DH and I were really productive yesterday, but I never worked out. Dammit. BUT group fitness classes start today on campus. I know I will at least be doing Wednesdays and Thursdays for spin and barre, respectively. Tuesdays are Turbo Kick, which I have not done since being KU, and I'm not sure it will be as fun doing necessary modifications. I really wish there was an afternoon yoga class besides aerial. I can never get to the lunch flow class and back in time.

I'm glad I keep tuna pouches at my work desk. I grabbed the wrong container of chicken when I packed last night and ended up with sketchy chicken that's over a week old. Pass.

The TRX class I went to was so hard that I couldn't finish all of the sets. I may have also made pained noises due to the screaming searing pain in my muscles. It requires a babysitter- a 12noon class, I mean, which isn't feasible on a regular basis.😟

I love pretty stationary! Is this where I AW my pretty notebook? The picture doesn't do it justice. Just looking at it instantly relaxed me. And of course some pretty new pens! I love it. I hope you enjoy using it! I love my bullet journal...truly life changing habit.

I saw 10 clients for a total of 11 hours today....I am beat, but I managed to get in exercise and I am about to stretch.

All 3 of my kids ate it as well! thisbitch my husband and 2 older kids are athletes and work out/ train daily. I'm the sloth in the bunch. They are all insanely supportive. They will work out or stretch with me at the drop of a hat and no one is complaining that they aren't getting bread and noodles at dinner. My son always alerts me when he wants to have cereal or bread so I won't have to look and be tempted. Haha. Overall, I feel like my family is very invested in my challenge. Nutrition was great today! The cilantro lime chicken and avocado was awesome and the kids loved it too. I just made lunches for the next few days.

I decided to take a break from social media, and really, the internet in general for the long weekend. I remember I didn't love the WLC screen restriction lifestyle challenge last time, but it actually felt good to temporarily unplug this past weekend. Back online tonight after a really good day— no points lost!

What sort of veggies do you guys grill? We do skewers with zucchini, summer squash, cherry tomatoes, sometimes red peppers. We also grill potatoes in foil packets and also do the occasional grilled asparagus. Any other ideas? Those are some of my favorites. I also love grilled mushrooms (big whole portobellos or smaller and skewered), grilled sweet potatoes, and grilled eggplant. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I tried a new easy compliant breakfast today— grapefruit sprinkled with coconut sugar and cinnamon, and broiled. It was really good!

I made an amazingly delicious super healthy dinner last night- it was quinoa with white beans, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion- maybe some other veggies, I forget, with fresh parsley from my garden. The dressing was lemon juice, white wine vinegar, and EVOO. I wish I had made a double batch, but good to know for next time. It was nice to get in so many veggies after a weekend of junk food.

yelah, you asked about my yoga practice. I started practicing when I was pregnant with my first (6yo). I had an accident right before I was pregnant and I had some residual pain and I couldn't get an appointment with the specialist PT and my OB recommended it. H did it with me, to be supportive. After pregnancy, I found one yoga teacher at my gym I liked, and I went to her once a week class for probably 5 years or so. Last fall, my girlfriend talked me into doing a Groupon at this hot yoga/circuit studio. I was sure I would hate it but gave it a try anyway. I fell in love. I got H a Groupon of his own and he fell in love too. We joined the studio around Christmas (when they were running membership specials) and dropped our gym membership. I love the yoga and the whole body fitness of it. I really like how much they focus on breathing. And the studio vibe is nice- it has a good feel. It's owned by a married couple with young kids (like us) and they're there a lot. It's hard to put into words all of the reasons we like it, but we both love it. And my H who is a competitive tennis player and runner has seen real benefits in both of those sports, his overall pain level, and his breathing from the practice. Sorry so long.
