Oh thanks! I love that first one. I like that it’ll help keep my stomach hidden for now! It had good reviews too.

Sorry I haven't been around much, we came home Thursday and it is HECTIC!
Things are going well, we had a weight check at the pediatrician yesterday and they are both on the upswing.
So far my supply has been really good, we're doing a lot of pumping because it takes so long to feed 2 at the breast when they are this little. If I did both twins I don't think I would ever sleep. So we've gotten into a routine of me breastfeeding one while my H feeds the other a bottle of pumped milk, then I pump after, OR at night so we can sleep I pump first while he's doing both diapers and then we both bottle feed and then put them back down.
I eventually want to tandem and nurse at the breast as much as possible, but tandem is so hard when they don't have any neck control! Plus engorgement issues, etc. Luckily they have a strong suck.
We were all getting frustrating so the bottle feeding seems to be helping and I feel good and more relaxed about it all.

I'm glad things are going well Eames and you are all adjusting! I can only imagine how difficult nursing two at once would be, but it sounds like you've got a good system down already!

I’m having a baby on Monday. 😬
So today is when we are trying to get as much done as possible.
Also, I’m debating on letting ds1 stay home from kindergarten on Monday. I have to be at the hospital before he even gets on the bus so it would be up to my mom to do that all.. but at the same time they won’t be coming down until after he would be home from school anyways. He’s missed school quite a few days from Asthma attacks but they’re all excused since we always end up ieither at the doctors or in the hospital. Does anyone have thoughts?
Oh AND they moved my c-section up to the 10:30 spot but we aren’t telling many people so they won’t expect texts until later in the day anyways. 🙌🏼

That way he can be distracted and everything there. So exciting to be having a baby on Monday!! Good luck!

haleyscott I would send him to school, but my DD thrives on routine. While I was in the hospital, my dad stayed with her and still sent her in daily, mostly so it wasn't quite such a long day for him (I don't think he's used to her energy needs, lol). Also, SO EXCITING MOAR SQUISHES!!! Good luck on Monday, hope it all goes smoothly. My c section was scheduled and it was so much less stressful than my first unplanned one.

I think I would send to school too, to keep him on a schedule and make it a little easier on your mom during the day. But that's with my kid/mom in mind, I might ask my mom what she'd prefer too since she'll be in charge that day.

Ok you guys I’m trying to get everything ready for baby. How many sleepers did you have and up to how many months did you wash and put away? I have quite a bit of 3 mo but not much of the nb/ 0-3 stuff.

remi We have 3 sleep sacks and probably 4-5 soft/fleecy pajamas. Sleep sacks are 0-6 months. I think we only have 1 newborn pajama onesie thing and the others are 0-3. We have washed everything newborn, everything 0-3, and some (half?) of the 3 month clothes.

Actually through 6/9 months although some is in a Rubbermaid tub, it just all got washed. We have maybe 5-10 sleepers? But we do a load of laundry every day between the 4 of us now so we don't really *need* that many. I think 3 swaddle sacks would be plenty as well, although we have more because they were handed down. But we use the same one for a few nights unless he spits up on it.

We’re at our birth class today, when we got there they had the Beaches soundtrack on which is so random but that’s one of my favorite movies and I started crying like the crazy person I am right now.

Thanks everyone! I’m going to plan on sending him to school. I think it’s best to stick to his routine. I don’t know why I’m nervous about it. My mom gets my niece on the bus almost every day. I think I’m just trying to focus on everything I can control.
Plus this week is a “spirit week” where they have a dress up day and take in money to donate every day too.
I 100% wrote up instructions and a daily itinerary for this week so hopefully it goes smoothly. 🤷🏻♀️

haleyscott I’m late to this question but I’d also send him to school. Like others my DD thrives on routine (like, if I drop her off at daycare after the preschoolers line up to walk back to their room, she screams “we’re late!” and her whole day is off.) Good luck on Monday!

remi I have like 6 sleepers for T but we seem to go through most of them in a day because of spit up or diaper leaks. I just did a SOS for some more NB clothes on my Facebook page. T is staying a lot smaller for longer than his brothers!

Do any of you other c section mamas have a belly binder? The hospital gave me one, but I didn't really ask about how long to wear it. Like all day? Take off at night? Just if I'm moving around a lot?

I was given one with ds2. I faintly remember them telling me to take breaks from wearing it... which I didn’t really do. Sorry I’m no help. Tomorrow I can hopefully answer that! I have my fingers crossed they give me another one.

I do and I wear it most of the day, even still, because I hate feeling like jelly without it. They didn't really give me instructions, I just remembered I wore it for a week or two after E. Now I'll take it off for a few hours in the afternoon or evening just to let it breathe when I'm sitting around the house. I feel like I "need" it more when I'm up and about, and at night when I'm rolling around and getting in/out of bed.

I didn’t like the one my hospital gave me, but I had this c-section underwear thing that I wore all day and only took off at night. I felt like I was going to fall apart without them.

They told me I can wear it as much as I want. I haven’t been wearing it as much as I’d like to because I am a sweaty mess these days both day and night, but I do feel like it made me feel really good when I stuck with it.
