What’s everyone doing these days? Any new workout classes/routines? Training for anything? Diet changes?

👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
I’m here. I’m about 6 weeks into my OTF transformation challenge. I have been doing macros and I’m seeing some progress. I do OTF 4-5 times per week, plus occasional Peloton rides. So far in 6 weeks I have lost about 4-5 lb and some inches. Hoping it will be 8 by the end of the challenge. I am seeing some muscle definition that wasn’t there before.
Overall I’m pretty happy with how things are going!

Running 6-7 days a week, boot camp class once a week, plus I do weights at home on days I do short runs. I'm doing a 4 mile shamrock run on Saturday with boot camp friends. I might find a spring 5k and 10k and shoot for new PRs on both since I seem to be hitting another increase in speed right now. I'd like to do a summer half marathon too to keep motivated while we get busy moving.
I'm tracking macros and lost about half of what I put on over the holidays while also sick and down for surgery. Hoping to shake the rest of it this month.

thatgolfb, OTF sounds like something I’d like. The closest to me is about 35 mins away though, so it’s not a great option for me. I’m so bad at cross training when I’m upping my running mileage. I need to find something I can stick with. cnf, that’s a lot of running! It’s been more like 4 days a week for me. I’m hoping to up that again as it continues to stay lighter out later. I ran a half two weeks ago and have another on St Patrick’s Day. I’m good with the miles, so I’ve been focusing on running hills since they did me in the last time I ran this March half.

So I really need to start something. But I never start or stick to it. Ugh. I hate myself for that. I’d ideally like to find some sort of workout video that allows me to do it at home in like 30 minutes or less.
I did P90X back in my pre-kid days and actually enjoyed it. But don’t have that time these days.
Something small to start.

bethkate, I have a treadmill at home and since I run at 430am before work I can't do more than 2-4 miles most days, so it's easy enough to hit lots of days. If I could do the same weekly mileage over less days I would! ...or not because I love running, lol.

I’d get so many more miles in during the week that way, especially in the winter.

I’d get so many more miles in during the week that way, especially in the winter. I'd die without my treadmill. It's basically the only reason we hired movers when we moved from our last house. And why we considered building a walkout in our new house. The one we own is a freaking bohemoth and I love it. Since you're also a pretty diehard runner I'd definitely suggest it as a worthwhile investment. Even just the time saved in traveling to and from the gym is huge. The money over the long run is great too. And never worrying about the weather. We gated off a big section of our basement and filled it with toys and the girls happily play while I run when I run later in the day than 4am, lol.

I've been doing pole every other day. I want to begin private lessons soon cause I feel like I've halted my experience level.
I think I need to start something else though cause I can't seem to lose my pouch or my hip dips. Maybe more cardio? Or weights? Idk but I do know I hate running so that's not happening lol

cnf, that’s pretty much what I’m envisioning. I could put a tv down there and some toys, and we’d be good. I’d rather run outside 99% of the time, but I’m not comfortable running in the dark with the stroller, and sometimes it’s just too cold for her too, so it’d be a lifesaver in the winter.

I personally will run in anything but I won't take the girls out in the dark or the weather if it's raining or too cold, the treadmill is a life saver. I also am not comfortable running outside at 4am so there's that too, given that's really my only option during the week.

I don’t go here right now. I’m a lazy, fat mess. BUT when I get back from our vacation I am going to start weight watchers. So, I’ll be back.
But for now I’m going to eat some fried rice and girl scout cookies.

I do great in the beginning but fall off the wagon before I know it.

I have terrible saddle bags. Does anyone have an easy and quick workout that I could do while watching TV to help tighten those muscles?

I did it with him after kid #1 and it was manageable. I hated committing to every day though. But if you liked P90X I think you would like this one.

I finally signed up for a group workout program starting next week. It’s designed for moms and is 2 classes a week plus meal planning and group accountability. I’m hoping it works and I love it because I can not motivate myself to do anything on my own.

I kind of go here. I successfully did dry January and lost 10 lbs. Now I stick to one glass of wine an evening Friday/Saturday. My in laws were visiting the other week and I had two glasses. I had ridiculous stomach issues the next day so I have no desire to repeat that. I've lost 5 more lbs since the end of January. So I'm back at a weight I feel good at (pre ds1), but need to start exercising (which I hate) to work on muscle development/maintenance. Ds2 is down to 3-4 nursing sessions so I've lost the breastfeeding hunger. That's helped with portion control. I joined the neighborhood gym but haven't gone yet because I don't have supportive shoes lmao. It's on my list 🤷

Have you looked at Jamie Eason workouts? They are pretty quick and effective. This is the one I like to do.

I have been drinking less wine and I realized it was more habit to have a glass than anything else. I plan not to have any until after my challenge ends at this point. Also, I love my Under Armour shoes and there are a ton on the outlet site right now.

I was so incredibly stressed out from ds1's behavior at school. And then I'd eat like a second portion of dinner plus snacks. One of the things I read said "it's not wine that's making you fat, it's the pizza you are eating when you get drunk" lol.

I ran 2 miles this morning and so far my food is decent. Hopefully I can stick to my food plan. My period has been making me hungry and have bad cravings.

But no idea if it is attributed to a period. I think Mirena causes me not to get one (I have had spotting that I think is the start of a period, but that's about it). But yeah, I want to eat everything today.

I also have a mirena and my body doesn't give two shits. I still get a period every 25 days like clockwork, same as I've been getting for 19 years now. Sigh.
