Lunchables. My mom would rarely pack my lunch because I was eligible for the free school lunches but, any time I was able to convince her to, it was a sad turkey and white bread sandwich. I wished so much to be lunchable rich. The ones with an included dessert?? Family obviously lived in a mansion and had a limo.

I was a little older but if you had actual adidas sneakers and not the four-stripe knockoffs then I wished I was you.

As a teen, if your parents bought you a celica, cabriolet or Mitsubishi eclipse. I lived that Dodge Aries life and was grateful for it. I had a Dodge Neon that I mostly paid for, and I loved that car. My bff had a BMW sports car, she totaled it, her parents got her a Porsche. She totaled that like a month later and they got her an Escalade to “keep her safe”. We had very opposite lives lol.

I also lived the Dodge Aries life that my great aunt gifted my mom(me).Everyone in my rich school drove Sabbs it Volvo’s. I’m also laughing because a Cabrio was my first car I purchased myself, used but I guess I did feel rich in my convertible at 22.

I probably grew up with a slightly off view of wealth, since my parents had money. Not like, millionaires, but they were quite comfortable.
I had a friend with two horses, and to little lucille, that was the height of wealth.

I found myself nodding to most of what has been posted already but I thought of a few more:
Getting a perm done at a salon versus having their mom do it.
Guess acid washed jeans instead of knock off
Real converse hightops

Living in a doorman building. Never having to ride the city bus to school. Birthday party at laser tag place. Eating at California Pizza Kitchen.
Also agree with phone in room and lunchables.

Omg my view of this is so skewed as a military brat. Off-base housing and Blockbuster video vs the Base Exchange video mart?

Diff ages, not in order:
A friend whose house had a room for furniture you couldn’t sit on.
Boats, pools, trampoline
Birthday parties
Teens with cars
Brand clothing or fancy school binders
Having your own room or a playroom (and a tv in your room? OMG!)
Backyard swingset
My size barbie/barbie doll house

Thought of another one, convertible cars.
I didn't know a thing about car brands, still don't, but convertibles seemed so fanceh to me and like only super rich people had them.

In ground swimming pool Owning a horseThis! My friend had one, I was so jealous . My friend had a pool and kept horses. The only person that topped her #richbitch status in my 11yo mind was the friend who’s dad had a collection of vintage rolls Royce’s and Bentley’s and got picked up by the gardener

I probably grew up with a slightly off view of wealth, since my parents had money. Not like, millionaires, but they were quite comfortable. I had a friend with two horses, and to little lucille, that was the height of wealth. Same here. Being an (not wealthy) adult has made me reflect a lot on what I thought were just normal things to have growing up. Edit: my parents were not “buy your 16 year old a brand new car” rich. But they always provided pretty much whatever we wanted, without going to the extremes.

My wealthiest friend had a secret room. It was behind his cabinets in his bathroom. Inside was a little couch and tv with all his gaming consoles. He also had an elevator in his house.

I agree with the pool, finished basement and or a horse.
Also DKNY anything seemed like a big deal.
