tallb I would do exactly that - and maybe with a note saying he just showed it to you and how much you love it or something.

Morning! First day of summer vacation...we picked up our grocery order and are currently having lunch, and we'll head out shortly to Target and hopefully the bookstore. B has a pediatrician appt at 2. I have a couple concerns about his speech--I think he's probably right on the bubble for what's 'typical' for the age in terms of pronunciation, etc., but I'd rather handle it privately thru insurance if he needs an eval and therapy, vs. go thru the school system. So we're going to see today if we need to get that ball rolling...again. Bleh. peachsmama hope your headache eases up soon.

Morning.
I'm at work and have a few things going on but I'm taking a break and am looking at a bounce house/slide rental for our Canada day BBQ. The kids will love it!

Hi!
I made it back to AL with M2 in tow. After I dropped him off at school, I came to the house to do some touching up and get the few things I left. I have errands to run this afternoon and and some shows to catch up on before I do pick up this afternoon. I’ll be back to work tomorrow. Boo.

FWP: I accidentally selected order pick up instead of drive up pick up on my target order. Now I'll have to physically go INTO the store.

I finished an appeal for my insurance company. Let's just say that got way more information on fecal calprotectin testing than they probably wanted to ever know. I haven't had to do that much research & citing since college.

Kinder orientation went well. Cadence is obsessed with the library. I thought there were 3 kindergarten classes, nope, 7!! They have a big common room that all of the classrooms feed off from just for the kindergarteners. I've never seen a set up like that.

I'm choosing to sit in my yard covered in all that is red and white while listening to all songs by the Tragically Hip, and have zero fucks. I might go as far as this chick, she looks like fun.

DD got sick again over night so she is home from school but perfectly fine. I desperately need to grocery shop but I don’t want to bring her out just in case. Tonight Is suppose to be tball but it’s currently raining. I’m going for dinner after the game with 2 of T’s friend’s moms. We will go even if the game is canceled. It’s like a first date, I need to figure out what to wear.

It was a horrible ordeal and ended a decade long friendship.

tgrimes good luck with the insurance appeal. I hate dealing with that kind of crap (literally in your case). peachsmama I hope you feel better soon and the boys behave. Maybe it's Jurassic Park marathon day for them. jewels oh no. I hope replacing the tubes isn't as bad as last time. Glad the dietary changes seem to be helpful. nam2013 feeding issues are so stressful. Try not to be hard on yourself about it.

We got the results of grandmas scan and it was horrendous. Worst we've ever gotten. So many new tumors my mom had to read from the scan, she couldnt remember them all. Shes moving in to my moms this weekend. We're getting oxygen and fluids set up so she can be as comfortable as possible. My cousins have destroyed her house and it seriously smells like a biohazard... we have to get her out of there. And although she's cared for them for years, they cant be bothered to make sure shes eating. So between mom and I, we can make sure she at least has food to eat. But since her newest and largest tumor (they're measuring in centimeters, not millimeters) is in her stomach, idk how much longer she'll be eating..
No hair pats needed. I'm okay. I'm in problem solving mode now. I'll stay here as long as possible to distract myself.

We got a great start on our backyard mini-oasis project this weekend. Our plan is to finish it hopefully over the next several weekends. I think it will be a nice use of a small space. I'm going to see if I can successfully train my dog to use artificial grass on the side of the house as her bathroom. That's what she was used to before so hopefully we'll be successful.

I already 'pay' for shoulder surgery through universal healthcare via taxes, so we're all good. I'm being a bit facetious here of course . But, it'll be for the kids to stay out of the way of the parents who finally will have time to sit and visit.

Technically, he could have sued their homeowner's insurance for payment, since the injury was on their property. Ridiculous.

mamabear long story short, he had a low birth weight & apparently those kids are more likely to have issues with solids. Ds doesn’t really recognise a hunger sensation, he just feels unwell (took us a while to figure this out). The first year after solids he threw up his whole meal 4-5 times a week. Trying new things is next to impossible, he still often has to be spoon fed, because he can’t bring himself to eat. He eats extremely slow, this is the biggest struggle at the moment. We’ve released pushing him to try new things for now. He can vocalise that he wants to try/eat, but can’t, it is heartbreaking to see.

I think that sounds awesome for when they want to combine for bigger activities or have classes meet to differentiate for groups. Lucky!!
