lfig Remind me, were you vomiting multiple times in the morning? You can pm me if you want. I would vomit multiple times a day at its worst (like 8-9 times), and all throughout the day. Usually about 30 min to an hour after eating. But sometimes even when I hadn’t ate anything. Even chewing gum would cause me trouble. Because it signals to your body that you’re eating even if your not swallowing. And also drinking through a straw doesn’t help either, because it puts excess air into you. It helped when I slept propped, I bought a wedge pillow. But with M moving around a bunch, you might be better off to put something under the mattress to prop it up. In my case, the problem was the lower esophageal sphincter that was not tight enough. So it allowed the acid to come up too easily. Have they done an upper endoscopy on her? Or a gastric emptying study? The tests I had done were the upper endoscopy (which showed the hiatal hernia and loose lower esophageal sphincter), they did a gastric emptying study to see how food passes through the stomach and too see if it moves through in a timely fashion (that test was normal for me), and a pH probe study (which is where they put a tube up my nose and down my throat for 24 hours to see how much acid I was producing. This was the one that they did to verify I needed surgery. They’ve only done the upper GI, which showed no reflux with her swallowing. The dr said the next step would be an endoscopy.

nam2013 they both look so cute! Well done. I hope you guys can start identifying ways to reduce her reflux soon tgrimes. Poor M. MH has really bad reflux. Major diet changes, wedge pillow, and medications have been the most beneficial. He used to vomit frequently several times a day. Sometimes an empty stomach would cause problems too so he couldn't wait too long to eat. He needed to have small portions throughout the day. lahdeedah sorry for the pains of separation anxiety. It makes starting out the day so much tougher. Good luck with the house offer! Way to go cagoldi!

I haven’t read! But hi from the airport! I’m at the bar with a Bloody Mary, getting ready to enjoy a kid free/family drama free weekend.... and of course my dad chooses this moment to text me to tell me he told my mom about the divorce. Sorry, not dealing with it this weekend. I told him to consider me off the grid unless it’s an emergency.

Tonight the girls have Spar Wars at TKD where they get to do stuff with light sabers. I get about 1 1/2 hours of free time before I get to watch their final match so I'm excited as well.
Not much else going on. I'm in a funk about my family stuff. I'm just so disappointed in people. My aunt (the one I actually like) was supposed to call back after a meeting with the funeral home Monday. It's Friday and she hasn't called me. They have been going through dillhole's house and no one has contacted us about anything and I'm sure they won't. We went ahead and hired a lawyer so we can be certain that the full amount of the house was dispersed in the reverse mortgage, because if there's any value left in the house we're having the lawyer write them a letter to say get the fuck out of the house and give us the keys. Realizing that I need to cut my aunt and my grandma out of my life for my own sanity sucks.
On the plus side we leave for Disney World at the end of the month and I started booking fast passes today. I just can't wait to get the hell outta here and pretend this mess doesn't exist.

Well, i went into Dillards for earrings and came out with...earrings and a bunch of stuff for B. Today was the last day of their 40% off clearance, so i stocked up on some stuff for next winter for him. He was in 6/7 this year (one brand I like for him sizes that way) so I got him 8's...which about kills me. EIGHTs!) $170 worth for $44, not too shabby.

We have more interviews for X next week with a different SW and the school district psychologist. I guess they’re going to set up more evaluations with district therapists and give me more guidance on whether we should try to do Special Ed or the regular preschool enrollment.
It’s not that different in the sense that he would be in the same class with the same teacher either way, but the application and enrollment process is separate.

M won’t have uniforms next year, so yeah, I’m trying to get winter clothes while they are on sale.

It coincides for their spring break so every now and then I tell them how many days until break but they don't know we're going anywhere. My mom and brothers are coming too so it should be a lot of fun. My older brother also doesn't know and it will be a surprise for him.

His size was picked over in the brand of pants that I like but TONS of shirts, sweaters/pullovers, vests, etc. North Face zip-up fleeces for cheap, too. eta: maybe I'll go online and look at pants.

The boys made out like bandits at target. Ended up with 3 good size sets each and a blind bag each. With the birthday gift, we spent $150 on legos.

I think I remember in the dark days of high-spirited toddler parenting, inthekitty reassuring me that they will start to act human around five years of age. Dude is an absolute angel lately. He’s helping me carry and put away groceries, listening reasonably well, and being so sweet all around. This morning he asked if I would teach him to cook, and I asked what he wants to learn first. He said, “Bottles, so I know how to take care of my babies.” My heart exploded.

It was a simple thing but so sweet and showed that she's coming out of the cloud of narcissism which is the norm for toddlers/preschoolers.

Hello! We were supposed to go up north this weekend with my sister and BIL, but sickness in my niece and mom (our babysitter), we cancelled. MH took a half day and we sent the kids to my in-laws overnight. We did a Costco run, are having wine on the couch now and a nice dinner out later!

He said, “Bottles, so I know how to take care of my babies.” My heart exploded. The last couple of days S has been so thoughtful. B has been a beastly 2 year old, freaking out about everything, and S has been so kind, bringing him toys, even his beloved stuffed T Rex and saying "Here B, does this make you feel better?" But yesterday morning, I was making my usual gourmet breakfast for the boys (Frozen waffles or french toast and yogurt). Anyway, S gets 2 frozen items and B gets 1. They get to pick. B picked Spiderman Waffle and S picked waffle and french toast. Breakfast is served and B starts MELTING DOWN that he wants French toast. Screaming, crying, snot flying. I tell B tough, suck it up, it's what you asked for, so eat it, or you are going to school without breakfast (they have snack 20 minutes after he gets there so it's an easy threat). Anyway, S comes up and says "mom, can I give B my french toast? I'll take his waffle!". It was just so sweet. Wow, that was a long story.

Hiii! We’re on the shuttle to the airport. I don’t want vacation to end! It was nice we got to have a good chunk of the day to hang out. We made it to the beach and had time in the pool before we had to pack up. We land at 9:15 tonight so hopefully the kids will sleep on the plane. Not looking forward to returning to the cold and snow. Womp womp.
We told the kids about the baby and N is so excited and H doesn’t have a clue what we are talking about. Lol. We even got a cute photo shoot on the beach that I plan to use to announce in a few weeks.

So I think I said here our go-to sitter took a couple weeks to finally respond to me when I texted looking for a sitter last weekend. I responded that we'd made other plans, but did she have any availability this weekend or next? No answer. So after giving her a few days I booked our back-up. Just now Go-To Sitter texts saying she's free this weekend if we need a sitter. She's normally super responsive so IDK what's going on.

We’re meeting MH’s friends from college for dinner tonight. They’re taking about going to some other bar afterwards. I’m not feeling it. Besides, when I booked the babysitter I told her we’d be home around 10 since I thought it was just dinner.

I took the girls outside to play in the snow while I did a little bit of shoveling. Dang I’m sweaty. S didn’t last long but H loves the snow.

Hi hi. Typical cars 3 and Frozen pizza night. We couldnt find cars on Netflix at first and panicked that they took it off. We should just buy the movie and cancel Netflix at this point.
Tomorrow a friend is stopping by for the first time to drop off a gift, so speed cleaning will commence shortly.. and then working on my group paper.

Humph flamingo I bet one text saying "we didn't hear from you so we booked someone else, bummer!" Will get her to respond a bit more promptly. Maybe she's waiting for weekend plans to firm up before committing?
