That’s why I wouldn’t link the article. I refuse. It’s really upsetting me how far they are taking this “infanticide” line. It is going to get someone killed and it is a horrible insult to the people how have walked these path as parents and medical providers. What's wildest to me is that many of the families that would be most adversely impacted are families who have chosen to continue a pregnancy, despite knowing the outcome, and given birth, which is what I've seen held up time and time again in anti-choice circles as the "right" thing to do in these circumstances. It has nothing to do with principle or reality, but with demonizing the left in order to rile up the most ignorant in their voter base. Right? It’s like they’ve done the calculation that these events are rare and they can alienate that small percentage of people who have actually experienced said tragedy in order to whip up enthusiasm in a larger number of voters. It’s absolutely sick.

Mitt Romney *is* a cake made out of Twinkies. Also, he had no idea how to interact with a birthday cake. How does he so consistently not know how to person? I laughed out loud watching him, but I assume he was being kind enough to not blow his breath germs all over the twinkies. I would appreciate that if I was one of his staff expected to eat one, and I'm far from a germaphobe.

Ok, the plane thing is really not funny, but this made me laugh.
It’s also pretty evergreen.

The HHS Secretary is going before a House subcommittee today to talk about Dear Leader's budget proposal. I have a feeling he might get a few question about what's happening at the border.

I'm playing catch up at my desk after being gone yesterday so I'm checking in sporadically.
I'm also listening to WF try to crawl out of the pit they've dug

@heartbot I said it was an AC it’s actually an AD (airworthiness directive). But considering your technical knowledge I’m sure you knew what I meant. But the AD was a software installation requirement (MCAS) in addition to training.
I feel nit picky here, but it’s important to also understand the quality of the hours. I’m not speculating on quality or quantity of hours in the Lion Air crash, I do feel it’s important to point out in both accidents.
The Lion Air aircraft had a MX delay the day before and after cleared to fly, during flight it had issues maintaining altitude, it was not a smooth flight. After that flight it spent the night in maintenance, was released and crashed the next day.
At this point I’ll be curious to see if FAA pulls the aircraft. Of course the FAA is investigating in conjunction with the NTSB. They will do their investigation and receive the recommendations from the NTSB and compare notes because American lives were lost and because the aircraft used is in service in the US.
We’re all in this together to be safer.

This is so weird. If you have unlimited money, just force your kid to take a test prep class. There are so many good colleges out there if you're 'full pay'.

I'm glad FAA and NTSB are investigating. It's almost as if the federal government provides important, life saving services

Also I have been deep in a West Wing re-watch lately. Same. Re-watching Matt Santos' butt. I re-watched originally into season 4 and then went back again. I just watched the episode where CJ has emergency root canal surgery and keeps saying "Pwesident" and "Pwess Bwiefing" and Josh fucks everything up with the President's secret plan to fight inflation. Lol forever.

::snort:: my boo is awesome Want to take $60 million in vacations, and have the federal government pay your resort $400,000 for the privilege?* You can, if you're the President of the United States! *Offer not valid for those who abide by the emoluments clause or basic ethical standards. t.co/LRX4sG0nfW

It's almost as if the federal government provides important, life saving services Well, they wouldn’t be if American lives weren’t lost and if the aircraft was not considered part of the problem... so it’s not an automatic that they investigate when there’s an accident outside the US, and under a foreign airline.

I had a huge argument with H last night about the use of “electability” and how I feel it is so limiting and it’s a word that moderate democrats use to dismiss “too liberal” ideas or candidates outside the dominant norm. And he feels “electability” is a real thing and we should really pay attention to it because if we don’t we’ll end up losing again.
And then when I interrupted him a few times during this heated discussion he said he “felt silenced” and I had a VERY sarcastic response to that. So that didn’t go very well.
