Poor girl. wineallthetime Hope she enjoyed her birthday besides that unfortunate event. Happy belated birthday to sweet L! flamingo It’s so draining when you are traveling or vacationing with people who are like this. Both my sister and my SIL are like this and not fun to go places with and my mom and MIL like to vent to us about it. Maybe Yh can let your ILs know that one day or half day will be a family day for just the four of you so you all can have a “break”. joelies Poor C. I hope starts feeling better soon. Have a safe trip.

Took the kids to the zoo today, the weather was amazing and the kids had a blast! Dh ate half a cheese sandwich (big thing for him, the cheese not the sandwich) yesterday and as a reward he could choose something from the gift store. Ds commented that he thought it was the most ridiculous thing ever that there were grown ups without kids visiting the zoo ‘don’t they have other stuff to do’ 😂.

It looks good. We did a chocolate brown. I just wanted it with the bayalage technique. It’s regular foils and I haven’t done that in years. I forgot to take the before pic.

Thanks, y’all, glad I’m not crazy. I think my H sees my side of things after our conversation; he brought it up again when he got home from the store and has promised we will do our own thing at least part of the time. Luckily we rented our own house (also my idea) so hopefully that will help.
I know he wants for his family to have plenty of time with the kids, and I get that. But they have plenty of opportunity/invitations to visit us here, and they don’t. Fine, but don’t complain or hassle me about it.

Back home from my hair appointment. Cadence says she is surprised they were able to color ALL of my white hairs. 🤪

Hi!
Busy weekend. Moms night out at the wine bar and we stayed until closing. I didn’t get to bed until after 2 am and I’m really feeling it.
I’m also thoroughly repulsed with men and so grateful not to be in the dating scene. I cannot believe some of the disgusting things I heard last night.
We did brunch with my mom and sisters this morning. Park and picnic after nap, then date night once the kids are in bed. No idea where Pete plans on taking me.

Just catching up now. Lots of outside time here and I’m fighting something sinus-y, so I was in bed early with Benadryl both nights.

We’re at the park and these older kids are here giving away balloons on a stick for some reason; they offer J one and she says ‘No, it’s orange’ straight face and turns away from them. Homegirl HATES anything orange, it’s the weirdest thing.

Hi all! Busy weekend here. Took the kids to a raptor exhibit yesterday, then 2 ballet performances for N and dinner with my family in between. Then today was church, cleaning the house and Hs birthday party. It was a fun day and nice enough for the kids to play outside. Kids are in bed now, Dh is putting together new toys, and I’m drinking my smooth move tea again and hoping for a miracle by morning 😬🤞

Because of soccer game timing, the boys didn't nap today. I had them fed, bathed and in bed asleep by 7:30. Then I relaxed for an hour before cleaning the house and starting laundry.

Hey! Got back from vacation this afternoon. We almost got stuck in Huston but we were one of the last flights to get out before a storm closed the airport for a while. Thought for a moment I might have to crash with an n13. Miss my baby but enjoying the rest of vacation before picking him up tomorrow.

Hey. I’m so tired right now but I don’t know why, really. S slipped her nap today because we went to the IL’s to celebrate GMIL turning 94 with the extended family at 2. Cake, ice cream and visiting. The girls and I ended up walking down the street to a friend’s house halfway through the “party” (after cake) so they could play with their friends. We hung out there until 5, then home for supper. S fell asleep on the couch before her food was ready. I didn’t let her sleep too long because I wanted her to be able to fall asleep at bedtime. DH is doing that right now and I’m about to fall asleep. joelies I hope you had a safe flight and that Col is feeling better soon. wineallthetime poor L.

slenle how did N do with the ballet performances? Do you think her 'stage fright' phase has passed? DH booked our flights to Maine this summer, 3+ months out but I'm already excited. We told B we were going to drive and he started crying...I think the kid has legit PTSD from the last few car trips, lol. Needless to say, he was thrilled when we revealed we'd actually be flying. We had a fun night at our friends'...the kids played SO well and the weather was great so we sat out on their screen porch having apps and pomegranate margaritas while the guys grilled the steaks. My key lime pie was a hit. I think I had one too many margaritas, I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow Probably should go get some preemptive water and aspirin!

