Jake Tapper is 50?! My goodness he looks good. The older I get, the younger 50 looks. Isn't that the truth, sob.

Girl, yes. AOC wants big banks that finance fossil fuel companies to be held financially accountable for damage from climate change.

I had a huge argument with H last night about the use of βelectabilityβ and how I feel it is so limiting and itβs a word that moderate democrats use to dismiss βtoo liberalβ ideas or candidates outside the dominant norm. And he feels βelectabilityβ is a real thing and we should really pay attention to it because if we donβt weβll end up losing again. And then when I interrupted him a few times during this heated discussion he said he βfelt silencedβ and I had a VERY sarcastic response to that. So that didnβt go very well. One of the PSA episodes (yesterday's or last week, can't remember) had a good discussion on electability and how the term is essentially meaningless anymore. They referenced this article on Buzzfeed that I thought was interesting: www.buzzfeednews.com/article/mollyhensleyclancy/democrats-2020-electability-president

A giant leap for woman-kind I'd say! This pleases me. For some reason my 6 year old really dug in on βwomen canβt be astronautsβ last week when we discussed international womenβs day. Iβve since proven him wrong and heβs conceded. π€£

I'm reading the transcript of Lisa Page's testimony to Congress. I'm very impressed with her.
Mark Meadows is a moron.

What's kind of interesting about this story is that Shameless had a storyline where Lip was taking SAT tests for others. Felicity Huffman's husband is also on that show, is it a case of life reflecting art?

It cracks me up to see the internet referring to William H. Macy as "Felicity Huffman's husband."

A giant leap for woman-kind I'd say! I love this! I wanted to be an astronaut so badly as a kid and then I realized I sucked at science. I didn't have anyone encourage me to keep trying and it's always been a big regret that I didn't try harder or for longer. I could have walked on Mars, damn it! (probably not, given the playing field, my failure to understand chemistry concepts and my small state college education, but still!)

The Challenger exploded about 3 weeks before I was born, but she was a MA girl like myself and I really identified with that.

I was too scared of getting on a rocket to want to be an astronaut, but NASA played a very large role in shaping where I am today.

I mean, I still have a Neil deGrasse Tyson signed copy of Space Chronicles, lol. Just the thought of how friggen BIG the universe is still regularly blows my mind. And the thought that a woman might be the first person on a new planet gives me a lot of hope for girls in the future.

we have a Buzz Aldrin elementary school in the DC Area. I interviewed there (too far from the city tho). Apparently Buzz Aldrin came to their science fair every year.
to my knowledge, he did not punch anyone in the face at school.
