I’m sorry nam2013. I didn’t realize the extent of his eating issues. I can’t imagine how stressful it is. I hope he realizes the joy of food soon! How is your DD with it?

I’ve been on the go all day. Once I got to my friends house to get all our bags unloaded, I couldn’t find my phone and thought I left it at Costco. So panicky me was rushing around trying to find it. Of course I left it at my house in my haste to get everything loaded in the car. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m just glad it’s not lost.

Work was frustrating today. In the Fall it was decided by upper management that I had too much on my plate so I happily gave up the intern program to someone else. She did the winter interns fairly well with little problems. The summer interns have been a shit show. I literally could not have made it easier for her- step by step instructions, cut and paste emails in a folder to use, etc. I knew there were issues with set up with IT but I told them they need to deal with her. Today we had ten start and it was a huge cluster. She’s one of my close friends and so is her supervisor. I talked to her supervisor about it and she kind of made excuses. At this point I’ve put in more work than I would have if I did it alone.


Aside from that vent I ordered a bunch of clothes from Loft and Kohl’s and they all fit great. I am also officially an 8, which is so beyond what I imagined. Single digits!! (If one of you bitches says those stores run big, I will cut you!😉)

lfig I'm so irritated for you! How aggravating to see poor S lose functioning due to an insurance snafu. I hope they get their shit together.

Yes, but they only ordered the 3 initial infusions (that the dr didn’t think would work) so once we had those, it had to be approved again to continue. Now the insurance wants proof that they are working to continue. I get it, I just don’t understand why it’s taking soooo long!

The results from Evies ultrasound were normal, so it's all dietary. Which is good, we can figure this out. Glad to know she is okay medically.

Crazy 8s is literally uno with a regular deck of cards.

We haven’t played it yet, but apparently there’s a game called ‘dos’ that’s like uno. We also got a gift with a bunch of old school card games in it. Old maid is the only one that I remember.

Colin loves any memory game, chess (he has the learning set with the allowable moves on the pieces) and we have this aquatic themed math board game that he loves. The easy way to play it involves addition up to 49; there's a way to play it involving subtraction but we haven't tried that way yet.

nam2013 I just remembered what I've heard mentioned on GD a lot. It's ARFID. It's a new diagnosis for the DSM-5. I doubt know if it fits I just remember a lot if discussion about it over there and usually that people hadn't heard of it before.

Also hi. How did I forget that 6 year molars are a thing? Col was complaining this morning that brushing his teeth was hurting him. I asked where, because my first thought was a cavity. He says something about the tooth behind the ones he's pointing at, but he's pointing to his back molar. Except there's clearly another set cutting through at the bottom. He hasn't complained otherwise but now I get why his teeth have gotten so tight!

Other than that, just playing catch-up on my first day back, post-conference. My manager had a death in the family and is out this week, so there are some decisions on hold until he's back.
