I suggested Spencer. Still secretly hoping for Steve. I don't see Spencer as a first name. Possibly a middle name. I think it's more an American thing to use family surnames as a first name than it is a UK thing.
I don’t see it as a First either. I don’t have a clue for a first name. They don’t really have to be traditional so it could be anything. Which I think is exciting. |

Like roguelily , I also live in Asia, and we have helpers/nannies/driver/etc. It’s pretty standard for someone on an expat package in my country to have all of that, and I think culturally, helpers/nannies/drivers/cooks are much more common here. I have had 2 babies in Asia - I could have easily had a night nurse, but I opted not to. I work full time and I breastfed both kids (DS1 until he was two, and DS2 is still breastfeeding at 18 months). Neither of my kids are good sleepers, but for me - it was important that H and I get up with them MOTN. In my specific case - since I would just nurse the baby back to sleep, I didn’t really need or want a night nurse. 🤷♀️ Most western expats I know could also easily arrange to have a night nurse, but they don’t for similar reasons. Privacy is another factor for many. So, I say all this to convey the point that just because Kate and Will have the resources to hire ‘round the clock help, it shouldn’t be automatically assumed that they use a night nurse or they don’t get up with their kids MOTN. Similarly, just because they can afford to have a chef, doesn’t mean that Kate doesn’t frequently cook. |

Theodore was our boy name for DD and I think it would be a great name option for them. I keep waffling between thinking they’ll pick something out of the royal ordinary and then thinking they’ll just sort of fall in line with something typically Royal.
I doubt it’ll be Arthur. All the media will do is keep referencing Pippa and frankly I think Pippa’s 15 minutes should have been long up by now.
