I woke up sick. I'm so annoyed. And my PGAL brain can't help but to freak a little bit. On top of that, whenever I have to stand up or walk, or move my lower half my left side of my pelvic area hurts... like I wonder if my placenta is ripping off.... I'm generally losing my mind. Is this normal??

Well I didn’t pass out for my gtt, but my blood pressure is high so now I get to do a 24hr urine collection and then another blood draw. Does anyone have experience with pre-eclampsia?

How high was it? Any chance it was just nerves from the test? It was 140/90 when the nurse checked and 140/100 when the OB did. Which I think is borderlineish from my googling? She said it may have been nerves when I brought it up, but wants to be sure. They will recheck my blood pressure when I go back in Thursday, along with the other stuff.

Oh no, mamabear02! Hopefully since it’s borderline now it looks better when they recheck.

lolacachia, I have odd muscle pains that freak me out too. It's so hard not to worry. Sometimes I get braxton hicks when I stand up and they're bad enough to make me sit back down and panic. Lots of water and rest is what my OB recommended. mamabear02, I tested high at my last appt and they did some extra bloodwork, it came back ok so I didn't have to do the 24 hour collection. Mine was just a little high because of hurrying to get to the appointment and everything, then stayed high because I was nervous. Then today the nurse took it and it was 160/100 and I was freaked, but she took it again with a machine and it came back 126/76. There's some room for error, so hopefully everything comes back good for you on Thursday!

As a pregnant woman who pees about a million times a day, this whole collecting it every time is incredibly lame. I’m somewhere between being mad and glad that they are being cautious.
Also it is pretty much keeping us near the house all day, which we’ve been trapped in all week because DS is sick. I’m sick of winter.

I got my glucose test back, but just the results. I checked them against my last results and everything is higher, but both tests were within parameters?
So I've learned nothing. Lol. But I bet I failed. They'll call sometime today and I'll know. They were hopeful about having the local hospital administer the 3 hour test rather than going back to Denver this week.

How confusing- why did you have to retake it if it was within the parameters? I had to have the 3hr test with my first bc it was I think 139 or 140, which is just barely high—- I passed the 3hr. I just got my results and I was at 114 - which I’m assuming means I passed? I haven’t gotten a call saying otherwise yet.

Well apparently they did two different blood tests, and the one I got this morning was for other stuff. I wondered why there wasn't a clear cut glucose number, lol. But I just now got the actual glucose numbers back, it was 124, last time it was 133 and they made me take the 3 hr, but I bet this time it was low enough. 139 is the top number for my test. I might have cleared it this time.

I officially passed my glucose test and my blood pressure was in a normal range today! As long as the other tests come back okay, I should be in the clear for now!

I managed to get DS's birthday cake made. I used my giant sheet pan and SOMEHOW managed to get one half on top of the other without destroying them. I don't know how. But then my mixer bit it so I can't finish it until tomorrow but it's just making more icing and decorating.
Can't believe he's two.

A mom at my kids daycare was due within days of me (I am 30 weeks and 1 day now). She had the baby a couple days ago. How scarry. Apparently baby is doing pretty well though, other than being on cpap (sp?) because lungs were not quite ready. I am do happy to hear the baby is doing so well. It is so scarry though, and I am glad to still be pregnant.

Anyone else having serious issues sleeping? I wake up around 3:15am every morning, and can not fall back asleep to save my life till around 6, when I need to start getting up. Then I am nodding off all day at work. I take natural calm (magnesium) that used to help me sleep, but that is not helping any all anymore. I can not live the next 9 or so weeks like this. And I have been working out latley, so that should be helping me sleep as well.

courtniko, I’m still on Bonjesta, which helps knock me out. Can you talk to your doctor about trying Unisom? The main ingredient in Unisom is also the part about Bonjesta that helps me sleep.

I have a weird feeling I'm going to fail my GTT. I'm dreading it. Just don’t give yourself high blood pressure stressing about it 😉 I'm sure I will. The week my weight jumped up so did my BP. And at my 12 week with using the Doppler and finding out if baby had made it. After all we have been through together I think my Dr has a BP chart of normal specific to me to let him know when he actually needs to worry 😂 My favorite was when he said your pulse is in the 120's. I can't find the baby's if yours is in my way. Please calm it down.

Colorado peeps, what's it look like in Denver with this storm coming? Everything is closing out here on the plains, there was a mini hurricane this morning but right now it's calm and almost sort of nice. We're supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow, and I've never seen people react like this to a forecast before. Every school in the surrounding counties has been shut down preemptively, flights have been canceled, and my mom's office told people not to come in and it's in Denver.
Crazy. We got our generator ready to go, I have my water storage, all my if-the-power-goes-out planning done, and the cows are in the north pasture. All this, and it's... pleasant out. Supposedly by noon it'll be bad?
