I can't do Indian food. Too spicy for me! Our friends from India make it for us sometimes and decrease the spice a ton and that's delicious though!

Hi! I have a short day at work. I have a hair appointment and M2’s 2 year well visit this afternoon. My manager said he ate at this Indian restaurant last night that was fantastic, so if I have time, I’ll squeeze in a late lunch before the doc. I’ve always wanted to try Indian cuisine, but never knew where to go or what to get. I love Indian food! Planner palak and samosa chaat are my favorites! And the salt lassi, but no one ever likes that . |

Cadence got to go to school in her pjs. They are having a movie day and get to snack on popcorn. Girl doesn't know how good she's got it. I want a pj/movie day!

my ex-best friend is Indian and I had tried it right from her Mom's cooking (so dont be like 'oh you just havent had the good stuff'), everything about curry is awful, the smell the taste, not for this cat. They'd make me a less spicy tandoori chicken and it was alright, BUT give me and ALL the Indian sweets, I always made sure I was always around for Diwali, they are THE BEST.

vino hehe I'm with you, I don't care for curry. Just can't get past it...Indian food or no. I don't care for it in dishes like curried chicken salad, either.

I love Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan. Maybe a veggie samosa. Indian buffet is best though and I can get a little Navartan Korma.

I love naan. I like coconut curry but low spices and with tofu and veggies because I don't do much meat.

I got to sleep in until 0715 today. It was glorious. I feel alive. I'm working at my other job today and tomorrow, but it's just me here so no nonsense about sitting around all day.

I have tried Indian food exactly 1 time...and it was terrible. We went as a family dinner when I was in high school and me and my brother couldn't stand what we ordered. We ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home.

I love spicy, so give me all the spices. I’m open to new foods so we’ll see how I like it. Will report back if I have time to go. Of course he eats there 2 days before I officially move, so no real time to plan.

Question. Anyone have health insurance not through an employer? At the end of this month, I won’t have insurance anymore. The kids are going on MH’s, but to add us all it will be over $700 a month. Absurd. My job is only PRN, so no benefits for me unless I work a certain number of hours consistently. I will find out more about that at orientation, but in the mean time, I need to check out my options. I was going to just go without for the rest of the year, but the “what if’s” has me thinking that is not wise. We will probably be traveling quite a bit since we will be closer to our families, and I would hate to get in an accident and not have insurance. Any advice about where to look? Is healthcare.gov still an option?

I have only tried Indian food once, I need to do it again. tgrimes I hope the little guy is feeling better today lahdeedah I don’t have private insurance but I feel like it would cost more to go on your own than to be added to your H’s. You can definitely check into it though. |

lahdeedah I know back before people could stay on their parent’s insurance for a long time, my sister was able to get a plan through her college sorority (she had graduated from college a few years earlier). Not sure if you have an affiliation with a group like that.

tgrimes any update on your roof? How's H doing after his nap? No updates on the leak. MH will get in the attic when he gets home to take a look at things to see if it's the roof or a pipe. H is still napping. My MIL said he was screaming out a bit and said his ear hurt when she asked him this morning. |

I accidentally backed into someone last night in the grocery store parking lot. The lady yelled at me and i asked if she wanted to call the police to document it. She said no and drove off because her car was a hot mess already i couldn’t tell what was the damage i did. Anyways, i thought i was in the clear until today i see where my car bumper is dented. Would it be awful if i told DH that someone must have hit me in a parking lot when i wasn’t there?!

I left work early since I had flex time and slept three hours last night. Got a pedicure and came home to relax. My mother was here gardening which is so nice of her but she keeps coming in to chat and linger and she just came in and freaking farted! I’m beyond annoyed. Is the garden worth it?

I went to the restaurant. The chicken tikka was delicious. I had just a bite of the chicken tandoori and it was good, too. Wish they had more of that. It was a lunch buffet, but didn’t have many options. I would definitely eat it again. I was a bit uncomfortable because it was mostly men and I was the only customer. I walked in with 30 minutes left in the lunch open hours.
