It’s spring break week here so B doesn’t have school or speech. We are getting a ton of rain this week so the cabin fever is strong. Luckily, my MIL is watching the boys Wednesday and I have the entire day planned sans kids! Just gotta survive til then.

I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I'm excited for that. Just gotta get through this week which I'm predicting will suck a little as I'm dealing with issues.
MIL texted H and I last night (during GoT) asking if we wanted to have Easter dinner at our house even though she's already planning on doing the cooking. I'm just like sure sure whatever can we talk about this tomorrow?? So now we have to figure out if that's happening.

I'm at work. My kitchen is a disaster from all of our meal prep and it's giving me anxiety...but I HAD to watch GoT last night.

O seemed better this morning, he had a normal #2. Thank goodness H and I didn’t get sick too. It seemed like a bad one, O was miserable all weekend. We attempted the spring photo shoot w O on Sunday. He was basically screaming No the entire time and mean mugging. Sooo I’m not expecting much from the pictures. H is out of town till Thur this week. I have 2 super early work meetings on tues/wed so not sure what I’m going to do since I have to get O ready and to school. I’m going to have to chat w my boss.

Who wants to help with wedding stuff. My niece is going to do a reading during the ceremony. We are Catholic but the ceremony isn't religious. Neice is 10 so nothing to complicated. She'll be the only one doing a reading (aside from me).

Our taxes were done a couple weeks ago! We didn’t owe anything which always makes me happy!
DH went to NYC to fix my mom’s dryer luckily it was a quick fix for $40 vs a whole new dryer. L had speech this am and we’ve been chillin’ ever since (DH has car, I have the truck but if I don’t have to use that, I won’t! 🤷🏽♀️)
I’m devastated by the fire of Notre Dame in Paris. It’s been hard to not have the news on all day!!
How are Easter baskets coming? L seems interested this year so now I have to put one together!! Of course this kid is allergic to most of the candy you put in them and we don’t have Thomas the train baskets available here! 🤦🏽♀️ Will probably get him some wooden ones on Thursday.
**Sorry if this seems random, I’ve been typing and forgetting to hit send for a while lol**

Cheshie6 C's Easter basket has a drawing pad, some magic marker paper, a colorform thing (he loves the Netflix show), a $3 Target game, toy cars, kite, baby doll and some books. I didn't put any food or candy in there.

I found gluten free vegan chocolates, so the boys each have one of those (big egg), some candies, a thing of bubbles, and a small toy. They'll also have an egg hunt. I have those plastic eggs and I'll put jelly beans and maybe some stickers inside.

Cheshie6 , I hit up Michael's pretty hard for their easter basket goodies.- I got bubble wands, crayons and coloring books, some little cars and construction trucks, and they had these cute $15 backpacks that had coloring books, crayons, stamps and ink, and some other stuff in it. They were themed, so I got a Mr. potato head and a Sesame Street one. I went to target for books and some candy - I got all non chocolate stuff - skittles, jelly beans, lollipops, peeps .

Easter basket - sunglasses (I’m hoping he will wear them. He complains about the sun being bright), big brother book, bath color drops, chalk, toy car.
So O is still not really better... he threw up in my mom’s car on the way home from daycare yesterday and he’s still been having #3. He was very grumpy this morning. I’m feeling nauseous.... I’m praying it’s pg related and not this bug.

I haven't shopped for Easter basket stuff yet, but I don't really put any candy in there. Maybe a couple of the Reese's eggs, but that's it. I do the water books, bubbles, matchbox cars, chalk, etc. I'll probably do one of those eggs that you put in water and it grows or hatches or whatever. And maybe some summer shirts. And I put the dyed eggs in their baskets as well. I do put candy in the plastic eggs to hide, though. As well as stickers, tattoos and other small, non-food goodies.

H's basket has sunglasses, a bubble thing, a chocolate bunny and a big Maui doll. M's basket has a dvd of Ralph breaks the internet, a puzzle, a book and a baby alive mermaid doll.

Happy Tuesday!! DH is meeting with a friend, someone he can talk to about the incident on the ship. (someone died while DH was doing cpr for those not on SC) I know when he went to get recertification for helicopter stuff, they went over cpr and he was affected more than he realized.
Otherwise, quiet day for us! We went to the park after I taught swimming and I’m sitting waiting for my toddler to nap. Nap time might become quiet time. I’m not ready 😭

Oh god Cheshie6, I missed that on SC! I can’t imagine how traumatizing that would be. I hope he’s able to talk through it easily and release any guilt he may have. I once heard the statistic that cpr is only effective like 10% of the time!!

Is this weird?
So one of our facilities personnel is retiring at the end of the month. He's an older gentleman who mostly keeps the kitchen stocked, waters the plants, cleans the bathroom, etc. One of the AR reps in my department (who is honestly BEC for a lot of people) decided to pass around a box to collect money for him.
Pooling money to get a gift for someone who is retiring is pretty par for the course here, but that's not what she's doing. She's just collecting cash. She didn't talk to anyone about this and didn't send out any emails nor does she have any type of sheet saying who donated what.
Obviously her execution is poor, but more than that I think collecting money for a person who is retiring is tacky and borderline insulting. Almost like a charity case. We've never just given straight cash for someone retiring before and I feel like she's only doing it because of his position.

jubilantsquirrel Yes, I think that's a little weird. Even a gift card would be better IMO. My CWs wife had a baby earlier this year and we took him out to lunch and collected cash for a gift. They didn't have a registry and the baby came early so my CW who was in charge of getting the gift decided to just give him the cash instead. I still feel weird about that but whatever.

H had a temp of 103 last night and didn’t want to eat dinner. I checked his ears and it looks like one of his tubes is just hanging on by a thread. He threw up at some point in the MOTN. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m taking him to the ent this morning and then I’ll be staying home with him.

So C still uses a sleep sack at night but he now likes to also have a blanket in his crib. Almost every night when I check on him before I go to bed, he is sleeping with the blanket on his face. It's not a big blanket so I'm not worried about him getting lost in it, but it's kind of scary to see it on the monitor. He always liked to put something on his face while he sleeps. He used to do it with his wubba pacifier when he was younger.
Do any other kids do weird things like that?

Nothing on his face, but I have heard of other kids doing that.
