Morning. SSDD here. I need to do some actual cleaning today and it sounds like no fun. S and I need to run to kohl’s to pick something up and maybe we will stop by Home Depot to walk around.

Morning! Just work today. I have to go to the gym at lunch...we went to Olive Garden for dinner last night and I had their giant meatball. I only ate about 1/3 of it, and brought the rest for lunch.
I brought my list of stuff to take to round up Friday. One of the requirements is a current physical form. So I'm dumb, is this different than the annual check up they get? I'm assuming if so, I can get them a copy before school starts, I don't need to try to rush her to the doctor before Friday AM?

If this is a thing in your area, I’m assuming the pedi’s in the area have some form you can get from them. Maybe call the doc office to ask about it? Most schools I know just want shot records.

S needed a physical before entering preschool in the public school system . Not sure if that is a Missouri thing or if it’s common everywhere. But there was a form the dr filled out that I took. I can’t remember where I got the form from though. Maybe the DESE website...or the schools. Not sure. But she just had to get it within a month after school started. So she was able to start without it. The dr would have filled it out without an appointment if she had seen her recently...but it had been a while so we had to go in for it. But I wouldn’t wait till too close to school starting because everyone is trying to get in them for their school physical and sports physical.

LO needed a physical to go to Preschool as well. We will just need to send a copy of his vaccinations for kindergarten since we are going to the same school.

It’s C’s Birthday today...and LO is sick. I’m taking E to DC and seeing if my cousin can watch him for a few hours so C and I can still go on our date.

I have to have immunization records (which I can print off online) and current physical. I guess I'll call the pedi's office. They saw her when she was using the bathroom all the time, so January maybe?

Morning!
SSDD here, too. Something came up late at work yesterday and I didn’t get to leave early for the gym. Hoping I can make it today.

They require the form to be filled out 9 months before enrollment process 6 months after school starts, so we will get it filled out at his 6 year appt in Nov. We have had to get city forms filled out annually for preschool, as well as dental forms. I did submit the most recent city form even though it's not the one required.

I'm working aka uniform shopping online. This afternoon I go to the OBGYN to discuss my options. Hopefully I don't have to wait long because my house is a disaster and MH didn't meal plan correctly so I have some things I'd like to get done before picking up the kids.

mwhip we have to have current physicals (within a year) and immunization records in both VA and FL. Here in VA there is a form everyone uses, the schools give them out but you can print online from somewhere, too. I fill out a portion and the pedi takes it and completes it. I’m sure if you googled something like KS state school entry physical form, you could find it.

Morning! Sun is out and it's going to be warmer today, woohoo! I got over my ego and exchanged my shoes for a bigger size and I do love them now! Wearing them today and I think I think they look super cute with cuffed jeans. I want more now so LMk if you want my referral link!
Not much else new. Our lender called and wants to talk refinancing since we apparently "top ticked" the rates in the fall🤦. That's my trying to use finance terms mh uses, ha. I doubt it'd be worth the closing costs at this point, but wouldn't hurt to discuss.

slenle when I was pregnant, my ObGyn told me taking Colace for constipation was okay, it's gentle. Don't take it all the time, but it's okay for occasional use. It was a lifesaver!

tallb we are currently working on a refi. Closing costs are rolled into the loan. The only thing required to pay out of pocket is the cost of the appraisal. At least with the lenders I've spoken to. It's definitely worth a conversation!

slenle do you take a gummy prenatal? Switch to one if not. They don't have iron which causes constipation..and they leave it out of gummies in case kids get into them since too much is dangerous.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to get some to keep on hand. I take miralax every other day, fiber gummies, prunes, etc. finally drank some “smooth move” tea last night which did the trick. tallb, yep, I take gummy prenatals. I’ve avoided iron for this reason, but now I’m borderline anemic. Just can’t win!

Yeah once the Fed announced they weren’t raising rates again this year rates stabilized and started dropping (I stalk them like I stalk real estate, lol). Might be worth it if this is your long term house (but maybe not if you think you’ll only be in it for a few years or less.)

mwhip, for us we had to have the dr fill in a universal health form that had all the basic info. It's actually the same form the DC uses, and the same form S summer camp uses. I actually thought it was nationwide but I guess not! I dropped it off at my drs and they mailed it back. I did it about a month before registration but that was only b/c I was there for an appointment anyway.

Morning!
We made a quick Target run for some plastic bins (my purging/organizing kick continues) and I want to go work on the guest closet; that seems to be our catch-all for stuff that can’t go in the attic. Otherwise no big plans today until B’s golf lesson at 4.

So frustrating but still historically low.. prices are going up though here since more people are hopping back into the market and investors are still buying up stuff. So guess we would have paid more one way or another. He's an older guy and LOVES to talk...so need to mentally prepare for a long chat. I wish he'd just shoot me an email with the details.

tallb I’m new to this world here, but when my SIL were asking us questions when we first started looking and we told her what rates they gave us, she was surprised as to how much lower ours were to theirs when they bought back in August. She never said what rate they got, but I just thought maybe they had different circumstances since they still owned a house in NC. Now that you say this, I’m thinking maybe the rates have dropped quite a bit. ETA: just read flamingo’s response which makes more sense to me now. I feel like I need a class in real estate and mortgage. Lol

They were pretty close to 5 for a lot of last year...it moved around a lot but was never lower than 4.5 for us and we have really good credit😣

Morning.
Took the kids to the park again last night and they had a blast. One of the dads was trying to teach them tennis and X is actually starting to interact more with peers and Atticus’ friends, so that has been fun.
Dude’s BFF’s mom was there and convinced me I need to go home and relax instead of heading to the gym like I had planned. I took her advice and sat around doing absolutely nothing after the kids were in bed and I finished my quiz. Glorious.
Then Miss P was up from midnight- 3. I’m guessing teeth? Pete and I took turns trying to settle her so we’re both wiped out today.

So guess we would have paid more one way or another. He's an older guy and LOVES to talk...so need to mentally prepare for a long chat. I wish he'd just shoot me an email with the details. Yes, very true. My parents’ first house was at 17% back around 1980 😳😳 Our house in FL was 3.75 I think; my sister was at 4 last spring. This fall I was thinking those #s were long gone but we have friends that just got 3.65 (!!!) thru Navy Fed. eta: I was discussing rising rates with my dad last year and he was like, "you're worrying about nothing"; he crunched the #s b/n a 4% and 5% rate on the price point of house we're looking at and it was roughly $100ish/month difference; so not pennies, but doable. Yes, it's more money over the term of the loan, but not enough to really change what kind of house we could afford, if that makes sense. So since then I have tried not to be *overly* concerned, ha, esp. since I have no control over it anyway.
