Today is the last day of school. The last day with kids was Friday. Today it’s just me in my classroom cleaning and packing everything up. I’m always super off task these days and end up just throwing things in closets. August me really hates how lazy May me can be.

It's so hard to stay motivated at the end! 2 of my last three years teaching I was pregnant so I had the kids do everything, it was the best!

Dramaphile hopefully your kiddos start to feel better soon! pixiepink24 sorry about your DS. I'm SO glad dd2 is much more mellow than dd1. We had/still have so many injuries with dd1 because she is so crazy and seems to have no self preservation haha

Dd2 is getting pretty good at crawling! She is not quite crawling all over the place yet, but she definitely can get to things if she wants to.

DS2 is at his first day of daycare today. The pictures I've gotten from them make it seem like it's going ok so far!

brennaIt's so funny because he has such a chill temperament but he just has no fear and I swear, it's like he's wanted to run since birth. Lol!

I told everyone before she was even born that she was going to be a busy one (she never stopped moving in the womb!) And she came out ready to climb, run, and jump on whatever she could. Dd runs literally everywhere she goes and I thought that was a normal kids thing, but we've had so many people ask if thats what she always does and say they think it's funny because apparently most kids don't do that? 🤷

brenna It's so funny because he has such a chill temperament but he just has no fear and I swear, it's like he's wanted to run since birth. Lol! I totally feel like a baby's birth is telling about their personality, so it makes sense your DS is in a hurry! Same with C, he is just so determined to do everything early and give me grey hairs in the process. My DD was 8 days late, and I had a long labor and pushed for almost 3 hours before she finally came, and she is the most stubborn kid you could ever imagine. Her preschool teachers describe her as "strong willed and independent."

DramaphileHaha! I totally didn't think of it that way. But any baby that pushed his way out in a car, is a baby that isn't letting anything stop him! Lol! Makes sense.

Another sleepless night, DD spiked a fever MOTN and said her ear hurt, and then of course acted totally normal in the morning. And C had another rough night, too. I talked MH into taking her to the doctor this afternoon because if we can head off yet another night of sleep deprivation for me, that would be great.

Having two kids up at night is the worst! DDs always seem to space it out perfectly with their wake ups where I just fall asleep before the other one wakes up. Hopefully your DD starts to feel better soon!

Double ear infection for DD, C's ears are fine and he's just got a virus/teething. At least one of those will clear up quickly and hopefully C's on the tail end since he's been sick for 3 days already.

I finally got to use the gift card from the restaurant that I gave birth in front of! Took my parents out and ate a big expensive meal. It was amazing! DS was loving the attention he was getting.

I bought diapers at Target over the weekend and they were doing buy 2 boxes get a $10 gift card. I did self checkout and apparently the gift card I pulled off the shelf already had money on it! I just checked the balance of my card and there's $15 on it instead of $10 and I didn't buy anything else with a gift card offer that day. It's only $5 but this kind of stuff never happens to me so I'll take it!

Too Funny! MH and I were just joking a few days ago that we should have gone to the game the day C was born (we have season tickets to the Philadelphia Union and missed the last game of the season) and maybe he'd get free season tickets for life.

Tooth #2 broke through yesterday, and C actually slept from 8:30pm-4:45am last night! If only DD had slept as well as her brother...

I'm starting to have feelings about not wanting to breast feed anymore and I don't know how to feel about it. Dd1 weaned at about 9.5 months and dd2 is almost 9 months. I'm just so tired of trying to wrestle DD to try to get her to eat and if dd1 is anywhere near dd2 she will not feed at all because she's so distracted. We have given up on bottles but if she starts drinking from a sippy cup better I might just decide to stop.

DD was eight months on the 21st. In the last month she's mastered sitting unassisted, started army crawling all over, she got her first two teeth, she's starting to try to clap and she's showing a lot of interest in pulling up. She seems to have suddenly grown up a lot.
She's been army/inchworm/zombie crawling for a couple weeks now and she still hasn't figured out how to actually crawl on her knees yet! It's pretty funny to watch her excitedly drag her body across the floor to get to something she really wants!
My DS turned three this past weekend ðŸ˜

Happy belated birthday to your DS tbirdlove! DS2 inch wormed his way across the first floor yesterday to get from where he was playing to where I was washing some dishes. He stopped to play with scattered toys on his way but I was impressed with the distance!

MH's grandparents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Wednesday so we're having a party for them tomorrow night. I'm very happy for them because 70 years is unbelievable! but apparently GrandMIL complained about the last party (can't remember if it was for 60 or 65) being family only so it's being held in the dining room at their live-in retirement community. Ignoring the fact that I don't love us being told what is or is not a good enough celebration to throw in their honor, I'm am not looking forward to having to deal with the 2 kids while in a room full of who knows how many people while wearing a skirt because jeans are not allowed and I have nothing in between skirt vs jeans that fits ok.

We had a tooth cut yesterday as well. It's been surprisingly not too bad. I swear that was the longest teething episode ever!! I could literally see the tooth for months. Little guy will be 7 months on Sunday! Hes doing much better with figuring out how to get down from standing up and I keep catching him holding one handed. He will literally use anything to try and stand up with. He's been sleeping better too and finally interested in eating food!

DD is getting so good at feeding herself. Tonight she ate steak and carrots, last night she ate salmon, rice, and zucchini and she loves all of it! She gets so mad if I don't fill her tray fast enough!

brenna What a good eater!! I was going to give DS a try of some salmon the other day but I put way too much seasoning on it. DD loves salmon and steak. I hope I have another good eater.

I hope I have another good eater. dd1 loves steak and salmon more than any other meats. We always joke that she'll be the 5 year old at the restaurant ordering the $30 dollar steak because she doesn't really like the kids meal type foods.
