3 hour delay for everyone this morning! It’s so nice to have everyone home!

Morning! Everyone else is still asleep.

Today we find out who is replacing one of the Senior Managers on my team. Boss L applied for it. I don’t think she should get it but I fear what will happen if she doesn’t.

As for the job I applied for it could be weeks before I find out.

Morning ladies and happy Friday!

Nothing much going this weekend. We are expecting anywhere from 3-8" of snow Saturday into Sunday, so I want to get groceries on my way home from work today. I think one of my friends may come by for drinks and to talk tonight. Other than that, just a quiet weekend that will likely involve some snow shoveling.

The kids slept til 7:40 this morning, which was lovely. B has school and I think C and I are headed to Target and Dillard’s. Tonight a group of us from MOPS are going to Coopers Hawk for dinner/wine, so that should be fun!

Morning! Ds had carnaval today at school, he was so proud of his costume (Dutch Steve Irwin guy), of course dd wanted to wear a costume to, so she went to my parents as little red riding hood. A little over two hours at work and then weeeeekend!!!

She said her spit tasted yucky when she woke up. Anyone with acid reflux have a similar issue?

Taking Matthew to school then going to the hardware store. When we pick him up we're going to get cleats and shin guards for soccer.

Oh and target for a birthday gift. And we're going to let the boys spend their Christmas money on some new legos. They are estatic! They each have $57. So they'll get a good haul for that!

Does she sleep flat? You might try propping her up a bit so she's at more of an angle.

Morning!

M wasn’t happy about going to school this morning. I think he wanted to stay home with my ILs, but he has soccer this afternoon at school, so he went. M2 is a hot, clingy mess. His separation anxiety is so bad and exhausting.

We are making the offer today and OMG the anxiety is in full force. If you guys need me, I’ll be breathing into a paper bag. I hate this... please cross all the things that this goes smoothly.

So when can I introduce eggs? With lo we waited until he had some teeth. I’ve read it’s a great first food but I’ve also read 1 year.

I’ve been giving eggs for several months.

At our 6 month visit, our pedi said to make sure to start PB, eggs, and fish immediately.

9 months for citrus and then honey at 12.

Better to do the common allergens sooner rather than later is the current recommendation.

Your girl got an A+ (final grade 1487/1490) in Methods of Health Education.

I still have to take stats, epidemiology, and chem, but I’ve convinced myself I’m going to Summa Cum Laude this bitch.

Poor M tgrimes. Yes to the “spit tasting funny”. And when I was throwing up from the reflux, I didn’t always have burning or pain in my chest...sometimes just that awful taste coming up. I definitely think a food and drink journal would be helpful if they are thinking that it might be reflux. Some of my big triggers were soda, fried foods, chocolate, and tomato based sauces. But sometimes something as simple as drinking water would cause me trouble.

Does she drink bottled water much? I learned that a lot of bottled waters have acid in them. You want something that has a pH of 7 or higher. That makes it neutral or alkaline. Here is a good website that explains it:

And here is a list of brands and what their pH is:


I tested our well water and we had a high pH so I quit buying bottled water and started drinking our tap water when I was struggling so much. And I definitely noticed a difference. And when I did buy a bottle of water I usually stuck with Fiji water because I knew it was a good one.

Cute idea! Hope she loves it. P is crazy about scrambled eggs and I like that they’re easy to manage with her three teeth.
