Oh and MH told me last night that instead of coming home Saturday night for 5 days, he is only home till Monday morning. And that trip went from 3 days to 8 days. So my kids will spend a total of 2 days with their dad from February 10 - April 29. I am deep in a pitty party for myself right now. I’m sorry. This sucks so much for everyone. Does he make his own schedule? Is there an “off season” for him at all? He is freelance so basically he quotes jobs when he gets the chance. He just went out on his own 2 years ago so between that and the fact that he’s a total workaholic, he rarely turns anything down As to off season, usually July- August, November, and Jan - feb. But obviously not this feb

joelies our first bullying experience was last year when C was four. So was the other boy. Only child, very nice mom. But, and I hate to say this because it sounds horrible, but he was an evil kid. He actually got asked to leave preschool. We recently ran into him at the trampoline park and he’s still acting that way and kept picking on C. We also had an incident where C and his friend (who has an older brother) were picking on a new kid at school and pushing him. Coming to pick up your kid and finding out he bullied someone is so awful. I just about lost my mind on C but I felt like we came to an understanding and the next day the teachers told me how nice C was being to the boy and how happy it made him. Last month the lesson of the month at karate was bullying and he learned a lot and now stops it when he sees it. Which is so nice.

Not cagoldi... but I didn’t get any input on Sierra’s aide. And I just asked her aide the other day if she will go to Kdg with her and she said she didn’t know yet. They haven’t told her their plans for her for next year yet. But from my experience (I used to be an aide for 2 kiddos with autism) typically the aide will move along with the kid. That’s what I experienced with the one-to-one aides in my high school English classrooms but I didn’t know if things were different on the younger end if things. I’m glad lfig answered because I have no clue about these things. I am under the impression they like to have the aide continue along with them, but I wonder if they switch at some cutoff period like preschool vs upper elementary grades? I still have a lot of questions. The county has a workshop that I hope to attend in a couple weeks that will cover transitioning to public school and what I need to do for his IEP, so I’m hoping to learn a lot more at that time. I already see the SN kids at the school when I drop off/pick up Atticus each day, and I’m really encouraged by what I’ve seen with the set up of the classrooms and how the teachers and aides handle the students. Unsurprisingly, I’ve been told the quality of services can vary widely from district to district, so we’re feeling very lucky to be where we are.

My child has requested an egg hunt at home. I guess I'll pick up supplies tomorrow. She knows the eggs we hide aren't from the Easter bunny, just the basket. Although, I think I made mh go out the night before and hide them last year, but that could have just been for shits and giggles on my part. 😁

We have not taken the kids to see the Easter bunny. MH and I just had a conversation about how they don’t talk and it’s a little odd to me.

Do you do Easter Egg hunts at home or just fill eggs in the basket? I like putting the eggs outside and having him find them. One year when SD was older I did a scavenger hunt with clues in the eggs to find her basket We only do eggs for hunting. No eggs in the basket. We just do candy in our eggs.

I got the rest of the toys from my parents, cleaned their back porch, weeded the sand box and mowed their back yard. We're having Easter there Sunday and I knew they wouldn't do it. Then I mowed our yard some. It's really high so I mowed with the deck raised and will mow normal next week. Also this conversation happened:
Me: I'm going to go mow with the deck up so I can mow normal on Tuesday or Wednesday.
My brother and alex: it's going to rain tomorrow and Saturday, no way you can mow this weekend
Me: blank stare
I didnt realize Wednesday was a weekend 🤦♀️

It's been kind of shocking and sad to me that there are a few kids in Col's kindergarten class that are consistent troublemakers. Really it's one main kid and 2 who follow his lead. They're already showing bullying tendencies which I don't really get - they don't have older siblings or anything, so where did they learn this? Probably from watching it on tv or YouTube. Maybe their cousins or neighborhood kids.

Hey. I had muffins with mom in H’s class this morning. It was cute to see their morning circle time routine. Then I ran a couple errands before picking the girls up from school. It was cold and yucky out so we stayed inside during the afternoon. After lunch MIL picked H up and took her to an activity so I napped with S. Tonight I worked and I’m going to sleep in a few minutes. jewels that sucks so hard, I’m sorry.
