Ramadan has started, so MH is starting to fast every day. Fun.
I took O back to the ENT because he’s still not breathing well while he sleeps. Even after his surgery. The ENT thinks he has allergies now that his nasal passages were opened. So the next step is a scratch test. I’m feeling like we aren’t gonna be able to fix his sleep. Isn’t there no real medicine for allergies?! All i ever hear is how much people suffer who have them. I just want him to breathe normally when he sleeps so we can all get good rest.

snoopmommymom depends of the severity. The shots I get help and eventually I'll get to the point where I only need yearlys. Perhaps if you start him young it's something that will eventually go away.

wedding your last paragraph is wise and what i was saying to MH tonight. I am bummed that she will never be who i want her to be. But realistically I know she will never change so i need to accept that and not be bothered. Truthfully, I think Mother’s Day is stupid and don’t really care what we do. I don’t know why I let today get me so upset. I’m sorry you have to share your birthday. That’s rough.

jewels, I'm sorry. How frustrating. MIL is really dramatic about that stuff. Last year she cried on Mother's day because we didn't post about her on Facebook.. That doesn’t surprise me |

I envy people who are actually friends with their mothers and do fun stuff together. Our relationship has been irreparably broken by alcoholism and anxiety. |

klong11 I know allergies are common and the shots work for some. I’m mostly concerned about his sleep because when he’s barely breathing then he’s not getting enough oxygen and of course enough rest either. Of course he’s one of the few kids that his surgery didn’t solve his apnea.

I haven't talked to my mom in a year and a half since I kicked her out over the me too stuff. Well I did call to tell her about her brother passing but somehow that was not important enough for her to call her mother. I have somehow actively dinne something in that time to offend her. I remind myself that she is irrational if she thinks these things and there is no truthful thing I can say to change them. It is healthiest for me to live without that drama. Should be interesting to see if she shows up to my brother's wedding next year.

Ok guys, evie got her first birthday party invite...do I assume I need to stay during the party? I dont know ettiquite. Do I ask the mom? I did rsvp. It’s been drop off parties since B’s friends started turning 5. When i rsvp I usually say, ‘thanks for the invite to ____’s party, B will be attending and is super excited. Also, just wanted to confirm if this is a drop off or parent stay party. Thanks in advance and we can’t wait to celebrate ___’s party’ I usually ask about what the kids into, character etc to guide the gift giving. ETA: this is the norm here to ask, I’ve had other parents confirm with me as well for B’s 5th Birthday and all kids did drop off |

Basically her muscles in her mouth/throat are too relaxed. |

There’s an allergy thread on GD that I went into the other night with a poster that has kids with bad allergies that had recommendations. Most posters seem to keep it bay with a combination of meds and nasal sprays. It was worth the read. Right now we do Zyrtec daily year round for M2 along with a steroid to keep him from wheezing. At some point I want to discuss allergy testing for him since Mh is allergic to a lot. I want Mh to see a specialist, too for the immunotherapy injections mentioned in the thread. He is allergic to grass, but he can’t escape it in his career. |

So my appt was fine, I felt pretty awful today prob bc lack of sleep, dehydrated, and not enough food. Baby seems great, we were nervous the tech would tell us the sex bc she was distracted bc her 7 year old called and had missed the bus, but she got through it.
I mentioned to my doctor that we may go to NYC and then later asked about measles and she's like omg, I am having you tested bc it's you may go to the city. So I got blood work today and they may start testing all since there have been confirmed cases nearby. I'm so grouchy about this.

Mothers day plans are made and I'm grouchy about it. But I'm just letting it go. I have to much on my plate to micromanage it. I had another minor breakdown tonight. So A sent me on a golf cart ride and put the kids in bed and cleaned the kitchen. Also discovered my escaped pony for the 2nd time today. She's such a brat.
I need to think of something to get my mom for mothers day..

guster I’m actually pretty good today. Not 100% but way better then before. Thanks for asking. Haven’t bought my moms card, I did order her gift but it won’t be here in time 🤦♀️ , my nephew graduates college this weekend and haven’t done anything for that. The school didn’t provide the list for daily activities until this morning but I message the director thinking I didn’t grab it so I worked on that today. C bought the flower for today’s gift last night.
