What's happening this week?

I am so tired today! Of course, I couldn't fall asleep last night because it felt too early. So I stayed up until 11 and now I feel like I am paying for it. E slept really good last night. He did a great stretch from 7:30-3:00. I am hoping we might finally be turning the corner.

I too couldn't fall asleep last night. ds1 woke up grumpy but ds2 slept in and woke up happy. I have a dentist appointment and then taking ds2 to his ENT consultation. I'm working from home today but I won't get to start working until after 11.

N woke up crying at 2:45, and by the time I got up and got to his room he was already back asleep. It was maybe 4:30 before I did? I don't know how the time change affects that, but I'm blaming it anyway. Pass the caffeine.
H had some work done on his car last week, and I asked him hypothetically what our pain point is with it - it's a 2000 Jeep we inherited from his aunt after she passed and it's slowly falling apart. On Saturday I had to move it to get my car out of the driveway and the brakes were super soft and the light came on. He finally drove it this morning and saw the same thing and took it to the service place down the hill. While he was parking, he hit a barrier (brakes' fault) and now the front corner is messed up as well. Looks like the pain point might come sooner than we thought. Ugh. DNW to be buying a new (to us) car but for what we would spend to fix it, we can get a decent deal on Carfax.
I noticed on my way in that PowerBall is at $448 million... maybe time to buy a ticket? lol

I had no such problems falling asleep. I was out by 930. Of course DS slept like crap so I’ve been awake since 330. DD1 slept til 7 and DD2 until 8 😱.
DD2 was supposed to have an appointment with the nurse today for her immunization (rescheduled from her original 15m appointment), but of course the nurse is out sick today. I’m just going to say eff it and not worry about it til 18m. I’ll play catch up then.
My brother is home today and tomorrow so I will likely drive my hooligans out for an afternoon visit. And then I work the rest of the week, and since it’s March Break all three kids will be going to daycare Tues-Thurs

Morning, had to wake H up this morning to get to daycare and you could tell he was dragging lol. Was majorly Marie Kondoing my house this weekend. The clutter has been driving me crazy so I'm purging big time. Also got to a yoga class and it was amazing! Told MH we need to plan out the week so I can take more.

Didn’t see this post, moving over here:
I didn’t catch up last week until last night. It’s been a week.
Dentist appt on the 1st, she couldn’t feel any bit of molars and commented how his teeth are a bit behind. Come wed night, both top had pierced through. Fast moving, so as you can imagine, he’s been a mess. Coupled with a high fever that Sunday night, he was home and clingy last Tuesday.
This weekend I got way too drunk with dh after the kids were in bed Friday night. 2 day hangovers are the worst!
This morning we all over slept so dh was late to work. DD woke at 7:20 I’m rare form so getting them out the door in 40 mins was tough.
Plus I caught their head cold and was up a lot last night and feel crummy.

Funny story from last night though: I never buy new things for the kids; we are blessed with hand me downs and consignment is perfectly fine. Today, we buy DD a new pair of sparkle shoes for church, and within 5 minutes, I’ve caught her coloring on them with a crayon! She said, “Mom, I was adding laces! Aren’t they pretty?!” 🤦♀️🤷🏼♀️

I also could not sleep. And C was miserable all night and needed constant tending. I'm brutally exhausted today. And my students are off their rockers. So much crazy today. I want to crawl under my desk and sleep.

Hi everyone. Just trying to not be overwhelmed with all the things. DS1 had spring break last week, the middles had wed-fri off, so we pulled them Mon & Tues. We were able to go to my parents for a few days, so that was nice. Now the middles are on spring break and the ground is still covered in snow and yesterday it rained. I'm ready to be able to get the basketball hoop set up and let these kids run around.
Also just trying to figure out when we should move DS3 into the room with DS4. 4 is still in our bed though, so maybe after we get him in his bed more consistently.

I’m here. Overwhelmed. Kid doesn’t sleep. Is a walking mess.
I wanted to go to our church women’s retreat this weekend but DH doesn’t really want to be by himself with 3 kids all weekend. His mom is busy so that doesn’t help. N is still nursing 3x a night so I get how it doesn’t really make sense but I was hoping maybe this could be the start of weaning. I love nursing. But I’m done. I’m ready to not be waking up 27 times a night.