flamingo, I had high hopes but the stage fright was definitely still there. She was so exited after the rehearsal Friday but then cried back stage before each performance. But, she did it! Didn’t look super happy but she did a great job and really knows the dance. We asked if she had fun and she said “not really, glad I don’t have to do it next year”

Ikea during nap/lunch time was a bit dicey, but we survived. I normally get N a naked smoothie from the cafe at the register before we leave and they don't carry them anymore down there! She did not forget so I had to take everything to the car and then we had to go back to the restaurant section. It was an ordeal. My FIL is staying over and he legit went to bed at 8 when the kids did. Fairly confident he's watching Fox news in the basement since he doesn't have cable at home...
A fb friends posted a pregnancy announcement that she ran a 10 mile race today with a baby girl on board... feeling a touch lazy with my 1 hour of glorified stretching at Barre now..

Hi! I’m F’ing EXHAUSTED! All week last week at work I moved offices. My office is still in disarray, so more of that this week.
Then we left Thursday after work headed to GA for a wedding this weekend. Made it to Clarksville, TN and decided to call it a night. The hotel we chose was a bad choice. Dirty floors and air conditioner wouldn’t work. The outlet was black and charred. Went to get another room, it had shit smeared on the toilet seat. So we told them we were leaving. Still fighting with them for a refund. Went down the road though and got a much nicer accommodation.
Wedding festivities Friday and Saturday, didn’t get back to hotel last night till 12:30, then woke up at 6:30 to hit the road. 10 hour drive home today. That was pretty sucky after just 5 hours of sleep. But MH and I took turns driving and sleeping. Lol.
Sierra did sooooo good all weekend. And she did not whine or fuss once the entire drive. She is a rockstar traveler! Little does she know that we are on the road again Tuesday through Thursday to STL for appts.
Then Friday the revolving door starts for Turkey season. My BIL is staying for 2 weeks 🙄. Then we have 3 friends from GA coming (the ones that got married this weekend plus her dad) then another friend coming after that. I won’t have my house back till the beginning of May.
I kinda want to crawl in a hole and ignore life for a few weeks.

Also, did I tell y’all my FIL got married a week ago 🙄. He told us by text, then didn’t invite us. Then had his neighbors (that he’s known only for a year) stand up for them. But 2 days later called us and told us he needed to borrow one of our vehicles for an unknown amount of time while his gets repaired. So we have been juggling our life to accommodate him, even though we weren’t worth a wedding invite.

Wow lfig what a weekend! Glad y'all survived and that S did so well...such a sweetheart. I hope her appointments this week go well. Was it you who had the relative (FIL?) hanging out naked in your house during hunting season? If so, I hope all your houseguests will remain clothed this time around . slenle aww, bless her heart! Glad she was able to participate, she should be proud she got it done despite her nerves tallb C is that way about cake pops at the Target Starbucks...girlfriend does not forget. I got her one ONE time and now if I even whisper, "Target", she's asking for a cake pop. B is ambivalent about them but does like an ICEE every now and then. So at least your kid wants a healthy smoothie

flamingo it's only bc she's gluten free! J typically wants a cinnamon roll so this was the only decent option I saw once and it stuck. I was bummed bc I couldn't get myself a froyo, but I hadn't had lunch yet at 2pm, so that wouldn't have been a smart move. I did try to persuade her with an icee but that was a no go. Of course they don't give out straws anymore, so I had to sit and help her slowly drink this giant smoothie for a solid 10 min before she let us leave.

flamingo...yes, one in the same! 😬 It wasn’t during hunting season. That was when he was between houses and bouncing around from place to place while he looked for a house to buy after his sold.

Also not sure what to think about this wedding situation, I'm sorry t though.

I’m pay the registration fee for lo’s school for next year tomorrow. I’m hoping to save up the full fee before school starts to save an extra 5%. It’s getting real.
