I tried posting in the MOTN thread last night, but the tapatalk app doesn't recognize my login info and the mobile browser page sucks. Was not able to sleep for a large portion of the night. My uncle passed away yesterday, while working a shift (he's a police officer). He lived out of state so I can't attend next week's services out there. They are planning something for home though later in the month or next month.
I also think part of the reason I couldn't sleep is because I may or may not be having a c-section today. Appt with MFM to find out is at 9:30. Eep.

grover i am sorry for your loss. That is a lot to have on your mind for today. You are so close to having those two babies good luck today whatever happens. @ges072115 my coworker said i looked like i had dropped yesterday....this kid is still kicking under my ribs...so maybe my stomach muscles are just done with holding up the weight. I actually have no real idea if i have dropped or not position wise this baby feels alot different than my other 2, i never felt them kick much above my belly button. This one is so much higher.

I pulled something in my groin last night rolling over in bed and holy fuck does it hurt. I ended up jumping in the bathtub at like 2am because 1. insomnia and 2. floating for a while takes so much pressure off. I think I've reached the point of pregnancy where I am just ooooooover this.
In funnier news, H called and asked if I needed more panty liners, because he noticed I only had a few left and "are you not... um.. leaking... discharging... um.. do you need more?" LOL. Poor guy. So sweet. Such an awkward turtle.

Aahhhh congratulations on your little boy bex15! Iām so sorry for your loss grover! Big hugs! Hās grandmother is in Hospice and unresponsive, so Iām sure it wonāt be long for her. I also canāt travel, so I wonāt be able to see her. She wonāt get to meet our baby girl. Itās so sad. I had my OB appt today. Iām 1-2cm dilated, 50% effaced, and my OB canāt push babyās head out of my pelvis, so I am happy about that. My BP was up again, not terrible. 133/92. Weāre going in Sunday evening to start the induction unless I go into labor before that.

Those with csections a question. When did you drive again? I can't remember what I did with DD. I feel like I waited at least 3 weeks but I remember thinking I could have done it sooner.

My restrictions said to wait 2 weeks but both times I drove before that š¤· I wasn't taking the pain pills anymore either time though.

tapdancer, My doc said as long as I'm not taking any norco and feel comfortable driving and comfortable with possibly having to hit the brakes hard.

So I am āCo-hostingā a bridal shower in May for my Hās cousin. I put that in quotes because itās with my MIL and 2 SILs who all love close together and they basically do all the work and tell me what my share of the cost is. Assuming I donāt deliver early, I will be 6 weeks out from c-section.
Would you drive 4.5 hours to the shower? Iād also probably have to bring the baby to the shower because Iām planning on breastfeeding and wouldnāt have a pump stash by then. So lots of relatives that potentially might want to hold baby. Itās Memorial Day weekend so H and D1 would definitely come because she love, loves spending time with all her cousins.

But zero part of me would want to drive a 9 hour round trip with a newborn. Hardest pass. What if they get inexplicably fussy halfway through and youāre stuck solo driving through the saddest wailing cries, or pulled over trying to comfort them? I could be clouded in my judgement by my normally chill dude having a very inexplicably fussy morning.

I have no personal experience of what having a baby is like, especially having a c section, but I would probably go to the shower jacks. Your H could drive, and you could sit in the back with the baby in case they get fussy. 4.5 hours is a long drive, but as long as your H goes with you I think itās definitely doable.

Well, we go in this evening for induction. Iām super excited, but Iām getting more nervous as time gets closer. Weāre relaxing at home, finishing up some laundry, and just trying to enjoy our last day as just the two of us. H says heās more excited than nervous. I canāt wait to see him hold our daughter! Heās going to be such an amazing daddy.
