the first 2 trips, unfortunately, I find this age to be the absolute worst age for air travel and still have nightmares about a flight I took with my middle daughter when she turned one. Its only a ~2.5 hour flight, any ideas as to how to keep her busy? She has her own seat (although I think that might induce more screaming).

I'm going to try some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the tablet and some yogurt melts. I...really don't have a plan other than that. Just hoping for some napping.

They just have trouble swallowing thin liquids for some unknown reason so we have to thicken all liquids and avoid hidden liquids like watermelon and ice cream. But James can have those now and should be on thin liquids in the next couple of months. The thickener is $$ and not covered by insurance.

We had a much better night last night and Z seems to be feeling like himself again. He did spit up all over so I think the augmentin may be upsetting his tummy a little.
My neck and shoulders are so sore this morning. I'm not sure what from.
