Some of our younger crowd may be clueless about the title. It was a one hit wonder by a stellar band called Chumbawumba. The 90s were truly a glorious time.
So what's going on today ladies?

Thank you, inthekitty. That refrain will now be in my head for the remainder of the morning. That was one of the songs that would make everyone scream and run to the dance floor!

Hi!
We’re off to a great start. Forgot M’s backpack so I’m heading back to drop that off before dropping M2 off. His lunch is in his backpack so it was necessary. I’m glad I didn’t plan to go in to work early.

So I just googled that song. I totally know it- lyrics and all- just had no clue it was called tubthumping or who the artist was.

We have been watching 'the 90s' on CNN recently. It makes us feel super old bc it seems not that long ago and we remember everything very clearly...

The college I went to changed names my 2nd year there....19 years ago 😬. Yesterday I had an intern hanging with me at the fire and she’s from the town that I went to college in. So I said, “this might date me a bit, but I went to BAC”. Her response was “what’s BAC”. Definitely made me feel a bit ancient. Lol.

Hi!!! I’m popping in really quick while all my house guests are asleep. I’m having a good time with my sister, even though it’s weird not having my bil here. Definitely getting more insight into the divorce. Also, I love my niece and nephews but they are SO SPOILED! Never say please or thank you, are super demanding, always complain about what we are doing and are always on their iPads. I think my middle nephew thinks I’m mean because he’s the worst and I’ve been calling him out when he’s rude.
Anyway, on that note, I have what I’m sure is a super dumb question for the girl moms. (Hey, I’m new to this!) I need to get Charlotte some warm weather pajamas and a lot of the stuff in her size are two price sets with shorts and a shirt, and then a nightgown. When did your girls start sleeping in nightgowns? Do they get all tangled up?

xolastunicornxo, Cadence refuses nightgowns. We've had a few in the past, but I guess they get pushed up at night, or maybe tangled, so she refuses to wear them.

PDQ My SIL's baby shower is this weekend. It's getting a bit weird for a few reasons. #1 There are 4 of us hosting. Everyone is contributing different things that my SIL's best friend assigned us. Wouldn't it make more sense to keep track of what you're spending and then divide it all up by 4 at the end so it's equal? But for some reason we all had to pitch in equally for this stupid balloon thing that cost $140. #2 The best friend is now having some marriage issues. She saw her H's phone and on some app he was messaging/chatting/sending pics to other men. Apparently he's been cheating on her for a year now. He said he's surprised she wasn't cheating too because they never have sex. #3 Only a few items have been purchased from the baby registry and I know the majority of them were bought by my MIL. I checked her registry today and she's added more clothes like this: It's $48.

tgrimes, that's quite the outfit. Are those avocados or screaming jellybeans? Most registry stuff, unless it's crazy expensive, gets bought the last few days, so maybe more will be bought today and tomorrow.

But most of her stuff are things you'd need to buy at amazon or other websites. Not in stores. I'll send you the link.

xolastunicornxo, L started wearing nightgowns a bit before she turned 2. She loves them! If it's cold I just put leggings or pj pants under them.

xolastunicornxo DD wore nightgowns pretty much exclusively from 1.5-6 and now she won’t wear them. I switched to them because she was small and would trip on the pants of pjs. I used to buy her all the little princess nightgowns at Disney Store.

tgrimes is that an avocado or toilet seat? That's weird. xolastunicornxo Evie started wearing nightgowns probably in the last year or two. I don't particularly like nightgowns myself because they ride up, so I always die the shorts/tshirt route for her. Then she saw them in the store one day and had to have one. They're now her favorites.

Today's opening day for baseball. I'm not sure when I'm leaving, H is supposed to let me know when he leaves work and I'll leave shortly after that. Gates open around 9am here, you can get into the stadium at 1:15, game time is 3:15. Even I realize tailgating from 9 to 3 is a terrible idea. It's also supposed to rain, so we may not stay for much of the game. But Evie is super excited.
I got up at 4:20 to use the elliptical since I'm not going to the gym at lunch. H woke up shortly after and got up for the day since I woke him. Then at 4:30, standing in the kitchen, getting water before going downstairs, Evie comes out of her bedroom. So she should be an absolute peach this afternoon. I wasn't planning on drinking, but have a feeling I'll need a beer at the game to deal with her crappy attitude. Apparently getting up early to exercise is a shit idea in my house!

I also hate that fucking song. I hated it in the 90s, I hate it now...and it's in my head. Time to turn some music on my computer so I don't go insane.

Hi 👋. I’m on the shuttle to work. I had to take C’s car because mine had to get smogged today or I could get tickets starting the first.
S is for sure leaving my old team to be an admin and I’m most likely going back to the old team. I can’t work for someone who doesn’t trust me and doesn’t think paying bills is important. I find out next week.
Work is crazy busy because it’s the end of the quarter and next quarter we shouldn’t spend anything. Plus I’m taking Friday off. I wish these venders were better at getting me invoices. I’m still waiting for some from December.

I'm laughing that a few of you commented on just the registry part and not #2.

tgrimes, #2 is very shocking. Has he been meeting these men or just been sending texts and pics for the past year?

N has also been wearing nightgowns since around 2 and wears them most nights. Lol tgrimes. I was also going to comment on the registry. My SIL has a frustrating registry too. I’m throwing her a shower next weekend (her third shower) and she’s registered for practically nothing. I told her she needs to add more and she added like 5 things. She’s pretty crunchy and minimalist and says they don’t want a lot of baby stuff. Well, you’re having 3 showers. Now you’re just going yo get a bunch of stuff you don’t want or need instead of stuff you pick out.
