Ash Wednesday is the 6th (this coming Wednesday), in the fitness world this is when people re-commit to their New Year's Resolutions. I've been maintaining these last 2 months but I really need to get my butt back in gear, whose (who's?) with me? Summer in only 16 weeks away!?! (I'm rounding up 15.71)

I’m here! 🙋♀️
I started back on keto this week and lost 5.5lbs. But then completely fell off the wagon today. But I’m back on tomorrow so I’m considering today a cheat day. I have about 25 lbs to lose. I’d like to lose these by my SIL’s wedding Memorial Day weekend but if not then by my birthday in July (which is probably more realistic).

Well I just joined the gym so I'm here. I want to commit to going at least 3 times a week, but will strive for more than that.

I’m here. After letting myself eat whatever I wanted Thursday and Friday my body revolted so I’m back on healthy eating wagon again until the next spectacular dive off. I’ve been keeping up with my 6 HIIT workouts a week for the time being. A few weeks I manage to hit every single day, but most weeks there’s a day in there where I just can’t make it happen. I’m find myself modifying moves more and more and taking breaks to bring my heart rate down a lot more often in the last couple of weeks.
I’m +15 pounds which is hard to wrap my brain around sometimes, but exactly where I should be gain-wise. I’m working as hard as I can now so that postpartum me has less catch up to do and I’m thankful that my body is cooperating in such a way that I want to and can eat well and be very active.

Only during specific hours but I'm fine with that. sophiegrace leg day was good. I feel pretty wobbly this morning lol. I had to get mad with DH though. He kept pushing me to do higher weights than I was comfortable with. I was like "this is my first time doing these exercises, I want to make sure I know what I'm doing and do them right before I start maxing out my weight and end up getting injured because of bad form or something". Plus I'd much rather do extra reps at lower weight than be struggling and shaking with heavier weight.

I’m past my PP checkup so I guess now I have no more excuses not to exercise 😆
So far I haven’t done anything structured, but I’ve been taking the kids for walks, wearing V a ton, etc. Sometimes I do squats and/or dance while wearing him lol! And I hit my step goal every day now (which almost never happened when I was working).
I’m not sure yet where in my day to try to add a workout. V’s sleep still is too unpredictable for me to commit to waking up early to squeeze it in, and I’m still sleep deprived enough that I need to seize the chance to nap any time all three kids go down in the afternoon.
I have been really good about getting in veggies and cooking a lot at home. I had major aversions to vegetables during pregnancy so it feels good to enjoy them again! I also have been dairy free for a week and I think it’s making a difference in V, and I definitely am less bloated and have to be more mindful of what I’m eating.

dashook when I was ready to exercise after H I legit had to just do short 15 minute videos. Sleep was too insane and he was way too needy for me to even consider anything more than that.

I’m here. Spring is always my “ouch” moment.. when I realize short sleeves are right around the corner. That said, I forgot March was here an made ya a delicious pot of Jambalaya last night.. So we will be eating that the next couple days.
I did just have an open face sandwich consisting of Dave’s killer bread, chicken breast, and loaded with veggies, no condiments. So I’m really patting myself on the back. The alternative was a cupcake that MH brought home Friday night.
Our gym shut down so I’m in this holding pattern of trying to decide what gym to next commit to. I’m really thinking Planet Fitnes, it’s not my favorite but they have the circuit and their showers are some of the cleanest among the options. So I could theoretically do 2 miles run, circuit, shower and be out within the hour - this is attractive at this point in life.
An I can’t wait to start walking as a family again. Except the kids won’t go in a stroller so that will be interesting.

I got our ancient Wii working today and did an hour+ of Just Dance 4. Omg. I missed this so much. Now I know what I’ll be doing during naptime from now on!

I'm here.
I was less than a pound away from the next decade on Sunday morning.
But then I ate almost 2 boxes of girl scout cookies and an entire bag of Cadbury mini eggs yesterday and then had 2 slices of pizza at lunch today.
Tomorrow is a fasting day.

I can’t snack responsibly. It’s either 100% on point with my diet or burn it down mode. Probably why I have to be so regimented with myself. I would kill for Cadbury mini eggs.

I'm coming to the realization that I can't let myself have little treats here or there. I either need to stay away from the completely or I need to eat the whole entire cake. There is no such thing as moderation when it comes to sweets for me.

Would she like Just Dance? Yes! It’s so much fun. You basically just watch the screen and try to mirror what the dancer is doing.

jubilantsquirrel I am also like that with sweets. About 10 yers who I gave up all sugar for Lent. After it was over, I had ZERO interest in sugar and probably a good year I really had no interest. Then one day, it came flooding back. I’m guessing it was due to a break up or something lol

Had a great workout today. I really pushed myself and am getting a better feel for what I'm actually capable of. So that's pretty awesome. I also sent DH my list of the machines I used, how much weight on them, reps, etc and he was really impressed so that was a good confidence boost.

I’m here and recommitting to my diet during lent. I was down 6 from the Jan 1 and am back 4 of those 6, so I need to focus. I added in a tues workout, so I’m happy with my 3x a week and hopefully as the weather gets better, I’ll be outside more and walking more. My diet is where everything goes to shit. I really should hire someone to slap my hand anytime I eat something I shouldn’t or eat too big of a portion.
Here’s what I typically eat Mon-Thurs Breakfast - cottage cheese Am snack - banana Lunch - salad kit, the kind you get in produce at the grocery store Pm snack - some type of veggie, a cheese (usually Baby Bell or Laughing Cow wedge), pretzel chips Dinner - varies
Weekends - my diet goes to shit
I know I need to lock it down on weekends, and I’m thinking cut waaaay back on portions at dinners. Anything else I can do?
My goal is to drink 100oz of water while I’m at work.
My pants are tight and my first goal is to get those fitting me well again.

I am not a breakfast person anymore, I rarely wake up hungry. So it's easy for me to fast until lunch time. I wake up and drink a bottle of water, have coffee (I have been using just a tbsp of heavy cream) and that's it until lunch (besides more water of course). Skipping a meal helps me eat way less throughout the day. Since I have been fasting I am also less snacky and less hungry throughout the day. Maybe on the weekends you could try it. It's also easy when your busy and running around because you're not thinking about food.

tjanca22 I use M’s ikea kids plates and bowls for portion control. It’s quite depressing to see an actual serving on regular size stuff.

I was doing this before Christmas on nights when the kids had swim lessons since those nights were so busy anyways, and I didn’t even notice. You’re 100% right that keeping busy makes me not think about food. The kids are going to start swim again in April and I’ll have to try it again. Doing it on a weekend day would be tough, but I know it would help with my calorie intake. Damn fat cells, just go away already

Im going to start doing this immediately. I might also start putting the measuring cups on the counter as a reminder for myself and to even portion out a 1/2 cup or a cup or something rather than eyeball.

I started it years ago when I’d want cereal and then one day it clicked that I could do it with all my food.
