Lol can you imagine? The ACT is scored with a max score of 36. The SAT is a max score of 1600. Didn't they increase the SAT scale to 2400 with a writing section? Did they change it back? Yes, it changed back in 2016, I believe.

Ha I don’t even think you could get a 34 on the SATs. If you write your name they’d probably throw you 100 points out of pity.

Lol changing her SAT score from a 1020 to a 1420 is like a full on brain transplant. Yes yes don’t @ me about standardized testing blah blah i just saw part of a transcript on twitter that basically went: Felicity: She keeps saying "i'm gonna keep taking the ACT until I get a 34!" and I'm like UGH NO STOP. She is so annoying with this! Sketchy Guy: Oh, yeah.. ok. Felicity: She's never going to get a 34, but she'll keep trying. Can you just get her a 34 so she stops trying? So it sounds like her kid actually wanted to put in the work and try to get a legit score and she was like...”nah, let’s just buy it.” WTF.

I do feel genuinely bad for any kids that didn't know this was going on. I feel like everything is more embarrassing as a teenager, and if you legitimately had no idea and then this story broke, it would really suck.

I appreciate this opportunity to discuss my achievements in standardized testing in 1999 and how it has lead me down this glamorous path to where I am today. Today, btw, I am home with a sick kid and we have binge watched my little pony. I’m tempted to take these tests just because I love scores and validation. But I’m really busy trying to keep pace on eating an entire box of Ritz crackers, so probably not today.

I got a 32 on my ACT. No one even took it in New England in those days but my college counselor (the one we paid $$$$$ money for) told me that people in other parts of the country take it more frequently and it’s a better measure of actual intelligence versus ability to take a test. So I took it totally blind and killed it. Used it to get myself into schools and didn’t even submit my SAT scores I am annoyed that this private college counselor didn’t just suggest to my parents to buy the best score and save me all this trouble. I need a refund. This is interesting to me because in IL, it is state law that all high school juniors must take the ACT. I didn't even take the SAT. #regional

We just had a giant expose here on campus about cheating...I work where we proctor exams, so this is timely in the content. Cheaters be cheating.
anecdote: I got 35/36 ACT score and a 940 on the SAT...womp, womp. My brother took his SAT stoned and got a 1598/1600 (he still remembers which math question he got wrong, smart ass).

You and I were in opposite ends of the country, I believe, and we were both told that. Barely anyone took it at my high school other than me. Maybe it is middle America doing all the ACT taking?

Speaking as a Minnesotan, can confirm. None of the schools I applied to (all in the Midwest) asked for the SAT, only the ACT. And this was back in the early Oughts. I took the SAT as well because I considered applying to some east coast schools but didn’t follow through. My score on the ACT was significantly higher than my SAT lol.

Lol changing her SAT score from a 1020 to a 1420 is like a full on brain transplant. Yes yes don’t @ me about standardized testing blah blah I think $15,000 for that is a steal if you compare it to private school tuition, especially because this method requires no studying.

In one of the emails, Aunt Becky’s husband disses ASU in the process saying he wants his kid to go to a good school, not ASU. Also their daughter posted all kinds of videos about how she doesn’t care about school and just wants to party. Its nauseating.

Every place I was looking at want ACT, not SAT, so I didn't bother with the SAT. So I got a zero.

Oh man, this quote for the personal statement is ridiculous (I mean, for someone that doesn't play tennis). "“ eing a part of Georgetown women’s tennis team has always been a dream of
mine. For years I have spent three – four hours a day grinding out on and off court workouts
with the hopes of becoming successful enough to play college tennis especially at Georgetown.
What is most amazing is how quickly I connected with Coach Ernst. He spent time with me
while on campus and at several tournaments I played in.”
