I signed up for one of Bikini Body Mommy's 90 day challenges and fell off the wagon when I got sick. A friend was doing weight watchers and I signed up too a few weeks ago because I knew I wasn't eating well. Now 2 more friends and a coworker are doing it too which is great for motivation. It's really helped me reassess my eating and keep myself on track. As of this morning I'm 1.2 lbs away from a 10lb loss. Got to a yoga class this weekend and it was amazing, planned out how to get to 2 more this week. I'm also in a fitbit step challenge with co workers so that should keep me moving at night and off the couch. I'm hoping to add some Bikini Body Mommy workouts back in the mornings before work. I loved being able to roll out of bed and do them before my day started.

How does someone get 26,000 steps on a day when you are working at a desk from 9-5. Needless to say I am not currently winning the step challenge with my co workers lol.

I did a step challenge at work this summer and there was a prize for the first person to get 30,000 in a day and someone got it the first day. What?! I feel like if you’re that active you don’t really need a challenge.

Days I break those kinds of numbers are days where I run double digits miles and have a productive day. Either someone ran a half marathon before work or they put their Fitbit on tumble in the drier.

Ha! Seriously. I got around that last Saturday, and it took a 10 mile run, grocery shopping, and lots of laundry to accomplish it.

This is not someone who runs lol. She said she did walk her dog for an hour that night, i also think she's not sitting at her desk as much as she says she is. I've walked 10-15,000 everyday and she's still 20,000 ahead this challenge.

For 26,000 and a desk job, she’s gotta be just shaking her Fitbit all day...lol

I've gone to happy hour two nights in a row, drinking and eating bar food. Today we're going to our local parade with friends then to a party this evening, so more drinking and eating. I'll need a complete raw lettuce reset after this, woof.

Hi. I need to go here. I was half-assedly tracking calories/macros, but then we went to Vegas, and then I got super sick and had 0 appetite for a week (didn’t lose any weight though...) and now we are going to Florida for a week. I’m definitely not complaining about our vacations, but it does make it harder to stay on track. We’re staying in a house and making most of our meals though, so I’m still going to try to log everything. I’ll hopefully get in tons of activity with swimming with the boys and will hopefully be able to get out for a few runs/workouts.

I am copying and pasting my AW from my other BMB. I have a fitness update/brag to share today. I weighed in for my OTF 8 week challenge this morning and the scale was not really reflective of my real moving average that I had been seeing, which was a bit discouraging. I think I lost more like 5 lb, but the scale there said 3 lb (which is still a loss, so that's fine). Our scales had been very close together previously, so I think I was just bloated, but oh well. Then I went to my work gym for an ultrasound body comp (we get them free which is awesome). Their scale also said 3 lb lost. BUT. In the 8 weeks since I started the challenge, I went from 32.2% body fat to 28.9%. According to their analyzer, I gained 4 lb of lean muscle and lost 7 lb of fat. I had taken measurements and I did see some inches lost as well, but I wasn't anticipating that much of a change. So today's lesson is that the scale is just a big mean jerk sometimes. I was sort of starting lose motivation and veer into old habits, but seeing that tangible progress really helped a lot.

thatgolfb, awesome job!! Congrats on your progress! You’re right that the scale is a jerk. I can fluctuate 3lbs from one day to the next sometimes, so it’s a good reminder that it’s not the best indicator of progress.

I’ll AW too. I kicked butt at my half marathon yesterday. I ran almost 4 minutes faster than any half since having E, and I was only 40 seconds shy of a new PR. And this course is HARD. I was ecstatic when i saw my time at the finish! I then proceeded to register for my 10th half in May as soon as I got home. haha

Awesome updates everyone! Thanks for the reminder about the scale, thatgolfb. One week into my workouts and I haven’t lost any weight, not that I was expecting a huge change but meh. I tried meal planning for this week, we’ll see how it goes. I’ve been really lazy about cooking real food so I’m hoping this helps.

Or similar repetitive motions can register as steps. I find it VERY hard to believe someone who doesn't run can get that many steps a day. Even if she is walking throughout the day, she would have to be walking A LOT.

Her Fitbit must have been reading something wrong because this Monday was a similar day and she had 15000 steps.

Even an hour walk with her dog would be somewhere between like 2-4 miles which would be somewhere in the range of 2500-5000 steps. So still a far cry from 20k. I ran two miles this morning, walked half a mile with the girls, and worked on my feet all day in a three story building and I'm at just shy of 13k steps, for perspective.

Oh well H and I have our kid free vacation starting Sunday, and I will be drinking at approximately 7 am when our flight is in the air, so... I will be off the wagon for a week! Haha.
