I really need it to be light out at night. I have very little motivation once the sun goes down. I cleared out my boots last night and tonight I’m going to work on flats, but I know that if it were still light out I could have easily finished all shoes/all categories in an evening.

Just went to Costco and swung by Gymboree bc I had a gc. Turns out yesterday was the last day to use them😠. I was a bit rude when she told me (thankfully I asked before I browsed) and said well I'm definitely not spending any more money here and peeled out of there. $66 wasted😭 (it was a returned gift, but still) That’s odd. They have to take them out here. They already received the money and can’t officially count it as a sale until they do. At least in California they can’t expire gift cards.

If someone goes to Denver and say buys edibles, can they bring them home? Can they mail them home to another state or is that something that gets checked? Asking for a friend.... So federally it’s illegal so you can’t mail it or you could be charged with distribution. If the state you are mailing it to has legalized it you can get in trouble with that state too.

I made ribs tonight. It was my first time and they actually ended up being really good. Cadence sat with a single bite in her mouth for 5 minutes moaning about how it was killing her. It was one freaking bite! It was the only one she took. Now she's just eating Mac n cheese.

MH and I read all the time, but we use our devices (or audio books). Yesterday, Josie remarked that that the library had books for grownups. We then realized that, even thought our house has plenty of physical books, we no longer read them. We explained to her that we read varied and often, but I know they need the model of a grownup reading a book, so I bought one a new one today and mh got one as a gift from a student a few weeks ago, so we tried today and it is a learning curve to get back to paper and ink. Plus I just like the feel and smell of a good book 😁 Me, too. I'm not great about the library but my mom, aunt, sister and I pass books back and forth. I have a Nook but can't even tell you the last time I used it, probably on a trip (they are certainly convenient). DH reads at least a book a week, but on his iPad.

I think the convenience of the digital format did it for me. I could read if I was waiting in the doctor’s office, in my car on audio, or on fly through multiple books on vacation, and I could satisfy myself with 5 minutes or an hour bc it was always with me. I don’t know if the kids will see me reading as I don’t imagine it will happen during the day (unless everyone is laying around on a weekend) but it might be nice for me to start telling them that I will read some before bed or that I’m excited to get a a new book at the library.

I saved his plate for lunch today and he ate the ribs all up.

guster I agree it's nice to have the book with you wherever you go, and it's super convenient to get a new one whenever you want with digital. Interesting that you don't enjoy the physical aspect of an actual book. I find I need frequent breaks from the screen, so switching to a book is a welcome relief. I also think the environment of the house changes when everyone switches to a book. Sounds, strange I'm sure...but it's a noticible transition.

Another long day. We saw 5-6 more houses today- in the rain- and nothing that we want to put an offer on. Now we watch like a hawk for anything new popping up. Le sigh.

I never did— the whole smell-of-the-pages, feel-in-my-hand kind of thing. I have books I taught that I love love love having the physical copies of bc my notes from year after year are in them, but i have always been very hard on my books. I still throw out dust covers, even on the kids’ new books, and I dog ear pages to save my place. I like them all in the house in case anyone who visits wants to pick one up or borrow one, but I don’t feel the desire to read from them if there is an easier way.

The older women at my old bank did this. They all would initial the back and whoever was the last initial would donate it.

We had dinner at my brothers to plan a summer vacation. Then had to go to my in laws. My fil was in a mood and was down right hateful to my kids. I did not hide my annoyance well... I have a crushing migraine and am exhausted. But idk why because I've done literally nothing today.

DS lost his game but had 2 goals and an assist. We all made it to the Devil’s game. The snow we were suppose to get was only rain. I’m up with the 2 little boys and everyone else is sleeping.

I love books, actual books. When I went to uni with the train every day, I always carried a book with me. Given the speed I can read at, and e-reader would be a smart thing to invest in. But nothing beats the smell of a new book.

Morning. Had an awful night with dd, awake every hour and a 104 degree fever. She seems a little better today, so we’ll see. The weather is amazing, so I sat outside and the kids played. I was stupid enough to forget to bring a book, if my 20yo could see me now 🤦🏼♀️.

Morning Ladies! We made it to mom's house in the city and it's seems to have survived the cold weather fairly well. Ferris has been so well behaved and loved having a fenced yard to run through the snow in, even though it's tiny. We are thinking of doing an invisible fence at home when the ground thaws in the spring.
I just got woken up by 3 out of my 4 babies who are excited to go to the aquarium and see the fishies. Evie was not among them. Anyone else's N13 sleep in? She is usually the last one awake, besides my teenager of course.

kim22 congrats to DS on the goals and assist. Can I ask when he started playing hockey? My kids have done basic skills classes and they play games with neighbors in the backyard, but are still in the stages where they complain a lot about their feet hurting in the skates.

S will sometimes sleep in but not as often

H stayed home sick today. Day 4 of the plague in my house. I need to go buy some Lysol and start wiping everything down. I think I'm safe, since we have been sleeping in the same bed and I haven't come down with anything yet, but I am worried about Evie catching this shit. Four days of diarrhea sounds like hell for a 5yr old.

Morning I’m off today but taking the kids to daycare shortly and then I plan on being lazy all morning. I will squeeze in a workout sometime I suppose. Then I have my first OB appt this afternoon!
I’m looking at the weather forecast and it’s making me crabby. Our flight leaves Sunday at 6 am. We have a fundraising event until 11pm Saturday and will have to leave our house by like 3 am. So now, on top of that, we are supposed to get 8 inches of snow Saturday night/ Sunday morning. Which means we might have to leave even earlier and then could face a delayed flight. Fingers crossed this forecast changes a lot between now and then.

mwhip start her on the probiotics now and maybe, if she does get it, it will be a lesser version.

My mom came over yesterday and we had wine, then I took a nap from 5-7pm and went to bed at 8:30. So obviously I was wide awake at 2am. 2 of my sisters and their kids are coming over today though!
