I'm glad to be back, although a bit disappointed that I didn't even make it a week off board. When you guys are scrolling in the feed, is it wonky? For me, it either sticks or scrolls too fast. I'm always on mobile, which I know is something of a handicap, but since I'm exclusively mobile, I'm generally pretty adept at it. Maybe if this hadn't just started you might have made it longer? I definitely would have made it longer but I couldn't stand not talking to you guys.

I have also been really working on good enough is good enough this year. So much. I'm much better than I was but not where I want to be. Esp letting go a little of appearance. I've had 3 kids- an extra 5 pounds and not solid abs should be ok. Why are we so hard on our bodies? I'm trying to love it for what is does and has given me.

Hi ladies! I'm going to attempt to jump in!
I joined the challenge multiple days ago but haven't even gotten around to recording my score one day yet. (Insert embarrassed emoji.). Still haven't wrapped my head around all of it and been confused with all the board switching.

I work really hard to focus on how I feel rather than weight or clothing size. Some days it is really hard to do. But, I hope it models body positive attitudes for the kids, too. I think that this challenge has been so good for giving me the opportunity to think about myself and my own needs.

Hi, ncj, welcome! Can we help you started? Or help you figure things out? I'm just now taking the time to figure out the app and scoring and whatnot. I see I have 3 mulligans to go back and put in scores. Should I use them to put in scores from a couple of the days last week (which would be low scores) or save them for later?

I noticed a few comments about not feeling exercising and having trouble making that happen. This popped up in my FB feed today, and it felt timely. www.bodyforwife.com/the-exercise-myth/Here are a couple parts to think about (and no, it's not excusing you from continuing to get some activity in). "Fewer than 25% of the population exercises enough to obtain even minimal health benefits, and that only 5% of the population exercises with enough regularity and intensity to actually have any kind of impact on weight loss." "This doesn’t mean you’re lazy if you don’t succeed at exercise. It just means you’re not interested. It means you’re normal. It means you’re part of the 95%." Which is why people act at TB and I like we have three heads because we actually enjoy it. We are the odd man out, not you.

I love that article! Thanks so much for sharing. It encompasses my feelings on these plans in general. I've done paleo, fruit flush, whole 30....they were all to hard and extreme for me. I'm seriously loving the WLC. It's so much easier to actually do. (At least the kickstarter).

I'm having the best day! Did a 15 min core work out followed by a 45 min walk. I love weekends. I seriously feel amazing. I love that "tired muscle" feeling.

GhoatMonket my husband does all of our yard work (including hardscaping, digging, aerating, you name it!) himself and counts it as exercise. He's a beast out there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

thisbitch have you noticed that you don't eat huge portion sizes of food other than grains? This diet really slows down my large portion sizes of the past. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have struggled long term with self esteem and self image...I am working hard to be more self loving, mostly to present a positive model for my children. It doesn't help though when almost everyone around me has strong feelings about what bodies should or should not look like.

A little thought that I came across today that I very much like. I am trying to push myself this year in multiple areas of my life. Maybe some of you are on this journey too.

Woof. We went for a family hike and found a beautiful gorge and waterfall less than 5 minutes from our house!
I just finished weeding my last major overhaul flower bed. Now for some planting and general maintenance for the rest of the summer!
We rent and it sucks whoever rented before us didn't take care of the work the original owners put into it. But I guess I can thank them for the workout!

That was a really good read. I really appreciate the philosophy behind the WLC. The challenge is coming at a good time for me personally to start building new habits, so I'm trying to really embrace it.

Just finished my workout. I missed it a few times this past week and I thought I'd be too busy catching up on household stuff today to do it, so I'm really glad that I did it.

It's our last day with the dog. He's kept me so active this week. I might need an extra kick in the pants to keep up the walks.

If you have not been doing any kind of strength training, starting off with bodyweight exercises is your best bet. Added bonus- you can easily do them at home without any equipment. This is a decent routine to start. www.nerdfitness.com/blog/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/20 body weight squats 10 push ups 20 walking lunges 10 dumbbell rows (using a gallon milk jug) 15 second plank 30 Jumping Jacks Do 3 rounds of this.
