Charlie gave me a little less than one month of 715-730 wake ups and now he’s back to 630 (with the new 7 pm bedtime and no nap). It’s a long day (mostly for me!)

I will just have to adjust my wake up time. I got used to getting up at six for the last month, but now I’ll have to go back to 530.

Morning!
Yesterday was the last day of school before spring break, so we don’t have to jump up this morning. DH usually gets done around noon on Fridays so we might take the kids to the botanical garden after lunch.
Otherwise just laundry, packing and tidying up before our trip.

Hanging at home with a cup of coffee and my kid...who is packing way too much shit to go to my moms for the day.
I have my annual ObGyn appt at 8. Then to work.

I walked in to family breakfast and in two mins C says “I’m not hungry and just want to play. Can you just go?” Guess I’m not going to sweat it when I can’t make these things 🤷♀️

Morning! My flight home leaves this morning but first I need to pack and sneak back into the office to leave snacks for my squads. I shared 2 bottles of wine with my old manager (she was a few managers ago) and had some great conversation, but my body is NOT used to drinking that much and I'm feeling a bit gross.
We managed to push off my return to the week AFTER the GTG, so now I won't be back for almost 3 weeks... Hmm. At least my manager is fine with me making it a short trip. We have our annual user conference at the end of May, so I'm assuming I can hold off any additional visits until June at the very earliest.
Can't wait to get home and see DH and the boys!!

guster I’m so impressed with your ability to wake up before your kids. I savor every second in bed I can.

Thankfully DH got home last night. My fire alarm decided to go off 4 times between 4 and 5 am. If he wasn’t here, I probably would have ended up calling the fire department to check it out. This has happened before, of course only MOTN. Only DD bothered to come out of her room and make sure things were ok. Both boys got up and asked “why were the alarms going off so much?” Fire safety talk on today’s agenda.

guster I’m so impressed with your ability to wake up before your kids. I savor every second in bed I can. MH is up at 5:15 and he tries to be quiet, but I hear all his steps. So my last 15 to 45 minutes of “sleep” is really closed eye resting. I really am not asking for much: a half an hour to read my phone, get out the ingredients for dinner, and drink at least one cup of coffee.

Morning. Work and a short intermezzo at ds’ school in the middle on the agenda today. Ds had a Palm Sunday celebration at school today, it was so cute to see the all walking and singing holding their palm sticks with a bread rooster on top, he was so proud. I keep telling myself that in two half hours, it’s weekend.

Leave H in bed and hope E doesn't wake while I enjoy coffee and FB in peace and quiet!

B has occasionally been skipping naps and I am so not ready to lose that nap time. Until recently (1-2 weeks ago) he was waking at 8 and all of a sudden it's anywhere from 6:30 - 7:15. Fortunately S will usually be up and "help" with him while I get ready, but I miss that time to myself!

Friday! I was up late doing my discussion post about financial fraud (snooze fest) and spent most of the day figuring out refi options. I am not meant to be a financial person, that is for sure. So I'm dragging today. My SM called and asked if we can host Easter dinner/egg hunt bc she's too stressed with listing their house, so game on the prove that we have done anything since the whole family was here at Xmas..busy weekend ahead.
Where does one procure a ham besides honey baked ham?
Oh and something got into my potted flowers and basically dug them up out of the pots! I assume squirrels, but wth. Not cool.

I'm frustrated and annoyed. My morning started out great and relaxing. Then J dumped all his puzzles into one pile. A let the dogs (who were sandy and muddy) on the sheets. Of course only on my side. So now I get to wash the bed clothes. M dumped a whole thing of index cards all over. My mom just threw the collar for the fence on the dog and didn't bother training her. So she ran through the fence and is now traumatized from getting shocked and hiding under A's truck. I can't get her out. And a whole mess with work with the driver that I'm always cleaning up messes for. It's raining so nothing I want to get done is going to get done. A has a cold so I had let him sleep in since he was so great while I was sick but now he got my sheets dirty and I am out of sympathy. So I've locked myself in the bedroom and letting him parent J.

Morning. Another snow day off school, so annoying. It’s either still lightly snowing or just blowing around. I feel bad for the poor birds in this weather, I need to get a birdhouse. More cleaning for me today, at least the laundry is done. peachsmama sorry for all the annoying things this morning. I hope your day improves from here.

OMG y'all. I can't refill H's antibiotic because it's not time to refill it, according to the insurance company. But it is time since once they mix the antibiotic it's only good for 10 days. I give it once weekly therefore, I can only get 2 doses out of each bottle. FUCKING INSURANCE COMPANY! WHY AM I SMARTER THAN YOU?

Oh and I don't think I told y'all that H has another EI. When i saw him shoving his finger in his ear last weekend I looked in there and one of his tubes is almost completely out and the other one is either partially out or the eardrum is growing over it...FML.

Damn tgrimes. I was hoping since we haven’t heard that there’s nothing to tell. I freaking hate insurance. I’ve had so many issues with my diabetes supplies over the years.

C regularly wakes up between 5-5:30 these days. At least he’s pretty self sufficient. Yesterday I was leaving for work at 5:45am to get more hours so I could take today off. I came downstairs and C says “Let’s start this day off right with a game of Pokémon”. Totally what I wanted to do😐

I'm going to be an ass and flaunt my glorious life of kids who are old enough to take care of themselves when they wake up in the morning and that they both sleep in. What I'm going to cry about to myself is I work this weekend so it doesn't matter and they'll still be sleeping when my ass is up at 0530 and the older one fights sleep so much she's often up until 9:30 or later.
