CNN is reporting she’s in labor.  Can I just say, I would HATE for my labor to be announced. I mean, I get it, royal yadda yadda. But. Ugh. I'm just imagining this. Blech. |

The weird announced and then cancelled trip. Then the labor being announced but the baby was already born. It’s making the palace seem incompetent. |

ArielMermaid um what? I don't know what is going on with that announcement So... it’s kind of to verify that the child is a true born royal. Old school “yes I saw that baby exit her vagina.” Like, Will & Kate could never. It will also not help the crazy conspiracy theories of there being a surrogate (a la Beyoncé). |

This is weird to me. Who cares who attended it? It's fueling speculation that she was faking her pregnancy. 🙄 Honestly she was probably attended by a midwife team and they're not releasing the names to protect them from the press/harassment. |

Then I'm wondering why they didn't just announce the birth and skip the labor part? Or maybe since they previously said it would be announced when she was in labor so they just went with it. I don't care either way just seems odd they announced she was in labor after she'd already given birth then announced the birth so soon after. 🤷♀️ Yes. It is weird. The reporters are annoyed. People are speculating that she secretly gave birth and didn’t notify the palace? I mean, I can think of several scenarios. If she got induced they might have said they wouldn’t announce until she was in active labor and that didn’t happen til overnight. But I don’t see them doing this secretly from the Queen. I don’t think that really flies. |

Just here for roll call. Our house got hit by a tornado last night (it's not completely destroyed but it's not great) so I am busy with insurance and spotty cell reception so OF COURSE she had that baby today. Oh My God Are you guys ok?? Do you need anything?? (I mean, obvs, but really) |

I sort of feel like there’s this sense that they (maybe it’s just Meghan?) want it both ways- like Meghan definitely enjoys the publicity and the gossip and such and then there’s this intense pull towards privacy and secrecy that makes it seem off. I wonder if that’s Harry’s desire more than hers?
I don’t know if I’m making sense. I can’t imagine being a public figure like they are, but I also feel like if I was I’d want there to be zero doubt that I birthed my own damn child.

Unless Harry delivered the baby in their bathtub? Lol. No idea but even if they had a home birth a midwife or doula or someone would have had to have came to their house. Who knows. |

Also if I birthed my kid in my bathtub with my husbands assistance I would want everyone to know how Fucking Strong and Awesome I was.
Alas, I was the lady whose stretcher was sprinted into an OR for an emergency csection so fast I ended up needing an X-ray to make sure no tools were left behind because there was no time to count before surgery 🤷🏻♀️

I mean, maybe not a bathtub, but I had a precipitous birth with my first and so I can easily assume that could have happened to her. The whole going from kid not dropped, not dialated, nobody believing your water broke to having a baby in arms within 30 minutes. So 🤷🏻♀️

Why not just announce she'd given birth? I think it's more of a royal/media protocol thing than a her/Harry thing. |