DS2's ears are still a little infected but not too bad. Tubes are scheduled for next week Wednesday. They wanted to do it sooner but there is a remote family history of anesthesia complications so we need to go to the main children's hospital instead of a surgery center and that's when they have an opening. We should get to be one of the first morning cases because of it though and it works out best for my and my H's work schedules.

Ds1 flipped out because I refused to play Candy Land by his "rules" and ds2 threw my shoes in the trash can. Dh had to work late. So ... It's been a day. I have my period so everything seems worse than it is. I couldn't fall asleep either last night. Both kids are playing independently while I heat up chicken nuggets. Though I can see ds2 climbing up shit from the corner of my eye. 🤦🙄

grumpycat, DD2 is a climber and this is new territory for me. She tries to get her leg up on to the couch, the ottoman, HER CRIB. I am like, no, child. The whole point is for you to stay in here! DD1 never did this. Anywho, I think DD2 has DST backwards. She was up earlier than normal just chatting to herself. Not upset, just... awake. But the earlier time felt an hour earlier than that. Why, tho.

Hi everyone! Been busy here. AJ just had his 15m appointment. 78th percentile for weight and 80th for height! Chunky guy. He's strong as fuck too and I had to lay on him for the shots.
Hoping to finish rewatching season 7 of GOT tonight to prepare for April!

thatgolfb ds1 wasn't a climber either. This is all new for us. Ds2's favorite spot is the kitchen table when ds1 doesn't push his chair back in. He gets up there and starts yelling when there isn't any food for him 🙄

+whatever for kid #2 a climber when kid #1 wasn’t.
I don’t remember, but is there a growth spurt around 15 months? E is eating all the things. Also, second time this week he was up for like 2 hours in the night not sleeping but not waking up every 1-2 hours.

C is climbing everything. He climbs on the kitchen chairs then onto the table if we don’t get to him quickly enough. He also crawls up onto the couch and up the back of it so he can turn the light switches on/off. Makes him laugh like crazy.
He seems to be feeling better today. No fevers since 1am this morning. He did throw up his PM dose of Tamiflu though- I think he just doesn’t like how it tastes. I’m feeling better too. Went back to work today and even had enough energy to make dinner, clean the kitchen, and do a load of laundry tonight. Back to my glamorous life 😜

Omg there must be some tall babies here. Jojo tries to climb a lot of things, but is still too short to climb anything other than the Ikea kid chairs. She'd have no chance of getting on a dining chair! Maybe she'd just not flexible enough, haha. Glad things are getting better pootsen! It's raining here and it's the first day of my period, so I have a headache. That's what I'm blaming at least. I was going to go to a friend's to watch the bachelor, but decided to just stay home because I don't feel like driving with a headache.

Yep AJ is a climber too. Must be the November blood 😂 He also climbs up and jumps. No fear pootsen I heard you can mix the Tamiflu with chocolate syrup to help them take it easier if it becomes a problem. I hope he feels 100% very soon

Oh my god, E did it again. Second day in a row when he's woken up at 4 and has not gone back to sleep. This, on top of the constant eating, which is causing the constant pooping, has to be some sort of leap or growth spurt.

DD2 is actually not too tall which is my saving grace- she tries to climb but can’t! Haha. And she is 94%ile for weight but like 58 for height so she can relate to H, laurensc927.🤣 chunky monkey.

DD1 has always been in the 90s for weight but high 90s for height so she is proportional. Hopefully DD2 evens out a bit.

Morning, I was up early trying to get some steps in since I'm going to yoga tonight. Still 8,000 steps behind my coworker but whatever. I've got a yoga class on the schedule for tomorrow night too and I'm very excited!

N did not sleep well last night. Still going to blame the time change lol. Because of that we had a big cry at drop-off this morning. He only does that once in a while, and I know he was fine a few minutes later, but it's still hard to walk away from.
Reading "Happiest Toddler" right now, and feeling bad at how short my fuse is sometimes, especially when I'm tired. One of the suggestions he makes is to get more sleep. REALLY? YOU DON'T SAY.
